Thanks, KielDaMan! Yes, you (and everyone else) may borrow whatever elements you wish, but it would be nice if you (and everyone else) gave me credit for my original hovercar design. -Toa Of Justice

UPDATE - Dec. 13, 2011: Real pics have been added--see this post. After seeing the Assoluto Pronzione in Ridge Racer 7, I was inspired to build my own racing hovercar, the Hoverlego (pronounced huh-VER-leh-GO). ^Click for Brickshelf gallery.^ Click here to download the LXF file. The Hoverlego features the following: Four spinning, directable fans (each can rotate 360 degrees) Three maneuvering flaps (two side wings and one tail rudder) Opening cockpit Clear elements on the bottom to simulate hovering Female pilot (Veronica) This model was made entirely within Design byME, so it's buyable! -Toa Of Justice P.S. I know the Hoverlego doesn't resemble the Pronzione much, but it's not meant to--it's supposed to be my own design.

I tried building the T11 Jedi Striker in LDD4 today, and I could not finish the model. This model requires two 3x4 wedge plates (48183 or 90194) to be inserted next to the cockpit. However, this is impossible in LDD. LXF File By the way, I used a 2x2 round brick (6143) to align a 4M axle (3705) over the place where the 3x3 disk (2723) needed to go, and slid the disk down the axle into position. It wouldn't attach otherwise. -Toa Of Justice

1100 - Sky Pirates - Theme: Town (^Click for larger picture, suitable for a desktop wallpaper, perhaps?^) LXF File Inaccuracies: Torso and face patterns (I used substitutes instead) 3x4 wedge plates (they shouldn't have stud notches in them, but that's all I could find in LDD at the moment) I used some clever scaffolding to put the suitcase and gems into their proper compartments. -Toa Of Justice

These are incredible! I like them all, but my favorites are the Nar~Enneel CX10 and the Zuri Z3-V8. They remind me of the off-roader from 8214 Ice Rally and 8133 Rally Runner/Rider, respectively. I'm looking forward to more TT MOCs from you, Raphy! -Toa Of Justice

Nice MOC, Baylego! I like how the cockpit is tilted downward, yet the engines remain upright. I also like the swiveling guns. Also, your minifigure is awesome--the blaster rifle is well-built. I wonder about two things though: How does the ship land, and how is the cockpit attached to the engines? -Toa Of Justice P.S. In the rear view of the ship, I noticed that some elements aren't pressed down all the way--any chance you can fix that?
-
This is an awesome MOC! I really like how the cockpit is built (that windscreen fits perfectly!) and the tilting mechanism is ingenious. How well does it balance though? It seems a little front-heavy. -Toa Of Justice

7712 - Supernova - Theme: EXO-FORCE LXF File This model is accurate to the instructions, except: Takeshi's torso print and face weren't available, so I used alternatives. Vladek's sword wasn't available, so I used Tahu's instead. The flex hose isn't the right piece, but hey, it flexes! It was quite hard to fiddle with though. Additionally, I cannot seem to connect it properly again, so its current configuration is approximate. I couldn't find the 2x4 clear light brick, so I mocked one up. As you can see, there are no decals either. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Updated to LDD 4.3.8, Brick Version 1564.2. Besides disconnecting the flex hose from its attachment point on the torso, I also had to angle the black liftarms up 9 degrees (and adjust the windscreen and minifigure) so the medium stone gray 6134 Plate 2x2 (Rocking) in the back could fit into place. EDIT 2: Here is the previous image I used for this post, featuring the staff aligned with the sun in the background.

