  1. Great review, Cakeman. Does Brick Daddy's head glow in the dark? Its color seems to suggest that. -Toa Of Justice
  2. Great work! I like the way all the parts come together around the trike chassis in this MOC. Also, the minifig you made is cool, but he looks rather uncomfortable! -Toa Of Justice
  3. This is an awesome MOC, J4ke. I especially like the design of the tail and the propeller, as well as the use of Throwbot heads. By the way, here is the correct link to this MOC's Flickr set: Click here. -Toa Of Justice
  4. Thank you so much for this program, Superkalle! It will be so much easier to find bricks in Universe mode now! -Toa Of Justice
  5. That's a very nice MOC, de-marco! I especially like the water effects and the smooth curves. -Toa Of Justice
  6. I almost wasn't going to enter, because I thought my photographs came out horrible. But then, I changed my mind. This is a vignette for the Caveman. A person dressed as a caveman is supposed to be answering questions about ancient technology (fire and the wheel) in the LEGO Museum of Natural History, but he is out to lunch now. -Toa Of Justice
  7. You took the words right off my keyboard, Perfectionist. I totally agree with your comments. -Toa Of Justice
  8. At first, some of the links didn't work when I clicked them. They seem to be better now though. zero1312, your MOC is very impressive. For a moment, I thought the barrels could spin around a central axle (like a Gatling gun), but the location of the power meter quickly put that thought to rest. If I were to modify your MOC, I would move the power meter out of the way of the barrels so they could spin around. I don't know how accurate that would be though. -Toa Of Justice
  9. I paid about 51.14 USD for my model, not including tax. When I initially ordered my model, I was able to benefit from a limited free shipping deal, but that deal is no longer available. With a new, important correction to my digital model file, the model now costs 51.35 USD before taxes and shipping. If you have a LEGO VIP account, you might be able to redeem some of your VIP points to reduce the cost of the model. 10. I'm sorry to revive this topic, but now I have pictures of the real model, direct from LEGO Design byME! You can click any of the pictures to zoom in. Here's the front of the box... ...and the back... ...or should I say boxes? I didn't see a need to photograph the inside of the inner box, but it has a hinged lid and double end walls, unlike most standard LEGO boxes--very luxurious. No wonder Design byME sets cost so much... On to the model itself! Testing the suspension, using a concealed Pick A Brick cup lid as a bump. The rover without the flyer on top. The flyer, using the Pick A Brick cup lid as a stand. Finally, the minifig outside his flyer. Enjoy! -Toa Of Justice
  11. I just got an e-mail from the LEGO Club with a pair of exclusive wallpapers! LEGO Toy Story 3 Minifig Lineup A Crowd of Little Green Alien Minifigs Enjoy! -Toa Of Justice
  12. I'm not exactly sure whether this qualifies as an official set, but it did come from an official LEGO Idea Book, #697. It's still pretty cool though, so I decided to post it here for everyone to see. I'm not sure what the official name of this model is, but it's the second Aquazone model in the idea book. Based on the cockpit shape, I have given it a preliminary name of "AquaPod." (click for bigger picture) A 2x4x2 brick with studs on 3 sides would not connect to the 90-degree octagonal pieces (the stud cutouts were missing in those octagonal pieces) in the front, so I used different pieces to build the 2x4x4 brick in that area. In addition, there was an error in the instructions regarding the crystal placement (the 1x1 round bricks meant to keep the crystals away from the 3x3 angle plates are left out after the step in which they are inserted), so I had to work around that. Aside from that, I substituted torso and face prints for close matches of real Aquanauts pieces, and there are no decorations on any of the tiles. I did decorate the slope inside the cockpit though (it may not be accurate, but I thought it was necessary). LXF File -Toa Of Justice EDIT: This model loaded for me in LDD4 without any problems.
