I sometimes wonder why people bother posting their really bad ideas. But then I realize it is probably the same thing as shows like Big Brother, or "Anywhere" has Talent? Some people are just desperate to get their name into the spotlight, even for the wrong reason. I think TLG definitely need to put more restrictions on projects. Less is sometimes more. I would start with. 1/ No Star Wars. Because TLG designers are already making those sets. 2/ No Castles. Because TLG designers are already making those sets. 3/ No Sex, Booze, or Rock and Roll. Because TLG just will not produce those kind of sets. 4/ No City buildings. because TLG designers are already making those sets. 5/ No huge 3000+ part MOC's because TLG just will not produce them. Now I would not rule out large MOC's like Rivendell, because they are usually good to look at. They can also be broken down into a series of Smaller sets which TLG could produce. Unfortunately Rivendell would probably be blocked by rule 2. No Castles. However TLG are also unlikely to produce a series of sets from one Ideas project because it would fill too much of their production capacity for one year. So that rules out Themes. 6/ No Themes. TLG simply can't produce extra Themes. The exception to this has been Minecraft. But that is due to the success of the first small Ideas set and the willingness of Mojang to participate with TLG? It has also replaced the Castle Theme production capacity for the last year or two? So what is left for the IDEAS projects. Not a lot really. The site stagnates and nothing new is produced........ or we just get a few new Ideas each month. We can really support them because they are good and TLG get them into production?

There are curved 1 brick wide parts that would fit alongside the lime green element you show there?

I finally understand the Giant Antman in the Airport Battle Set. I'm not sure how I missed that info. Not much of a spoiler..... Do not bother waiting for the scene at the end of the credits. It just shows Peter Parker and Aunt May at home. So yet another Spiderman reboot is in the works.

The main reason that few people have collected them is probably that they are made by Bright Bricks and are not official TLG sets. Although they are made from 100% Lego. They are good sets but only worth the money if you are a Fish fanatic or a collector of Bright Bricks products?

^^ That does look better with the white side facing the "main street". If the ocean is now behind the buildings you may need to modify the back of the bank and the cinema?

Unless you have a street at the back of those Modulars, you seem to have the Grand Hotel the wrong way round? That is a good model either way. :thumbup:

Your children should just enjoy Lego as a toy or focus for their creativity and imagination. Nobody should be judging that. Maybe next year you could have a family picnic instead? Take some Lego for them to play with and then build some things together as a family.

I'll be getting a few copies of this set, to make the 4th corner, and maybe to franchise the whole Deli in a few parts of my city....

Replace the Elves with minifigures and this Inn would fit well in many Medieval or fantasy settings. Nice use of the trees to support one wall and the chimney side.. :thumbup:

Next year. Add side walls a roof and remove the brushes: Hamster Exercise Treadmill ? :thumbup:

English is a very lazy language in some respects. American English can be even more lazy. But I am not going to try to explain why, because I am not a linguist. There are also an increasing number of people who have problems with any kind of reading and writing. Those with dyslexia for example. If the general meaning of a post can be followed, we should not be too critical of other people's spelling and grammar. If advice might be helpful, then there should be nothing wrong with a private message to the person who posted. In this case a private message to JDL 1967 would have been more helpful. So I will offer further advice by PM.

My daughter does not want my lego. However I have told her that it is valuable and she should take time selling it for reasonable prices. If she has children before my death I will bequeath some specific sets to them, if they are interested in lego by then. I have a few other plans, but nothing is set in concrete or Kragle, yet. I will suggest that some of the money from anything sold should be donated to Fairy Bricks.

I agree that the larger modern planes are better for City airports. The older brick built planes are better for the early 20th century and regional aerodromes. I would love to build a proper Airport with modern planes when I eventually build my City.

Just picked up a couple of Sir Fangar's Ice Fortress for £29.99 each from TRU UK. With 2 £10 promo cards for later. :) I'm happy with that.

Brickset is currently the best way to keep track of your lego sets and minifigs. Loose and custom bricks are better listed in other ways.

I would say buy both the Medieval Market Village and the Airjutsu Temple. They are both fantastic sets and both worth having. 7189 Mill Village Raid is also worth having. They are only going to increase in price as they become rarer. Another iconic set to watch out for is 10217 Diagon Alley.

The Pet Shop has been out the longest, Followed by Palace Cinema, then Parisian Restaurant, then Detectives Office. That is probably the order that you should buy them? If you particularly like the colours or build style of one of them and think you might need multiples of it, then you should probably buy your first copy of that one first?

That is a really great tower/chimney. Very close to the original architectural details too. :thumbup:

Do we have a frequency for each model per box?
