  1. Many nice details, I like the balance between light bluish gray and tan
  2. Welcome to Barqa! I like the small house very much, and the water trough looks nice as well
  3. I fully agree with the fact that the guerrilla concept is overpowered (which is something I have been trying to say from the start ). Right now it also makes the GoH forum way too spammed which means that I and many others don't even have the time to go through the forum, let alone comment on the builds. So I'm fully behind any changes in the system to make it more about quality than quantity and to shift focus towards the warzones. And I'm saying this despite the fact that the HC has not had a lot of luck in the warzones
  4. Excellent architecture! I will remember that pillar design Public baths fit very well in the Kaliphlin society in my opinion. A tad too much gray for my taste, but the colorful details make up very well for that
  5. Very nice fountain Also UoP +1.
  6. Very nice buildings and action! My favorite photo is the closeup pic in the middle with the elephant at the back and all the action in front and on the sides
  7. Excellent rockwork and great atmosphere overall The statues are lovely, I especially like the one on the coffin on the right! Since I cannot really find something to give constructive criticism on the build, I will try two small remarks on the photography instead: I think it's good to cover up small leaks like the ones behind the figs on the building if the building lacks a proper backside. I also think it is usually better to take the camera a bit further back to avoid having too much wide angle and having the perspective make objects at the edges lean too much, like the pillar to the left (I usually take my overview pics nowadays with the camera at least 1.5-2 m from the build).
  8. Nice wall and great way to hide those soldiers (A small piece of photography advice is to work on the white balance, these pics look quite blue to me?)
  9. Tan is very sensitive to the white balance in my experience. I usually calibrate my white balance against a white piece of paper, but I'm going to get a proper gray card soon. Best thing anyway is to shoot in RAW and have all the freedom to correct this in the computer
  10. Thanks everyone! These elves blending into the background makes me want to try my hand at some more elven builds in the future...aarrgh so much to build and so little time!
  11. Thanks for pointing it out, I was obviously too tired at 01:12 AM to notice it
  12. It is definitely the details which stand out in this build My favorite details are the wagon and how you have incorporated the new fence parts. As usual, I'm a bit ambivalent regarding the "not fully attached tiles" techniques, but I guess it is no worse than techniques with completely loose parts. In any case, the result looks very good!
  13. I would like to claim the following UoP Credits Duel in the Sacred Forest - certifications: Forests [Geography] = 1 credit Trial of Haxtarus - certifications: Courtroom [Trade and Law] = 1 credit Still missing votes: Transporting a Valuable Load - certifications: Grasslands [Geography] 1 vote missing Ice Fishing in Mitgardia - certifications: Fishing [Agriculture and Zoology], Underwater [Hydrology] 2 votes missing
  14. Duel in the Sacred Forest Warzone 11: "The Battle for Cresentthorn’s Favor", C4 Ardeshir, a desert tribe chieftain, is battling one of the champions of the Desert King. They are fighting in an ancient ruin in the Wither Woods, the which is rumored to have been the place where Kaligem signed the first treaty with the Cresentthorn elves. Al’Meter has detailed a pair of his elves to watch over the duel. Ardeshir has managed to disarm his opponent and is now only a heartbeat away from plunging his fearsome weapon into the chest of his foe. My entry to Warzone 11: The Battle for Cresentthorn’s Favor in the Kaliphlin civil war. UoP credits claimed: Forest [Geography]
  15. Counter guerrilla at C5, High Council vs Ulandus
  16. Trial of Haxtarus Counter guerrilla build for the High Council against Ulandus, zone C5. Haxtarus, ruler of Cefivia, a location on the outskirts of the Witherwoods, has betrayed the High Council and handed over control of his territory to Ulandus. High Council soldiers have seized him and he is now facing trial and most probably execution for his treason. In any case, the treaty with Ulandus is declared null and void. UoP credits claimed: Courtroom [Trade and Law] Counter to guerrilla attack Signing A Treaty by Kai NRG: For the Republic!
  17. Lovely architecture, excellent fig combos and fig posing! I really like the sand green base as well.
  18. I'm sad to realize that this is definitely not the last bloodshed that will happen in the Jewel of the Desert before this conflict is over... OoC: Wow! This is probably the best build we've seen so far in the challenge, well done! This is also definitely one of the top depictions of Petraea, along with excellent builds such as Etzel's Mitgardian embassy and Erynlasgalen's builds. The story ties in great with the war as well, and nice to see that the epic battle for Petraea has started already! Edit: Forgot to add ' ', but maybe that is self-explanatory?
  19. Fearsome beast for sure! (Is it just my browser or has some of the pics gotten distorted?)
  20. Excellent shrine and magic effects I also like the lore you've written, especially the clarification regarding Kaliphlinites fear of the sea!
