  1. Another day, another bug. I can't complete step 25 of the 8070 Custom Chopper because part 32526 runs into part 64394. However, I can place part 32316 there, so at least I have a temporary workaround...I think. LXF File -Toa Of Justice
  2. You're welcome. My idea is that the humans should follow the aliens into space and continue the battle there, with all-new space vehicles like yours. -Toa Of Justice
  3. Thanks everyone! I'm glad you like my MOCs! I used maximum shading and outlining. Also, Oceana sports the Metallic Blue color from Aanchir's BIONICLE Color Chart rather than the standard Bright Blue color. -Toa Of Justice
  4. Yay, LEGO Racers still works on my machine! Now, here are my custom racers, as promised: Astro Kid The Volcano Fire Racer Space Baron Plus two more I created today! The unbelievably fast Racing Angel... ...and the ironically slower Speed Demon. Full Brickshelf Gallery (when public) -Toa Of Justice
  5. That's an awesome MOC, Giovanne! It looks like it would fit well in a return of the Alien Conquest theme in 2012 (if LEGO ever decides to do that...hint, hint, LEGO! ). By the way, you also have my thanks for posting the LXF file. -Toa Of Justice
  6. I've played LR1, LR2, LEGO Stunt Rally, and LEGO Drome Racers. Of those, I prefer LR2 the most because of the exploration ability, the great music (Rigel's and Rocket Racer's themes especially), and in the Mars environment, hovercrafts! Indeed it has! Now I really want to go play LEGO Racers and Stunt Rally again, but I can't get Stunt Rally to work on my Win7 PC (even under an XP virtual machine). I'm going to try my dad's old XP laptop and hope for the best! Those aspects can be annoying, but after some practice, you won't miss checkpoints very often. It did happen to me quite a bit early on though. Of course, if I fall into last place, that's when some of the more destructive power-ups (such as the homing missile and the super brick remover) tend to be more frequent, and then revenge is mine... If I can get LEGO Racers 1 to run on my PC, I'll try to get some screenshots for you. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Whoops, I almost forgot: I really want to see more screenshots of that awesome Rogue Shadow racer!
  7. Thanks very much for the nice comments, everyone! I agree about the level of detail. In fact, I was surprised by how well the Atlantis trident elements fit on the 8-module-long HF armor--it made a very nice armor decoration comparable to Fire Lord's printing (but in 3D instead!) Neptune already uses Fire Lord's torso. I initially didn't use the same torso on Oceana, but now here she is with that torso, as well as an extended tail to compensate for the larger torso: LXF File Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather keep the colored bones--without them, my models would lose quite a bit of color and distinctiveness. Oh, and I am a huge teal fanatic! Oceana actually has 4 colors--metallic blue, teal, reddish violet, and metallic sand blue. By the way, the Fire villains have some differently colored bones, as do some of the 3.0 Heroes. Neptune's fins were a bit of a last-minute addition to keep him more in line with Oceana. I fixed them a bit though: LXF File As for the details, I do agree with the crowding, so I removed a few on Oceana (but added some more elsewhere, especially on her neck and back). I suppose my intention was to experiment (hence the topic title) with the new HF building system and the vast variety of colors and pieces available in LDD Extended Mode. The theme kinda came about by accident--I thought my heroes looked rather aquatic with the colors I chose for them, so I went with that theme. I'm glad you think it's a success! -Toa Of Justice
  8. UPDATE - May 20, 2011: Please see my revisions a few posts below, or click here to access them directly. I was experimenting with LDD 4.1's Extended Mode, and these two beings emerged from my creativity. Click any image for a larger version. Backstory: Alexander and Mimi were once humans engaged to each other, vacationing on a cruise ship. Suddenly, disaster struck, the ship sank, and they tragically died before they had a chance to get married. Later, while on a reconnaissance mission, the Hero Factory Alpha Team's drop ship found them at the bottom of the sea and brought them back to the Factory. Their souls were given new bodies, and now they are alive once again. Their mission is to protect Earth's oceans from pirates, terrorists, and environmental hazards. Hero Factory Experiment 01: Neptune (a.k.a. Alexander Goldstein) LXF File Alexander fights enemies with his shoulder-mounted and hand-held blades, multi-tool water shield with twin spear launchers and saw blades, hydro fins (which can be removed and used as additional blades), and aqua boosters (those golden canisters on his back). He favors speed over armaments, so he's not quite as heavily armed as his fianceé is. Hero Factory Experiment 02: Oceana (a.k.a. Mimi Hunter) LXF File Mimi protects the oceans with her sharp claws, numerous spikes, spear launchers (on her multi-tool water shield and on her upper right arm), grappling hook launcher, torpedo blades (the ones with the purple cones, which can be launched or used as mêlée weapons), water wings, and hydro thrusters. Sometimes, she has difficulty controlling her temper, especially around those who intentionally do harm to innocent people or wildlife. Full Brickshelf Gallery (when public) So, are these experiments a success or a failure? -Toa Of Justice
  9. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! I didn't base my model off any real-life aircraft--I designed it purely from my imagination. -Toa Of Justice
  10. This is a seriously awesome MOC, wooootles! I think your design should have been sold in place of LEGO's sports car set. It might be a bit more expensive, but I think it would be worth it! -Toa Of Justice
  11. FireFlyer by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF -Toa Of Justice
  12. May 3, 2011: I updated my model with a refill hose. I created this MOC back in 2007, and revamped it this year. Click on any image for a larger version. The FireFlyer was created to fight fires in the mountains outside LEGO City. Its front lights are highly maneuverable to seek out flames through smoke and people in distress on the ground. From the back, you can see that the water tanks can drop their load directly on a fire. The hoses can detach and be used as fire hoses. The all-terrain landing gear can deploy and retract. In action, fighting a fire while hovering in place thanks to its tilt rotors. With the roof removed, you can see the cockpit and some spare supplies which can be dropped off to ground firefighters. Download the LXF file here! - Original 2007 Version LXF File - Brickshelf Gallery (when public) -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Whoops, I almost forgot to thank Superkalle for providing the key to LDD's Extended Mode.
