  1. Evo appears to have been sabotaged! I'd say either Black Phantom or Toxic Reapa are behind these two dastardly bugs (Arachnix drones, maybe?). First of all, the piece on the bottom half of Evo's launcher is modeled incorrectly. Black Phantom probably stole the proper piece while Evo was being refitted! Secondly, using the Hinge tool, try rotating either a chain link or a cuff element while it's in the Hero Cuffs assembly. Rather than rotating, those pieces shrink! Then they return to normal size, but out of position. Download the LXF file here, but watch out for any nearby Arachnix drones! With Evo's launcher and Hero Cuffs out of commission, he can't defend you until they're fixed! -Toa Of Justice
  2. 6200 Evo - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File Error: I couldn't get Evo to hold his Hero Cuffs, so I put them in the clip on his armor. 6202 Rocka - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File Error: The foot on the back wouldn't connect to the back of the torso normally. I scaffolded it nearly into place, but the connector pegs had to be left off. (I included them in the file in case anyone wants to try inserting them.) 6293 Furno - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File Error: I couldn't get the tubes to flex onto both sets of pegs (perhaps they're not the right length?). For the sake of appearance, they are connected to the pegs on the turbine joints, but if you open the file you will notice that they are not connected to the back pegs. 6217 Surge - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File Error: I couldn't color the flexible tube transparent on the outside and blue on the inside, so I settled for a plain transparent tube. 6227 Breez - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File No errors (other than the general one below), yay! And on my favorite 2012 hero, too! On all of the models in this post, the launcher is messed up--please see this. Also, there is no printing on the chest armor or the backs of the Hero Cores. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: All models updated for LDD 4.3.5!
  3. I made a template for the 2012 Hero Factory launcher. LXF File Please note that the bottom element was modeled incorrectly in LDD. There should only be one axle hole, and it should not be so steeply inclined. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: This template has been updated for LDD 4.3.5!
  4. 2233 Fangz - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File The only error seems to be that Fangz's front toes can't be colored Silver Metallic. Also, for some reason the head won't rotate, but it is mounted correctly otherwise. 2232 Raw-Jaw - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File For some reason, I couldn't find Raw-Jaw's printed shell piece. I thought it was available in a previous version of LDD, but I might be wrong about that. -Toa Of Justice
  5. Thanks to the latest LDD update, I was able to complete two of the original Hero Factory heroes. 7167 William Furno - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File 7169 Mark Surge - Theme: Hero Factory LXF File -Toa Of Justice
  6. Thanks for the nice replies, both of you! Witch Doctor also uses that claw hand element on his chest (or is that his neck? I can't tell from the CGI pic). However, he uses an EXO-FORCE robot hand to attach the element to his torso armor, while Azura uses a ball joint to attach it directly to her torso. The System pieces helped immensely with filling up gaps in Azura's armor. I'd like to see similar details in official HF sets. (With the current trend towards using more System elements in HF sets, that may well happen.) That is unfortunate. I would also have to spend quite a bit of money to buy all the necessary pieces. As for the colors, if someone wanted to build my model, perhaps paint could be used. (If the supposed builder owned Thornraxx, that would take care of a few azure elements! ) -Toa Of Justice
  7. Thanks for indexing my MOCs! Here's another one: Azura by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF -Toa Of Justice
  8. I made this LDD MOC from a surge (no pun intended ) of inspiration to combine the colors Bright Blue and Medium Azure in this intricately detailed female fighter. I spent several hours a day for nearly 10 days building her. I proudly present... AZURA Lady Warrior of Blue Azura is a mysterious female warrior from another galaxy who has come to assist Rocka with capturing Black Phantom. But she has her own plans once Black Phantom is captured... Click any image to enlarge it. Here are some detail pictures. Oh, look! Azura has a new toy! Enemies, beware her Laser Saber, which can slice and shoot through almost any material! LXF File LXF File (Posed) LXF File (Older version with excessively bulky [and ugly yet detailed] Titan-style legs) Brickshelf Gallery This may be the last MOC I will post on Eurobricks for quite a while, as I will be busy with a six-week internship away from home. (No, it's not with the LEGO Group, but I wish it was! I'll be working on technology projects for the University of West Florida's Academic Technology Center.) Don't worry though, I plan to come back here with more MOCs. I have some ideas in the pipeline, including an LDD revamp of my Shredder Rod, which I built at LEGOLAND Florida last year. Farewell for now, -Toa Of Justice
  9. Guardian Angel by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF The Schlepper by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF -Toa Of Justice
