  1. Sounds like a good plan! I am definitely envious of you in America who have a PaB wall just about everywhere
  2. Sounds good! I mistook your statement of that it was your last freebuild for Avalonia for that you were taking a break
  3. Good to have a context for the gate. The gatehouse itself is ok (could maybe have had more uniformity in the colors, hurts my eyes a bit ) but what I really like in this build is the snowscape, it really feels like the snow has drifted up towards the wall. Looks like you have it in you to become a great builder of the snowy Mitgardia!
  4. The shrine is nice, and I really enjoy your hidden Hand base beneath it. It looks as the shrine is built on a turf roof on a wooden building, I don't know if that was the intention? If not, maybe you should have had a bit thicker ground on the high ground before the room beneath starts.
  5. Excellent use of that limited baseplate real estate! The castle itself is wonderful, but that you have taken the effort to make it able to unfold takes it to another level! Well done and good luck in the election!
  6. The roof is wonderful as usual, and the dark brown wood and stonework looks fabulous! NPU with cannons as chimney as well
  7. Wonderful ship, but I think the water is what really stands out! At least on my screen it is a bit hard to see, are the waves white or light Bley?
  8. Nice ruin, you are really developing an interesting style here...keep it up! (When you return )
  9. Looks very promising Masa! Interesting parts usage and an impressive scale!
  10. Beautiful groundwork and I like the mottling in the tower as well! However I think the straight line all the way down between the "brick bricks" should maybe have been avoided, especially when you also have more texturing on top of the brick bricks.
  11. Wonderful build, and even better when seeing it in some of its context! I love the modular nature of the project, and in this specific build the rockwork is near-perfect
  12. There are some trouble brewing in Kaliphlin and Mitgardia as well if ZC's original Ch VI story is to be believed as I recall it, but I can't recall seeing anything in the official lore about that...? Maybe we'll just wait and see what happens after the Mitgardian election and wait until the start of Book 2 to see if the rumors of a rebellion in Kaliphlin against Lord Flagg are true? All Kaliphlins are maybe not happy with his absent style of leadership...?
  13. Excellent MOC, especially the wall! The ground and pond is also very appealing and has a realistic look. I think the color scheme in general is very well balanced, but i think the dark green might have looked better on the lower part of the wall and not the crenelations. The banding in the wall is also a tad to pronounced, I think a more mixed light/dark bley tile pattern would have gone even further in creating that worn feeling you seemed to aim for.
  14. Another great MAC entry, good job! I love the snot arches on the wall, but the real eye catcher in my opinion is how well you've done the damaged part and the scaffolding and construction equipment.
  15. Perhaps an idea for a Book 2 challenge to build the Wonders of Historica?
  16. Haha, I was a bit confused as well... I meant east after seeing the map :P But never mind, the build is great nevertheless!
  17. Building small is not necessarily a bad thing, I think you've done a very good job capturing the reconstruction feeling! The idea of building in wood atop a stone ruin feels appropriate and the tan/brown mix in the logs (wood/bark?) works very well!
  18. Wow! This diorama is really well done, I am impressed by all the details you've put in it My only small complaint is that the waterfall seems a bit oversized compared to the stream at the front, but maybe its very deep there instead?
  19. Wonderful little diorama! I agree with previous posts that the season variations really are the icing (no pun intended) on the cake here!
  20. Wonderful build, I really like the landscaping in front of the mountain. Your vegetation looks awesome, and the road is great (if maybe a tad to repetitive in my taste). I'm not at all bothered by the "bricky" nature of the rockwork, maybe because you've used just enough sloping pieces as well. It's actually really nice to see mostly light bley rockwork for a change!
  21. Thanks for a fantastic half-year with Kaliphlin, I've really enjoyed building with you and spending too much time reading and commenting here! I'm taking a break from GoH now since I'm going to have limited access to my bricks for a while and besides that focus my building time towards another project (which I should have started already, but the Tour project made me squeeze out a couple of unplanned MOCs ) During the summer I will try to keep up with what's posted here but probably not commenting as much as I'm used to as it takes forever to write on my phone... I count on being back building for GoH in mid-late October and hope I don't miss the start of Book 2. Enjoy the summer (for you on the northern hemisphere at least ) and once again thank you very much Kaliphlin and all of you who make GoH what it is!!
  22. Scary altar, and those red acolytes really look mean as well! I can imagine the chasm below that bridge, and I would not want to cross it
  23. I still have to vote...it's so hard to decide! But a deadline is probably exactly what I needed ;)
  24. Your plant work is excellent! (as usual ) I also think the temple is very well balanced in size and colors. The only thing I have to complain a bit about is ground in front of the temple which looks a bit unfinished, maybe should have had a stone path or something?
  25. It really looks like there is volcanic sand underneath that vegetation Really nice to see all those native CMFs put to good use!
