  1. For my contest entry, I wanted to make a small, yet feature packed little ship. Made in LDD and rendered in Bricklink Studio, It was based on 7416 Adventurer's set Emperor's ship, but I've remade it to be less of a Chinese Junk, and more of a Golden Age of Piracy Gunboat. I've added a bowsprit, cannon, steering wheel and a Poopdeck, and replaced cloth Junk sail with brick built Jib and Gaff Rigged sails (Ideally I'd use cloth sails, but I don't know how to do that in Studio). I'm very proud how it turned out, and I'm sure it would be a fine addition to Admiral Woodhouse's Navy. It's a very versatile vessel, perfect for patroling the shore, escorting and interception, and it's manned by a crew of three: Two Marines and One Captain. This is how it looks like from Starboard and Port. Even though the cabin under the poopdeck doesn't have much space, it's enough to keep charts and delicate navigation instruments away from the Elements. There's also a nice little hold for confiscated pirate contraband and treasure, though, to gain access to it, you have to remove the cannon. I guess that's what the huge crane at the Eldorado Fortress is for. Obviously it's the first cathegory entry, and I mainly tried to emulate the 2009 era, as it's evident by the Minifig Prints, and rather modern parts. EDIT: After hearing your suggestions, Here's the improved model: The Sails are now tan and with much less visible studs. New cannon! it's still not perfect, but it's much smaller, and has a built in stud shooter. And yes, you can open the hold with cannon still attached: Other changes: -Added Figurehead -Reduced number of golden decorations. Now it should be more aesthetically coherent. -Tweaked the stern a little bit. Added colours flag, and an additional lantern. - Made the hold trapdoor open the other way, this should make it more accessible.
  2. What about mixing parts that were avaible back in 1989, and 2009/2015?
  3. These are all good arguments, and I don't intend to question the rules of the contest, but if you could humour me, there really is no advantage in it. You only get to post it earlier, but still within the allocated time limit. There is no guarranty that a build made before the start of the contest, but posted along other entries, would collect more votes than a model made after. Besides, You could never tell if the build was made before June 28, if you have never seen it. It's like the classic Koan, if the tree fell down in the forest, but no one heard it fall, did it really fell? What I mean is, there's no difference if I build my entry after 28th of June, and building it before, and still publishing it after 28th. I still want to publish it when all other entries are, not earlier. This is why I propose, for clarity sake, to change the rule in question to: Can I enter creations I've already built? Yes, but one you have never shown to anyone, published in any way, etc. You also have to post it, like everyone else, AFTER June 28th. Or: No, even if it was never shown to anybody or published. Even if you post it after June 28th, such entry will be disqualified. Whichever you prefer. Tho in my humble opinion, there could be no way to discern, which entry was made when, if they were entered in the same window of time. Alternatively, if you really think it's unfair, you could set a handicap for those who intend to post their earlier creation, like, they have to post their entries, not like anyone else, after 28th of June, but like a week or two later.
  4. Question: If hypothetically I built something that would fit the criteria of an contest entry earlier, but never published it, or showed it to anyone, would such build be accepted as an entry?
  5. Yeah, this club is too grand, dazzling and conspicious to be a Speakeasy anyway.

  7. Another minifig idea: Ships cook. We already got one in Brick Bounty, but alternative design would be nice. He could even have a pegleg as a nod to Long John Silver, and since in real life sailors who lost their limbs were often made cooks. Or actually, an amputated leg and arm mould would generally be nice. TLG did the arm variant for minidolls in newest friends sets, so why not minifigs? And speaking of amputations, why not a ship's medic minifig with bonesaw accessory?
  8. Of course two of the pictures are of the most famous Gentleman Pirate, Stede Bonnet. :)
  9. Oh, I have an Idea, A Dandy/Gentleman Pirate, dressed in the height of 17-18th century fashion, complete with S7 Judge's powdered wig, maybe combined with a hat. Accessories would be a walking cane, and a rapier or pistol. Something like these:
  10. So, Cat in a Laundromat, And shepherd in uuuh, can't fgure it out.
  11. Skunk on a Bunk, Goat in a Boat, Pup near a Pump (?), Crab in a Lab, Tabby on top of Laundry (?), Chimpanzee on a christmas tree, hare on a chair, parrots on top of carrots, dinos on a seesaw, Bunny on the money, snake on a cake, gator on refrigerator, macaque on a track, mouse in a house, frog on a log, shark in a park, owl on a towel and rat on the mat. How many did I get correctly?
  12. Absolutely. I hope there's a back printing on the dress, showing Watteau pleats of Robe a'la francaise.
  13. And Robert's fig has a better looking (and more historically accurate) wig, while TLG version has a more realistic dress print (court dresses at the time were open at the front with visible stomacher and petticoat), though a chihuahua as an accessory is questionable, small dogs were popular house pet at the time, but chihuahua, in 18th century France? A poodle would be better choice.
  14. Which Marie Antoinette is better, Robert's or official Lego?
  15. Bottom in yellow, depicting mostly bare ankles and feet in caligae (sandals) in reddish brown, and pearl grey greaves. Accessory: Gladius in pearl gold, NEW Pilum style javelin, Scutum shield in red, with pearl gold blazons. Baroque Dandy Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Light royal blue Justeaucorps (form-fitting coat) with Vibrant Coral Gilet (long waistcoat) and white frilly cravat, both coat and vest intricately decorated with pearl gold embroidery. Type of headgear: NEW full bottomed powdered wig (the type S7 Judge is wearing) combined with cocked hat. Hat in black with pearl gold embroidery print, wig in white. Color on torso/legs: Dual molded, top light royal blue, continuing the justeaucorps and gilet print, along with royal blue knee breeches. bottom in white, depicting stockings and black bucled shoes as worn in the era. Alternatively, the bottom in tan, depicting horse riding boots with flared top. Accessory: NEW Cane sword accessory: a slender blade with cane handle cast in pearl grey, that sheaths into a hollowed out lightsaber blade.
  16. I can do you one better, I compiled the parts in a .lfxml file, it's all colour coded too, so you'll know which part should go to which: https://www.mediafire.com/file/85yo1y8x83es2zx/bugs.lxfml/file
  17. Also, two minifig head prints are missing. Specifically the Knights of Ren ones. There are also some bugs carried over from previous versions, The TBLM Red Hood/Mr. Freeze armor piece can't attach to the dome piece (you know, the one piece it was supposed to connect with), and Axel's Body is somehow clipping with most of the helmets it should be compatible with, y'know, like nexo knight helmet. There are also some Star Wars helmets that should be multicolored (like the ones with what supposed to be a transparent visor, like Sequel Trilogy's X-wing pilot's helmet). But these can wait for the next update. Keep up the good job!
  18. I tried to upload a picture, but it's too big. Generally, the right leg has prints for both left and right legs, and they are doubled. What's weird tho, it only concerns bad batch decals, knights of ren prints are working correctly. As of the SC canopy, I see the problem has been resolved.
  19. OK, so, for some reason, LDD crashes to desktop when I open, and try to browse the canopies cathegory... Just shuts down. I'll try with others as well, also, there are duplicates of leg prints. Also Roof tile 1x1x2/3 has missing mesh. And Mario's displays can't be decorated. Other than that, no bugs encountered.
  20. So, today's the day, and still no update. I'm not hurrying you guys, just a little bit worried here, but still patient. Take all the time you need to polish everything.
  21. 11 days, synchronize your watches ladies and gentlemen!
  22. Those look weirdly similar to Guars from Elder Scrolls games...
  23. Ninjago city also has a lot of that Cyberpunk vibe.