  10. Hey there! You may have heard some older relatives use the term "schlep." They might complain, "Oy! What a schlep!" whenever they have to lift something heavy for a long distance. Well, now there's a vehicle in LEGO City that can do it for them. Introducing... The Schlepper Click any picture to enlarge it. Lifting a heavy load Front (front and rear focus) Side Back Overhead The Schlepper comes with its own cargo container! Now for some more example loads, starting with a crate. Crane operator: "Rock and load!" Boulderax: "ROAR! Put me down!" Combustix: "Aww, I was just about to enjoy this crystal!" Crane operator: "Eeeny, meeny, miny, mo! I caught a jelly alien by its toe!" Jelly Alien: "What did I do to deserve this?" Snappa: "Ssset me down, pesssky humansss, or I ssshall ssskin you with my sssharp sssword!" Battle droid: "Uh-oh!" Stormtrooper: "In the name of the Empire, let me go!" The Schlepper also lifts national pride. Built in USA! Thanks for looking! Larger LDD picture Brickshelf Gallery -Toa Of Justice
  11. As I was building an MOC in LDD today, I noticed that the hook with towball (30395) finally fits into the hinge socket element (30396)! To celebrate this, I fixed 5982 Smash 'n' Grab with a properly placed tow hook and updated all of the pictures in the post to comply with the rules. I also fixed an incorrectly placed brick in 8190 Claw Catcher and placed the joystick in the minifig's hand in 8059 Seabed Scavenger. The Updated Post -Toa Of Justice
  12. I believe the "Shell A 4M, No. 7" is supposed to be Drilldozer's printed shell element. I say this because all the decorated shell elements on PAB have "No." in them, indicating a decoration number. I hope that helps. -Toa Of Justice
  13. Thanks, both of you! I sort of see the resemblance... ...but it was not my intent to make Super Sport Sensation look like a funny car. Personally, I think my design more resembles a Ferrari FXX (the LEGO version to be precise ). -Toa Of Justice
  14. My latest creation, Super Sport Sensation, is based off one of the Racer sketches from the 8448 instructions. The chassis, seats, dashboard, exhaust pipes, and rear engine cover are all straight from the instructions, with only a few visible modifications. I then tacked on some panels and other decorative elements to finish the model. [specs (approximate)] Length (from front bumper to rear spoiler): 22.0 in (55.9 cm) Width (between side mirrors): 9.5 in (24.1 cm) Height (from wheel bottoms to top of roof): 5.5 in (14.0 cm) Weight: 2.8 pounds (1.1 kg) [Features] (Stock) 4-wheel independent suspension Front steering Rear differential Manual transmission (5 gears + reverse) V8 engine with cooling fan Opening rear engine cover (via a dampened spring) (After-market) Opening scissor doors Removable service jacks (those yellow liftarms in the rear; normally only used when motorizing 8448) Custom headlights and taillights Custom rear spoiler Front and rear bumpers Extra panels (2 large panels up front; 2 small panels on the rear engine cover) Golden gearshift knob (leftover 1x1 round plate and tile from Jay's Storm Fighter) White block in between seats (for style) Decorative exhaust flames [Photos] (Click any photo to enlarge it.) Notice how the headlights are arranged like studs on 2 x 4 bricks? That was my intent. There are 18 red (2 are a little hard to see on the rear spoiler), 4 yellow, and 2 white "lights" back here. The scissor doors swivel on simple friction pins, but the engine cover is connected to a dampened spring. In the above picture, you can see some of the custom panels I built. 15. As I was reading this topic, I looked at the flamethrower on the Fire Vulture standing over my desk and thought, "This might be useful for shadowflame1999." The picture you provided looks a bit like the gun Surge 2.0 carries. Perhaps you could mix and match design aspects from those sets' weapons. I hope that helps. -Toa Of Justice
  16. That's a great rendition of R2-D2, car_mp! I like how you also included the regular R2-D2 dome top. Happy Holidays and New Year to all, -Toa Of Justice
  17. Thanks for the comments, everyone! The original Rattlecopter could land flat without landing gear, but I've never heard of a real helicopter doing that. I agree with you, and I prefer the wheels as well. That's all right, take your time! Perhaps you might even find better ways of implementing my modifications. -Toa Of Justice
  18. Hmm...I see what you mean. Here's a design for landing skids I just came up with. Click any of the following photos to enlarge them. Do you like it? -Toa Of Justice
  19. In my opinion, the Ninjago Rattlecopter (Brickset link) is one of the coolest-looking sets LEGO has ever made. However, there were a few aspects of this model that needed some improvement. Click any of the following photos to enlarge them. Here's an overall picture of all the modifications I made to modifications I made to the Rattlecopter. For starters, the front fangs were loose, due to being mounted on 3/4 frictionless pins. I really wish LEGO made 3/4 friction pins, but since they don't, I just replaced the 3/4 frictionless pins with standard friction pins. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ I was surprised to find out that just like Jay's Storm Fighter (which I didn't modify; Brickset link), the Rattlecopter had no obvious landing gear--it just landed flat on its belly. I fixed this by adding some wheels (I didn't think skids would be appropriate for this model). EDIT: See my next post for landing skids! I'll start with the front. I took the opportunity to add search lights as well. For the underside pictures, I removed the main rotor so it wouldn't get damaged. Here's a semi-exploded view so you can build it too. Moving on to the rear... Here's a cutaway shot, revealing how I installed the mount for the rear landing gear. (I also took the opportunity to add some support underneath the gray handle piece, which kept falling off as I was modifying the Rattlecopter. ) Here's a semi-exploded view so you can build it too. I made the landing gear and surrounding elements available in an LXF file, from which instructions can be generated. