I tried hard to make the hemisphere and cup combo cooperate, but I couldn't get it to work. Sorry. Perhaps it's a bug in LDD. starwarsfanatic, I'd recommend that you use MLCAD's Minifig Generator--it's much easier than trying to build minifigures by hand. Also, make sure that you have the latest MLCAD.ini file and LDraw parts updates to unlock the full potential of the Minifig Generator. -Toa Of Justice

LDD Reference

Here's something you'll probably find useful--a Zamor Launcher, fully assembled for the first time in LDD! LXF File -Toa Of Justice -

What version of Windows are you running? I might be able to find a fix for that nasty auto-reboot function. -Toa Of Justice -
Unofficial B-model of 8996 Skopio XV-1

I'd be shocked if LEGO didn't accept your application--that is an amazing model! Now if only there were more vehicles in Hero Factory...with you on the team, there probably would be, and they'd fly (and drive and walk ) off the toy store shelves. -Toa Of Justice -
That's a nice MOC, Ro87n! Whenever I want to include one of LDD's backgrounds, I use the "Prt Scrn" key on my keyboard, then go into Microsoft Paint and hit Ctrl+V for paste. That saves the background and the MOC. I trim and resize the image as needed, and then I save it as a .png file (which maintains image quality while reducing file size). Here's an example image I made last year: -Toa Of Justice

LDD 4.1 Released
Toa_Of_Justice replied to Aanchir's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I have 4.1.6 as well. -Toa Of Justice -
I just added a new model to the first post. Could a moderator please edit the topic description to include 5762 as well? Thanks in advance. -Toa Of Justice

Thank you very much! I agree, Design byME is way too expensive. I'm usually satisfied with just building and viewing a model using the software, so I don't need to spend any money that way. Thanks for the suggestion. It looks much better now. I tried using a bunch of cylinders in place of the columns, but it didn't look very nice. How about this instead? LXF File -Toa Of Justice

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! I'm not sure how to make the engine cover, but now I have an idea to make a neat single dorsal fin, which I'll post shortly. You're right about the flames, they're just there for show. I could get rid of them, but I think they add neat details to my craft. As for the missiles, I suppose they're not needed, but if the other weapons were to fail, how else would the pilot defend himself and his allies? Remember, the Turbo VPR is capable of atmospheric and space flight, so the missiles could come in handy on a hostile alien world! ...I'll go work on version 2 now. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: Here we go! LXF File It's also slightly cheaper than version 1!

Thank you. You're right about the single dorsal tail, but I wasn't sure how to work one into my model around the main engine, so I went with two. -Toa Of Justice

UPDATE: Please see the latest version a few posts below. I'm back with another Sci-Fi MOC! I recently read the "Remembering Nate 'nnenn' Nielsen" article in BrickJournal #13, and I was inspired to build my own Vic Viper-style fighter. TURBO VPR Propulsion: 1 main turbo/hyperdrive engine and thruster, plus 2 wing-mounted thrusters Maximum Speed: Mach 4 (atmosphere), Warp 4 (space) Weapons: 2 wing-mounted plasma cannons, 4 laser blasters between the prongs, and 2 wing-mounted missiles Capacity: 1 pilot Other Features: Retractable landing gear, xenon headlights, opening cockpit, and hinged main wings LXF File Brickshelf Gallery (when public) This model was made entirely within LDD's Design byME mode, so it's buyable! It costs over 60 USD though. Thanks for looking! -Toa Of Justice

Thanks, both of you! I have both of the 2011 Creator Mini sets, and if I rebuild them into anything special, I will add them to this topic. I'm quite hesitant to take apart that awesome front-end loader though! -Toa Of Justice

Hello, Eurobricks! I made these alternate models a long time ago, but didn't have a chance to post them until recently. First up is the Dozer, made from 6742 Mini Off Roader (3 pieces left over; no spare elements used).Functions: Tilting front blade, rear ripper, and headlights. LXF File (includes leftover elements) Next is the Turbo Sled, made from 5864 Mini Helicopter (0 pieces left over; all spare elements used). Functions: Spinning rear propeller. LXF File (Air scoop is positioned properly, but will not snap in place due to boundary errors [illegal build, perhaps?].) Finally, here is the Booster Racer, made from 5865 Mini Dumper (3 pieces left over; no spare elements used). Functions: Tilting spoiler and pop-out boosters. Bonus: A mini cargo plane, made from the leftover elements of the Booster Racer. LXF File (includes both the Booster Racer and the cargo plane) NEW! I just built this one while on a road trip--the Sky Cruiser, made from 5762 Mini Plane (0 pieces left over; all spare elements used). Functions: Spinning front and rear propellers. LXF File Brickshelf gallery (containing all the models in this topic; when public) Enjoy! -Toa Of Justice

Awesome work, Laureano! I'm curious about the Power Functions elements though--what are they for? The big tile pieces are available in numerous sets--see here and here. -Toa Of Justice

That's great to know! Now that I think about it, if your next model is going to increase in size like the L45 Starfleet Voyager enlarged the 6929, the landing base would have to be quite huge! -Toa Of Justice
-
indeed! I'm looking forward to that. Please let everyone know when the topic is up for it! Will you re-do the little rovers and landing base as well? -Toa Of Justice

This is an awesome MOC, Giovanne! I really like all the details you put into it. I think it would go well with my NCS Gunbird as an escort fighter. -Toa Of Justice

Thanks for creating this index, KielDaMan! It's nice to see some of my recent work here (the NCS Gunbird, the Delta Star, and the Hoverlego, for instance). I've got a few more older MOCs for the index: The Googol by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF Sea Gull Boat by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF MotoMan Revamped by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF (robot mode) (^The original isn't worth indexing, trust me. ) Rock Monster Ambush by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF Nitro Sprinter by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF MX-2 Rover by Toa_Of_Justice - LXF -Toa Of Justice

This is an amazing MOC, Rook! I am curious about these stats as well--especially weight! -Toa Of Justice

Thanks! The good looks are probably due to the new brick shading and outlining abilities of LDD4--I set mine at maximum for taking screenshots of the Hoverlego. -Toa Of Justice

Thanks, both of you! I'm glad you like my tri-engine design. Thanks for the suggestion about the curved slopes, but what specific pieces do you think I should use, and where should they go? -Toa Of Justice
-
This is a long-range cargo cruiser I started in 2010, but did not finish until 2011. I mainly wanted a spacecraft to make use of my tri-engine idea. ^Click for Brickshelf gallery^ LXF File (Landing Gear Extended) LXF File (Landing Gear Retracted) <-- I made this seperate file because the front struts didn't repsond correctly when I used LDD's hinge tool on them. The Delta Star has the following features: Opening cargo doors Opening interior doors Detachable crew section (escape pod) with moveable front lights Opening access hatch on crew section Radar dish that turns 360 degrees, tilts up and down, and conceals a missile and laser blasters for defending precious cargo Retractable landing gear on both crew and cargo sections This model was made entirely within Design byME, so it's buyable! It's very expensive though... This may be the last model I post here for a while, since my college classes start tomorrow. -Toa Of Justice
