Mike S replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My Ideal Christmas Gift is a lot more free time to spend with my family. -
Awesome series! The Lurikeen, the Rage, and the Bloodborne are my favorites.

Great series! My favorites are the Lizardfolk Brute and the Dwarven Berzerker! The Samurai armor was the perfect solution for filling in the gap between the hairpiece and torso....

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
Mike S replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My feelings exactly! On a positive side though, it appears that Lego put a lot more detail in series 12 figs which may have been indirectly helped by the time delay of releasing the Simpsons CMFs. -
There is a reason why Treasure Island uses the new design. It is possible that Soldiers Fort used it for conformity. While I'm not a real fan of the tree as it is, it does provide pieces to give variety to your tree building collection. Also the tree from Soldiers Fort lays a good foundation for modding the leafy section of a palm. So while I do hope they haven't done away with the old palm trunk, I'm not really upset with the new design.

Here is my Collectable Minifig Series for GoH 3rd Anniversary. My sincere apology for some of the digs that I couldn't help but put in here from previous banter that has gone on in Guilds of Historica as well as one or two digs at stereotypical medieval culture. Nocturnus Minifigs Name: Imp Archer Skill: The Imp Archer finds great amusement in surprising his foes. He will appear for a moment shooting a dart and then "poof" he will disappear only to reappear moments later in an unexpected place to repeat the whole shoot and disappear act all over again. Name: Evil Queen Skills: The Evil Queen has one wish: to crush Historica under her feet. It is rumored that she is an illegitimate daughter of Viktor Revolword. Whether or not this is true, she follows in his footsteps seeking magical relics to raise an army that cannot be defeated. Name: Drow Commander Skills: The Drow Commander leads a legion of Drow warriors. Normally his Loyalties would lie with the Drow Matriarch, but with the chaos that now exists within the Drow ranks, who knows where his loyalties lie. Name: Crocman Warrior Skills: The Crocman Warrior is a brute only a handfull have lived to tell of their encounter with his kind. However while he is a formidable opponent on dry land, he still feels most at home in the swamps and will seldom leave them. Mitgardian Minifigs Name: Wolven Warrioress Skills: The Wolven Warrioress makes her home in the far north of Mitgardia where the snow fields last even in summer. She scouts for her pack, silently blending in to the snowy landscape until she spots a worthwhile target. Name: Mitgardian Raider Captain Skills: If you ask him, he will adamantly insist that Mitgardia has the greatest fleets in Historica. To prove Mitgardia's naval power, he constantly seeks fleets from other guilds with which to prove his naval battle skills. Unfortunately he mistakes peaceful merchants as weak and unworthy opponents and confiscates their vessels and goods as payment for their unworthiness in battle. Name: Migardian Nobleman Skills: The Mitgardian Nobleman is wise and knowledgeable. One must be in order to survive to his age in the harsh Mitgardian winters. He knows how to plan so that everyone of his serfs have plenty to eat throughout the winter. Name: Dwarven Canoneer Skills: The Dwarven Canoneer is a mythical character in Mitgardia. There are many tales of how the Dwarven Canoneer has defended Mitgardia from many an invasion. But when all is at peace the Dwarven Canoneer disappears back into the snow covered mountains in the north. Kaliphlin Minifigs Name: Lady Gold Skills: Lady Gold trades the various currencies of the patrons for the standard gold bars of the various establishments in Kaliphlin's notorious Lost Vegas. Name: Kaliphlin Warlord Skills: There is not a leader more familiar with the various terrains, creatures, and cultures of Kaliphlin. Whether he is your host, travel companion, or ally, whatever you do, make sure he does not become your enemy. Name: Kaliphlin Adventurer Skills: Equally at home in the desert as well as on the sea, the Kaliphlin Adventurer does not stay in one place for long. As his name implies, the one thing he does best is find adventure. Name: Desert Warrior Skills: The Desert Warrior knows where every oasis is in the Kaliphlin desert. He supplements his meager existence by guiding rich merchants across desert shortcuts. Avalonian Minifigs Name: Naga Warrior Skills: The Mystic Isles are no more mysterious than the Naga Warrior that makes her home there. Whatever it is she guards, few adventurers will live to see it. Name: Elven Hunter Skills: The Elven Hunter makes his home in the forests of Avalonia. He lives off of the land and hence spends most of his days out and about hunting and gathering food for his clan. Name: Avalonian Maiden Skills: The Avalonian Maiden prefers to be called "fair" maiden. That being said, she spends her days eating low-carb snacks like cherries and daydreaming of heroic manly men unlike the tight wearing, tree hugging ones she is normally surrounded by. Name: Avalonian Lord Skills: Lazy, arrogant, and a drunkard, the Avalonian Lord thinks he is Historica's greatest warrior. He prides himself on his battle scar which he received in his greatest battle in one of the local taverns. Put enough drinks in him, and call him a tight wearing hippy, he can turn into the fiercest warrior in Avalonia.

[MOC] Small hull vessels - custom design
Mike S replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Pirate MOCs
Nice figureheads! The ships themselves aren't bad but I think would look better if their colors matched the sails better. -
Nice! You have some really interesting designs. If you have any of these uploaded to flickr, it would be great to be able to fave!

I have some codes. Also not sure what numbers are to what but if you are interested, pm me. If you do not have enough posts to pm, then browse the forum and comment on some stuff until you can. #18 - I have seven codes here but should have more laying around somewhere. This must be for the battle Goddess. #20 - I have one. #21 - I have one. #24 - I have one. #25 - I have one. #29 - I have one. #31 - I have one. Should have a few more numbers as well but will update this post when/if I find them.

Ha, seems like GoH is the most active forum in EB at times. Thanks! No, I decided to put an end to that project as I have found it hard coordinating and keeping interest in it as my build time has drastically been reduced. This is an experiment showcasing the crew of the Neptune"s Steed. With Bluecoats coming out next year, I had an idea to try and create a picture book story of the adventures of Sir Aiden Coyle who is a Redcoat privateer. But as with all my ideas there is no telling how long it will take me to get anything completed on it. Thanks! I decided to try the entire cliff in SNOT after kabel's tutorial...

Simple yet effective build! I really miss simpler classic type builds like these. Solid with playability. Great posing with the seagulls as well!
-
Very original build. Really what I like to see in a build! Great technique with those droid arms for the roof and nice curved rockwork as well!

Epic Pirate hideout! This gave me some incentive to photograph and post one of my builds that I've had sitting around for some time. Thanks!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

Whether the list is true or not, I think it is ridiculous if Lego cannot make a hobo because it is too controversial. Playmobile has done it. And a lot of train layouts had them when I was a kid. That being said, I'm hoping the list is fake as it doesn't interest me at all. -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Mike S replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Like I've stated before, I think your main reason for wanting to build is wrong. Unless you are doing a commission, (which you are not) you should be building for the three I's- me. myself, and I. When you build, all that matters is that me likes it, myself thinks it is awesome, and I am satisfied with the build. If your only reason for building is to get congratulated by others, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and discouragement. As I am quite an independent spirit, I have thought sometimes about quitting GoH so that I can have more freedom with my builds. However since I've spent so much time with GoH already it seems like a waste to just quit. So I will continue but with less time alotted for it as I also build other creations with total freedom.