  13. Now I get the Classic Space reference! Did you take a picture of your model? If so, I'd like to see it. If not, I understand. -Toa Of Justice
  14. Great review! I'll be sure to consider Snake Canyon in my next round of purchases. At first, I thought the catapult was a new piece, but it seems to be just a minifig pot attached to this TECHNIC connector (which was first released in the 2006 Soccer sets IIRC). You took the words right out of my mouth off my keyboard. Maybe it's a super-mutant snake that acts more vicious than it appears. -Toa Of Justice
  15. Thanks for the comments, everybody! Thanks! Hmm...I'm not exactly sure how SmartAir would fit into Classic Space. For one thing, the driver isn't even wearing a space helmet. Could you please explain what you meant by that? -Toa Of Justice
  16. Great job, Captain Green Hair! I especially like all the details on your model (such as the smaller doors and the red rails along the sides), as well as your interesting windshield technique. And of course, I agree with the other posters that the chrome is awesome. -Toa Of Justice
  17. Here's my latest MOC... SmartAir Why bother with airport security and rental car fees, when you can just rebuild your Small Car into a drivable airplane and fly to your destination yourself? It even holds the suitcase in the back! Bonus feature: The box can act as a hangar! Front View Side View Back View (a little blurry) Brickshelf Gallery (when public) By the way, my model uses all the pieces in the set (minus the extras). Enjoy! -Toa Of Justice
  18. All right then! (All models in this post fixed for LDD 4.1.8 on January 5, 2012) 8190 - Claw Catcher - Theme: Power Miners Bigger Picture LXF File Unfortunately, there are a few inaccuracies, but otherwise, I believe my rendering is 100% instructions-accurate. Feel free to point out anything else I can do to improve it. The Lava Monster has no eyes, but that's a limitation of LDD. The driver (Brains) has a substituted torso print, and no leg printing. Obviously, stickers were left off (they weren't available in LDD). Not all accessories could fit into the side crates, but again, that's a limitation of LDD. Fixed! I was able to use clip plates to secure some of the accessories in temporarily, then I deleted the clip plates to give the illusion of the accessories in their crates. There is supposed to be an 8x8 grill plate over the water tank, but it wouldn't fit over the hinge plate, so I used a regular 8x8 plate instead. Fixed! 8059 - Seabed Scavenger - Theme: Atlantis Bigger Picture Older Picture (with decoration) Larger Older Picture (with decoration) LXF File Unfortunately, the helmet piece is different (I couldn't find the proper one) (Fixed!), there's no leg or torso printing on either figure, and there's no stickers. Also, I had to put the diver's flippers somewhere. Ordinarily, I would have used the holes on either side of the Atlantis helmet, but I still couldn't do that this time. In addition, LDD's poorly programmed hinge controls completely prevented me from moving the joystick in the cockpit into the minifigure's hand, but that's a minor problem. (Fixed!) Otherwise, I followed the instructions 100%. New error: The Manta Warrior's face decoration is now unavailable (and still unavailable in LDD 4.1.8). 5982 - Smash 'n' Grab - Theme: Space Police III Bigger Picture LXF File Once again, I followed the instructions to the best of my ability, but there were several issues. First of all, both minifigures have substituted torso prints. Secondly, I couldn't find Squidtron's head in LDD, so I used an ordinary head coupled with a reversed jester hat as a mockup. (Fixed!) The biggest issue by far (which was present even in LDD 1.4!) is that the hook cannot fit into its socket, so I had to use some bricks to slide it into place. (UPDATE - Jan. 5, 2012: Fixed in LDD 4.1.8!) I used a similar technique to get the money inside the ATM. Once again, there are no stickers. 8045 - Mini Telehandler - Theme: TECHNIC Bigger Picture LXF File I only had one major issue with this model: the "Catch W. Cross Hole" (also available in Design byME) was too long. For the sake of appearance, I used a black 9L axle to compensate for that other part's incorrect geometry. (Fixed!) I'd like to thank LEGO once again for their innovative set designs, and providing me with the opportunity to further test LDD's connection capabilities by building their sets. -Toa Of Justice
  19. I made several official sets in this post: Claw Catcher, Seabed Scavenger, Smash 'n' Grab, and Mini Telehandler. Enjoy! -Toa Of Justice
  20. Before I enter, I have a question: If my vignette is similar to someone else's (i.e., based off a similar idea), can I still enter my vignette? I had no knowledge of the other entrants' creations prior to building mine. -Toa Of Justice
  21. Actually, I consider the "transformation" to be a bonus feature--I originally intended my MOC to remain in its main "transport" form. You're right, I should have added a waist. I might redo my MOC sometime with an articulated waist, but with my summer college term coming up very soon, that may have to wait. Aerodynamic, a flat surface is, in my opinion. I'm glad you like the head. That was one of the most difficult parts of my model to design, next to the wing mounts. Thanks for those links. If I ever get around to re-building MotoMan (or a similar MOC), I'll remember those MOCs. -Toa Of Justice
  22. Thank you so much for those pics, grogall! I'm glad that LEGO didn't leave out the "A" in "POLIZIA" after all--it seems to have been on a hidden (by the camera angle) panel the whole time. Also, that is an awesome interior! I am looking forward to the set's release even more now! -Toa Of Justice
  23. I had these ideas for a while now. Thanks for the opportunity to post them, CopMike! My Idea #1: Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Race Car Driver Type of headgear: Modern Helmet Type of facial expression: Smiling/Determined Color on torso/legs: Red and White OR Dark Green and Yellow Accessory: Steering Wheel and/or Checkered Flag (with a black or white Antenna 4H as a flagpole) My Idea #2: Gender: Female Occupation/print on torso: Space Alien Type of headgear: Hair (a ponytail-esque piece, but without any hair on top of the head [the piece would fit into the head stud]) Type of facial expression: Smiling/Friendly Color on torso/legs: Green (I suppose any shade would look good except Lime Green) Accessory: Black Scanner tool with Atlantis-Trans-Green 2x2 radar dish placed over the scanner's antenna (as in this set) -Toa Of Justice
  24. Thank you very much, M_longer! I especially like the brick-built headlights--much better than stickers. That improvement reminds me of the change made from the Ferrari Enzo to the Ferrari FXX. By the way, would you happen to know what that rectangular thing on the roof of the Police Gallardo is supposed to be? EDIT: Never mind--I just figured out that thing seems to be where the top lights are located. -Toa Of Justice EDIT 2: Oh my...did anyone notice the discrepancy on the door of the big picture? It says "POLIZIA" in the real picture, but it says "POLIZI" in M_longer's pic! I hope that gets fixed!
  25. Thank you, LegoGalactus! Actually, I intended the transformation to be primarily the other way around, but I suppose it doesn't matter all that much, since my model can go back and forth between the two modes. -Toa Of Justice
