  1. Wow, defenetly best cabover version of US truck if not the best im scale 1:17,5. Great color sheme
  2. I'll take photos in few days, and put them in your topics if you allow to do that - it is easier to see picture than to talk about it... separated turntable it used at the outer end - it could be seen in my Brickshelf gallery several posts before. Of course there is a gear 24 tooth inside separated turntable which perfectly fits inside "ring gear" on black turntable part...
  3. But first Congratulation on becoming new member of Eurobricks Knights
  4. This is very promising idea. Do yo know that you can separate turntables to achieve more narrow construction?
  5. You are defenetly right, this way it uses ordinary beams and ordinary gear rack which is cheaper and not like new telehandler with arocs gear rack + gear rack housing
  6. 42070 has no locking differential it is used as ordinary central differential, but as was mentioned allready it has 'locking' potential
  7. I know the feeling - something like this or even this
  8. The most reasonable explanation would be that red colored differential uses (partly) mold for new red clutch gear, so it should have "lock" possibilities with new 3l driving ring combination
  9. Consider that black 3L pins were introduced in "studded" Technic era and black 2L pins from that time are strong; just try to connect liftarms with them - construction with older 2l pins is much stronger (I have some from 8880 set used on moc Unimog to make front part less wobble)
  10. That is the most logical explanation. Just imagine how unfinished look would CLAAS Xerion have without this part, so some number of parts in mandatory. Remember that Technic represent both functionality and look of real thing.
  11. I had similar "CV" but instead of Kawasaki I've ended with Mercedes and Å koda (hard to accept that Å koda is more reliable ). BMX is in safe place... When we talked about LEGO I've learned one rule - do not judge a book on it's covers. Despite fact that i favorize 42069 we should concern that new powerfunctions generation is here, new color (we always complain that only black, yellow and red are in sets...). I've personaly waited decades for propper tractor tires, so each year brings something interesting, nothing in life is perfect and perfectionismus is also in the eye of beholder
  12. @Foxw wether we like it or not you got (at least one) point LEGO is addiction, but lucky for us creators of new world order decided that this addiction is legal
  13. Wellcome to Eurobricks. 851 was also my first set. About 42070 wh should wait for first reviews to be more certain.
  14. This car is starting to take proper shape. Despite I'm not a fan of such limos it looks really good
  15. You're right about everything... light airplanes have aircooled angines and boxer or star configuration is best option for that purpose. Another usefull thing is that boxer engines need smallest ammount of cylinders to be fully balanced, so they do not need special contra-rotating shafts
  16. Couls be, but thereis a V8 inside. BTW did anyone pay atention to fact that this is a year of boxer (actualy flat) engines - 42057 b model has flat 2 cylinder engine, - 42063 BMW bike has flat 2 cylinder engine - Aniversary chassis has flat 4 cylinder engine - 42068 fire truck has 4 cylinder flat engine -42070 b model has 4 cylinder flat engine...
  17. This is actually because torque tubes were first used on Unimogs, and offroaders have susprnsion like 42069 (of course modern trucks ; even Unimog Implement Carrier but not Unimog offroader U4023-5023 who has torque tubes, JCB Fastrac tractors has suspension like 42069...)
  18. They both are nice...btw about 30 years ago Porsche (and Lamborghini) made speedboat engine; a real monsters with few thousand hp
  19. Model that you posted above has a bit smoother lines than yours. But your's can be Porsche catamaran.
  20. Wow it is huge beast
  21. Small catamaran is trully a flagship in your collection
  22. Nice find, I assume behind doors? (doors have 11 x 3 curved)