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ I can't understand how a helicopter can take off straight upward if its main rotor is permanently tilted forward. While that looked cool on the box, I wanted an option to un-tilt it. Here is my modified main rotor mount and other details. Close-up of my modified main rotor mount. Thanks to my design, the rotor can tilt back and forth between two positions. If I spent much more time on it, I might be able to make it tilt backwards as well. However, my design keeps the rotor well-supported in the upright position, and allowing backwards tilt could compromise that advantage... Here's a semi-exploded view so you can build it too. A top view of the Rattlecopter with my other details clearly visible is to the left. I made my modified main rotor mount and surrounding elements available in an LXF file, from which instructions can be generated. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Finally, here's a brief list of the other details I added to the Rattlecopter: I removed the missile caps and placed them on the black bits holding the missile blocks up (to copy the details surrounding the engine on Jay's Storm Fighter). Since Jay's Storm Fighter came with extra trans-red and trans-green 1x1 round tiles, I added them to the side flaps. To help explain why a Fangpyre tribesman is helping to protect a Constrictai staff, I added the extra translucent printed 1x1 round tiles from both Jay's Storm Fighter and Rattlecopter to my model. (This is to show that the two tribes are allied. I'm not sure whether they are allies in the actual story.) Since I don't have any other spare medium lilac 1x1 round plates or dark green 1x1 cheese slopes, I thought those two extra pieces would look good sitting on top of the dark green 4x6 rounded wedge. Here's the Brickshelf gallery (when public). -Toa Of Justice P.S. I apologize for mixing some old gray parts in with this set, but those were the only colors I could spare.
  20. I'm sorry to spoil your speculations, but in the new video on the Hero Factory home page, Stormer "4.0" seems to have been revealed. Here's the post I made on BZP:
  21. If I remember correctly, I found Eurobricks either through BZPower or a now-defunct LEGO shopping site called the Vault...I'm not exactly sure which. I feel this post I made in my introductory topic best explains my reasons for signing up. Of course, now I'm nearly 23 years old, not 19. I come to Eurobricks almost daily, thanks to frequent postings on the front page. And I love being part of the Eurobricks community! -Toa Of Justice
  22. Thanks! I admit that the Hoverlego looks something like a Ferrari Formula 1 racer (not necessarily my intent--it just turned out that way), and who knows, maybe someday F1 cars will fly... -Toa Of Justice
  23. Thanks, EM4CZ! Your Police versions of the GT-J are awesome!  Would it be possible to share your LXF files? I really want to see those vehicles in 3D, especially the Viper! -Toa Of Justice
  24. I realize it's been nearly a year since I posted this MOC. I bought the Hoverlego from Design byME in early February, but I never got around to photographing it until now. Besides being busy with college work back then, here's why... One day, I discovered that the tail rudder was not on straight. That was because the rear mounting posts were misaligned. I later discovered that there were two variants of the piece I used for the top mounting post (Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Arm Up)--one with an horizontal arm length of 6mm, and another of 5mm. After taking some measurements, I confirmed that LEGO had sent me the 6mm variant, which was out of alignment with the bottom mounting post (Plate, Modified 1 x 4 with Arm Down). I promptly scoured my collection to see whether I had any spare 5mm variants. Unfortunately, the only one I seemed to have was lodged deeply in 5983 SP Undercover Cruiser, and it had to stay there for that model to function properly. Thankfully, I discovered an amazing BrickLink store called NEBUCHANDNEZZA, whose owner differentiated between the two variants. Since that store had many other parts I needed, I placed an order, explaining the need for the 5mm variant. The owner graciously measured the part for me, and it was in fact 5mm. At the owner's request, I have taken real pictures of the Hoverlego. Click any picture (except the front and back views of the model itself) to enlarge it. I made a few changes on the bottom from the original version for extra stability while on display (the two additional clear boat studs help keep the front and rear elevated). Here's the Hoverlego flying... Click here to return to the original post with the LDD version. -Toa Of Justice
  25. Thanks for the tip. I used auto-focus for some photos and manual settings on others. I might try re-taking some of the photos tomorrow. I'm not sure I can get them to send the right one though, especially if the one I received is supposed to be the next version of the one I didn't get. But like I said earlier, I got the right head at LEGOLAND Florida, so I was able to swap heads. Thank you. -Toa Of Justice
