  1. Sounds like a perfect addition to the Kaliphlin peoples! Their isolationism is probably why we've heard so little of them until now?
  2. Are those lands canon or more considered to be something like tales of those lands? I'm just thinking that it might be good if the canon game world is extended in a controlled way (such as when Varlyrio was described by being the winning entry in the fifth guild challenge) so that players don't start introducing too much content outside Historica in ways which should have impacts on Historica? I know however that I've used characters from "islands in the southern sea" so I guess I'm kind of guilty of that too Anyways, there's still plenty of room in Historica to for example create another city-state in Kaliphlin or county in Avalonia so I think that should be very welcome! Adding new islands around Kaliphlin sounds like a reasonable way of adding such new entities as well, especially if they claim to be quite independent from the Petraean rule. Just a note to new players that very substantial claims of representing great empires or the like may be frowned upon as empty boasting by some residents of Historica
  3. Great to hear that some greco-roman parts might find some use! Havn't really been able to find a lot of use of them in Historica yet...
  4. I agree, that opens up a lot of interesting possibilities
  5. Very nice build! You are definitely one of the top microscale builders of GoH Clever design of the houses and crop field. I think however that the castle is missing a tower or two in the left part of the wall? I also think the presentation would have been improved by having a smoother background or editing it to remove the corners. UoP +1 for Studs up Rocks and Cliffs (Landscape Design), Crop Farming (Agriculture and Zoology), Mountains or Cliffs (Geography).
  6. Nice selection of goods in that wagon! And the base looks great as well
  7. Great to hear that you are coming too! Don't forget to register as an exhibitor before next week! In addition to my Swebrick medieval collab module (Nordana Castle), I'm planning to bring the Swamplands Tower (Challenge 2.1 B), Barqan Hospital (Challenge 2.2 B) and Mitgardian Trade. So all playable guilds will be represented in my builds I'm also thinking of maybe bringing the Unrest in Varlyrio as well to cover all 5 guilds, but that build is less "show-adapted" as its back sides did not get any attention and looks terrible. Kaliphlin really deserves a better build, had I known that I would break a hand and an elbow I wouldn't have torn down the Lighthouse of Barqa at the end of Brickworld... But I suppose there's no harm in registering a build that is not yet built in the hopes of being able to finish it by late September? In that case I just have to decide which of my numerous ideas for Kaliphlin builds I should enter...and choose one that is reasonably easy to force-build in a couple of weeks with only one hand if needed It's my first time there as well, looking forward to it so much!
  8. Hope you get well soon too, DM & TUB32! I had such a great idea for the SG water supply, with an aqueduct, a reservoir behind the wall, a fountain for the townspeople etc... But now my gate and town houses will be my only contributions before the deadline. Might hopefully end up building the water supply as a freebuild or for some challenge some other time
  9. Very nice scene! My favorite parts are the tent and the palm tree Where are those centaur bodies from?
  10. Really nice walls! (I think the pics are a bit too yellow however, maybe check your white balance settings?)
  11. Great figs and innovative use of that stingray!
  12. Great Kaliphlin scenes! I really like the tan and medium dark flesh level with some neat use of those half-arches, as well as that nice ballista.
  13. Nice scene(s)! The minifigs and the floor are great here. You are really productive now, keep it up!
  14. Interesting details on the front, especially the droid heads UoP +1 for Architecture: advanced windows, and Architecture: 1x1 round plate walls
  15. Creepy room, you've done a great job with the atmosphere here!
  16. I was looking forward to building something more for SG before the deadline, but the Kaliphlin curse seems to have struck me too...got plaster on one arm from the shoulder to the knuckles after flying off my bicycle in 20+ mph. Well, at least I might get some sorting done with my good arm and I'm really looking forward to following the Battle of the Wither Woods as it unfolds!
  17. Wow! Classic Legonardo style, only that this is taken to a new level of refinement My favorite parts are the roof (especially the smooth shape) and the stone wall.
  18. Very nice build, I always love when we get to see everyday life scenes from Nocturnus! Great minifigs!
  19. Looks very wooly and Mitgardian, good job!
  20. Very nice structure! I like how you've mixed the grey/bley very well to achieve a polished look and still get a nice amount of variation I agree however that the natural rocks could have been differentiated a bit more from the quarried rocks. Maybe some vegetation/green plates on the rocks would have been an idea?
  21. Very nice creature! My favorite parts are the wings and the head
  22. Nice landscaping and fig combos! The hut reminds me of Orcish architecture in Warcraft
  23. RAW+jpeg = 15 MB/pic
  24. Great fig combinations and posing!
  25. Great work with the lava, both the flow and the cooled off black lava rocks! I also like the grate a lot and of course the story Looking forward to reading more!
