  1. Yes, but it is nicelly spotted. Perhaps we should talk about parts in topic general parts discussion, because we have same thing spread over two topics and getting confused from time to time.
  2. It should be in 42070 together with red differential 4L (if something has not change in last few weeks in LEGO management)
  3. I see finished model in 1:20 scale, but as someone for who Technic is on first place I would like to see 1:10 model with better luck than Toyota in Le Mans this year 1:20 model is not detailed enough (for me, so don't take this as criticism this are just my thoughts)
  4. Erik, it is interesting approach using green for interrier, but don't you think that Tumbler tires are "to fat" for a supercar? Perhaps ones used in silver champion could be better suited for supercar; even classic like GT40?
  5. When speaking about this classic don't forget him https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_de_Funès (model looks nice and you chose correct tires )
  6. I could not agree more. We have nice variety of axle colors for proper contrast e.g when building yellow moc with black chassis it would be great to use yellow axels on black chassis, on other hand mocs of CLAAS prodacts look better in light bluish gray and red colored axles...so I do not see a reason to complain. We had some nice surprises this year like red dog bone or red pin 3L with pin hole and there will be more...
  7. You're wellcome, this cretions deserves respect even if people do not like trucks. As a kid I had two favorite trucks: U.S. trucks Kenworth and Peterbilt on one side and on another Unimog (my father worked in Gaggenau for several years - that is why I currently work on Unimog...). I'll probably look very often on this moc when time will be right to make my interpretation... LEGOish look as you nicely said can only be (partially) avoided with panels but it is not easy to chose real thing which will allowe us to be made as a model withouth holes in bodywork etc... That is why I respect models in this subforum (despite I'm "Technic person")
  8. Chassis is finished and in a few days I'll post them (needs stairs and rear mudguards). Delay in "evolution" is caused because in June here is a cherry time... BTW what is the most common additional equipment on Unimogs?
  9. Despite democracy and the fact that you've made nice build, It is a minimum respect when you name your model after some real life product (in your case car) that you make instantly recognizable model. That is mutual respect no matter you decide to make McLaren or Corvette.
  10. I think we would not have enough parts and when you compare silver champion set panels with todays, older ones are not that smooth, so we would not be able to make such clean lines for car. Nice suggestion anyway
  11. I've ended that hobby due to lack of money for cars that I really find interesting (like old timers)...so anything that spends more that 4 liters of oil per 100km is not for me (despite having 1967Mercedes...) But back on topic, otherwise admins would say to late
  12. @Didumos69, I know what you mean with eyes, I'll go for an eye surgery in several weeks (2 years ago I had retina ablation), so all I can say is to look after your eyes, no-one else except you will look after them. I admire your determination on small scale models When I see your latest steering solution I can say that some new parts can do wonders
  13. Lambo made this one so everything is possible
  14. Because I managed to make CLAAS tires 110mm in diameter represent 710/70R38 tire for one (planned) future model that will fit the Unimog U423 scale, I've decided to make 1:17.5 model. Another reason for "playing" with CLAAS tire dimensions is that most beautiful models here are in (unwritren rules) 1:13 or 1:17.5 scale... Currently I'm rebuilding chassis to fit this scale and to install e-motor to look like fuel tank...When I'll finish chassis I'll make final decision about tires and I'll post images here. (I know there is to many I'll in this post).
  15. Reakly great work, you gave me idea what to do on one of my mocs. Again very nice
  16. If you continue that way, you'll end buildung under microscope . For your creations there should be special subtheme MicroTechnic
  17. I admit, that Gallardo is better suited for LEGO panels (specially rear part is very well done by you), but Countach was model that inspired me the most when I was a kid (now I'm 44) so I have some plans to make Countach, but need to see which tires - probably Unimog tires, and because of some ideas that I have model will be on drawing board when I manage to find additional 500€ for this project - need them for heart of every Lamborghini - V12 engine - that is all I can say at the moment...I did not finish my 67 mustang due to lack of (black) panels...
  18. I know it is not cheap. I was planing to chrome 32004a wheels, but it is to expensive...You can buy 20kg or more LEGO Technic for this amount of pounds. But purple would be very dinamyc and cool at zhe same time...
  19. I know that it is Countach and not just any - it is first ptotoype which had cooling problems, but had great futuristic shape, 14" tires, etc...
  20. Despite that I'm a bit old school when LEGO is about, but I completely agree that it would be nice to have 2.4 GHz remote system. As you meant lets wait and see or to say it is better to be safe than sorry
  21. Just one comment to admins (who are reading our comments) - would it be better to include posts of this topic in this one. From my point of view to recolor model in metallic silver (or as @Jurss correctly pointed out - usage of chromed parts) is more suited to modifications of Porsche 911 GT3 RS model Nevertheless, Idea to have metallic silver Porsche is very cool.
  22. Black rims would be perfect for military truck what set 42070 actually represents, specially Dark Tan in combination with black rims now you have solved the mystery, just remember sets 8479 https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8479-1 8275 https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8275-1 and now 42070
