How can you license a lobster? They are a natural creature. Part of the real world. Nobody owns a patent on lobsters. Come on TLG get your act together.

Where should the next People at the ____ take place?
Venunder replied to legoman19892's topic in LEGO Town
I would say Fun at the Theatre. Fun at the Zoo comes next. Fun at the Arena is my third. Insert the sport you prefer. Opera, Rock Concert, Baseball, Ice hockey. Football, Shinty, Rugby, Aussie Rules Football, Polo or American Football. -
What would you like for the next Castle line?
Venunder replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
TLG probably don't want to get involved with actual history, for fear of getting it wrong or fear of offending some history buff. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brick built Giants reminds me of Jack the Giant Slayer film. But rather than another IP, maybe TLG should do a castle theme based on Jack and the Beanstalk which is known to most people, but with no copyright issues, there is no need for a premium price on sets. If TLG want to get away from the Fairy Story, there is plenty of scope for making TLG Giants in a kingdom fighting against the Minifig kingdom. They could easily make up their own stories, cartoons, video games etc. But if they are going to aim it at children they should stick with 10-12 year olds and make the theme a two year event. With an option to extend it for a third year if it sells well. Unfortunately after Nexo Knights TLG will need to give castles a break for at least a year, so maybe they need to do another Classic space type theme first? -
I agree they are slightly oversized for modulars but they still look good in the layout. I also think City sized cars are just too small..

Very good. I would just need a safety chain or rail, to prevent the zombie rampaging out the side of the vehicle and eating the citizens of the town.

MOD: Park Street Townhouse 31065 as a modular row of houses
Venunder replied to finnbricker's topic in LEGO Town
Nicely done. I would probably need 6 of these to make one Modular version. Which does not really add up to good value for a modular. My answer to this would probably be using 4 to build a short street and then use basic bricks and plates to add double the depth of the original set to make the interiors workable.- 15 replies

PR first because it was released first and Brick Bank will probably be available longer. But then get the Brick Bank because it is such a good set.

There is no answer. Cats will get at anything they want. It might be time to adopt the cats to a good home, without Lego? If you are serious about your Lego and can't keep replacing the chewed bricks.......

I'm not a fan of Fire Stations due to one every other year in Lego City. However this would be a good addition to any Winter Town. A great little design. Would a Village have a Fire Station? Maybe..... or maybe this should be a Winter Village Mountain Rescue Station?

A great idea and good to have separate spaces

That is a great looking Tavern. The Mulled wine stall outside seems a bit OTT.

That Cafe Corner x2 double corner looks great. The x2 for the extra floor seems a bit over the top. x6 ? Would have to be brick linked, unless you MOC another couple of buildings with the Ground floor and Roof sections.

It depends on your budget and the space you have for your city along with the era you wish to build. I would go with some of these:- Some Road plates to build up your streets or with more money you'll need lots of Black bricks with white and yellow plates for your road lines to build a snot road system. A couple of Friends Grand Hotels put together for a hotel, with a MOC roof. Same for the Friends Performance School. Several Friends Grocery shops, a couple of Fun in the Park sets. A couple of City Squares for the Trams and some buildings. Any City Policestation and Firestation sets. If you have a river running through your city, join a couple of Web Warrior Bridges together as a crossing. Or go with 2 city Ferry sets. If you are having a Railway through your city wait for the next Passenger Train set unless you can get hold of the current white version for less than £66 each. You'll probably need a couple of the latest Train Stations to make a decent sized City Station. The 2017 City Pizza van and a vew other City vehicle sets. If you have space and money a couple of Simpsons Houses will make a nice richer high class suburb. Several Vacation Getaways would make a lower class suburb. Go with a few PAB cups of vegetation to help buiild up your park areas and/or surrounding landscape, Some Creator or Friends Tree filled sets might help.

Very Bladerunner. With Deckard and the White hair Replicant, Roy Batty, on the roof. Gaff is hiding out on the street corner near the Bar? Rachael is near the police barricade?

I like it. I'm not sure what the vehicle represents but it could be made slightly more vintage. A good little WV set for £35 is just what we need to get back to the feel of the original line. The recent years sets have been too large or overpriced.

Enough said. This could be the 10th anniversary Modular.

Very well realised creation. The Mosaic floors are brilliant.

Nice details.I like the path that ties it all together. The sausage van is always a welcome addition to a skating session. A busy little street is always hard to do. Although I prefer a little more space, I think you did okay.