Anio, your finished MOC is awesome! I think the LEGO Group ought to make future Star Wars sets as good as your MOC! Perhaps you should submit your résumé to them... -Toa Of Justice

Fantastic job, Derfel Cardarn! Your model looks so realistic that it took me a few moments to realize that it's not a real house. -Toa Of Justice

Only 4 flexible pieces!?
Toa_Of_Justice replied to elmerohueso's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I found out something awesome: If multiple flexible pieces are connected to each other, they can all flex at once. Try it for yourself in this LDD file! -Toa Of Justice -
Thanks for the comments, everyone! To celebrate the launch of LDD 4.0, I updated the first post with a brand-new picture. Check it out! -Toa Of Justice

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! Unfortunately, the windscreen doesn't exist in trans-red yet. If it ever shows up in that color, I just might try making a real-world version of the Googol. It was a little tricky at first. I can only imagine how the designer(s) of the Fire Brigade must have felt as they incorporated the "1932" in that set. There's just one spoiler in the rear. The lack of bulk in the front is intended to keep up the sleekness of the overall model. -Toa Of Justice P.S. I just added a new picture to the intro post that shows off the pattern on the top surfaces of the Googol.

Wow, you're fast! Did you drive my new MOC over here? Anyway, thanks for the quick response. Actually, the connecting arms are dark bluish gray. I could change them to a different color and update the LXF file if you'd like that. -Toa Of Justice

Hello racing fans! A googol is 10 multiplied by itself 100 times, or 10^100. I was inspired by the number "1932" in Fire Brigade to build 10^100 in LEGO form one day, then I got the idea to build a race car around it! I now present... The Googol Click on any of the following images to enlarge them. Slick new image courtesy of LDD 4.0 Remember the ruby from the Adventurers (Desert) line? Many years after the ruby was found, scientists discovered that it contained a tremendous amount of energy--enough to power a vehicle for a googol miles (even at a steady speed of 200 mph!)--hence the car's number. (Eat it, gasoline! ) The spoiler and rear tail lights fold out of the way to let the engine cover open all the way. My spoiler design is infinitely adjustable (but LDD's darn hinge controls made these pictures hard to take! ). Here are a few examples: Spoiler in normal position Spoiler flattened Spoiler drawn back and flattened Spoiler drawn back and inclined LXF File - Brickshelf Gallery (when public) (Note: You may need to rename the LXF file with an .lxf extension and save it as "All Files," otherwise it may save as a .zip folder.) I'm not expecting a googol comments, as that would probably overload EB's server! Some comments would be nice though! -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Whoops! I almost forgot to give credit to Superkalle for LEGO Universe mode.

First sneek peak at LDD 4.0
Toa_Of_Justice replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
That sounds awesome. It almost makes me want to go back to high school. Too bad I already graduated in 2007. I'm curious as to which classes at your school will make use of LDD, and how. At my high school, I took three robotics classes, and because each one used LEGO Mindstorms. In my second class, my team got to use MLCAD to design a robotic tank. -Toa Of Justice -
What do you mean? It's online (at least for me). -Toa Of Justice

LEGO Digital Designer + LEGO Universe Mode + old gray + familiarity with pieces and connections + inspiration + time = NCS Gunbird. And of course, don't forget to give credit to Superkalle for unlocking LEGO Universe mode and old gray, as well as LDD Manager. Does that answer your question? -Toa Of Justice

Updated for LDD4 December 29, 2010 5969 - Space Police - Squidman Escape LXF File Issues: I couldn't find Squidman's head and cape, so I replaced them with similar parts. EDIT: I fixed the head, but the proper cape won't fit, so I left the old cape on. The officer's and Squidman's torso prints are close, but not accurate. The speeder's hood can't close all the way because it can't be centered on the white 1 x 2 Plate with Handle. There are no stickers. I tried to make the officer comfortable on his speeder by not bending it. It's bent in the instructions. -Toa Of Justice

Unusual LDD project
Toa_Of_Justice replied to Zerobricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thanks for answering my questions. I'm a little concerned about fire safety with that overhang though. To me, covered radiator plus combustible flowers on top equals a possible fire hazard. Never mind all the electrical cords going through the holes so close to the radiator. I hope I'm wrong about all of those safety issues though! -Toa Of Justice -
Unusual LDD project
Toa_Of_Justice replied to Zerobricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
That is an awesome table, Zblj! I have a few questions about it though: Are the trans-orange bits meant to represent holes for cords? Will the shelf beneath the topmost surface slide out (perhaps for a keyboard)? What is the purpose of the rear overhang? What are you planning to use the table for? -Toa Of Justice