  13. 30036 - Buggy Racer - Theme: Racers LXF File 7801 - Rally Racer - Theme: Racers LXF File 7802 - Le Mans Racer - Theme: Racers LXF File 30014 - Police Helicopter - Theme: City LXF File 7804 - Lizard - Theme: Creator LXF File As far as I know, these sets are error-free, except that 7801 and 7802 do not have stickers. -Toa Of Justice
  14. I found this page via Google that should help with fixing the auto-reboot after Windows Update. I hope it helps. -Toa Of Justice
  15. 2065 - Furno 2.0 - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: 2067 - Evo 2.0 - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model. EDIT 2: Switching to Ninjago for a moment before I build the Fire Lord... Now the parts are available to update that set! If you get a chance, Aanchir, could you please do so? You're welcome to use my Modern Sphere Launcher template if you want to. EDIT 3: 30083 - Dragon Fight - Theme: Ninjago LXF File Proper minifig decorations weren't available, so I just left all the surfaces blank except for the face, which has a substituted Collectible Minifigure Ninja face decoration. EDIT 4: And now, here's... 2235 - Fire Lord - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model, other than that the lava sphere should be marbled red and flame yellowish orange.
  16. I found and corrected a slight error with the LDD decorations file--Stormer's armor was misprinted. Now all six Heroes 2.0 can be made properly! LXF File -Toa Of Justice
  17. 2194 - Nitroblast - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model, other than that the lava sphere should be marbled red/flame yellowish orange. In addition, the green "eye" and the "Villain Cores" aren't perfectly flush with their connecting surfaces. I should point out that LDD's hinge controls are much improved--I can bend the flamethrower/blowtorch arm up and down, and the support mechanism and hose move with it! -Toa Of Justice EDIT: 2068 - Nex 2.0 - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model, other than that the Multi-Tool Ice Shield faces one way on the canister, but the instructions show it differently. I followed the instructions. EDIT 2: 2063 - Stormer 2.0 - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model, other than that the hose cannot be colored Transparent on the outside and blue on the inside, so I settled for Transparent Fluorescent Blue. EDIT 3: 2142 - Breez 2.0 - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model. EDIT 4: 2141 - Surge 2.0 - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model. It was quite hard to connect the rifle to both arms, but when I finally did, both arms move in sync, holding the rifle all the time!
  18. I just built Drilldozer today, and I noticed a few bugs with the Hero Factory joint system. EDIT: I should also point out that when rotating certain Hero Factory joints, the angles aren't the usual 18-degree increments, and sometimes other axes are rotated while one axis is rotated.
  19. 2192 - Drilldozer - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File As far as I know, there are no errors in this model, other than that the lava sphere should be marbled red/flame yellowish orange. I should point out that LDD's hinge controls are much improved--I can bend the drill arm up and down, and the support mechanism (which was quite hard to connect) in the back moves with it! Unfortunately, the Hinge Align tool doesn't seem to work for the new Hero Factory joint system yet, and if I try to enter a degree value using my keyboard for some joints, it rejects my value and picks a random one near my value, even if my value falls within a valid range of angles. -Toa Of Justice
  20. I'm sorry, but that shortcut doesn't seem to work on my computer. Thanks anyway though. Actually, that's not quite an MOC, but thanks anyway. It's set #7712 Supernova, rendered in LDD with a few parts substituted due to lack of proper parts. I made it for this topic of official sets made in LDD. -Toa Of Justice
  21. Thanks, Aanchir. I fixed the knee angles, and I even managed to put the sphere into the launcher! (I'll do the same for a Thornax too, then I'll put both in the LDD reference topic to complement my Zamor launcher.) -Toa Of Justice
  22. 2193 - Jetbug - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File The black armor element on one leg should be printed, but that's one armor decoration for that element not available in LDD. The lava sphere should be marbled red/flame yellowish orange, but that's not possible. As far as I know, the trans-orange shade for the armor is correct (it came from Design byME). -Toa Of Justice
  23. Here is a series of brick-built Creator Mini alternate models I made and created LXF files for. Dozer by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF Turbo Sled by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF Booster Racer (+ Mini Cargo Plane) by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF Sky Cruiser by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF -Toa Of Justice
  24. Here you go! LXF File I couldn't figure out a suitable color for the Zamor spheres other than what I presume came with the Zamor packs, which I believe is also 296 Cool Silver. I hope that's OK. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Here's a Thornax Launcher and a Modern Sphere Launcher (so called because it has been seen in multiple modern themes, including Hero Factory, Power Miners, and World Racers). LXF File LXF File
  25. I just figured out a way to get the spheres into the launcher. It involved modifying the coordinates of the launcher rather than the spheres, using some simple scaffolding (hidden in this picture). LXF File Unfortunately, LDD crashed every time I tried to load this file. I'll try again in a little bit. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Yay, now I have a stable file! Stable LXF File
