  1. Awwww bummer this copyright just can't handle LEGO! I have a backup plan! I will upload more videos without the music.
  2. Thank you! The air brakes have their own gearing up mechanism with 6:1 ratio. If I would've connected them directly... well then video would've been around 9 minutes . The front landing gear is jerky because there was an old turntable that squeaked from time to time. (Some say the evil HÄMSTER spirit is trapped in there)
  3. It depends on the situation as far as I know. In 4th and above generations nozzles and surfaces are controlled by computers. They can move in opposite/same, half opposite directions or any combinations of those to achieve unbelievable performance. It could be done by 1 transistor the size of few microns. Lego parts have some limitations in this field. The effect could be achieved by the combination of servos/differentials, springs. But they are just too big. I saw Yf 22 lifting off and landing with this configuration. Like here Or here
  4. This MOC uses 3 M-motors and 1 L-motor. They are connected to 2 IR receivers. 1 Battery box. 7 motorized functions: 1 Landing Gear 2 Canopy 3 Radar 4 Air Brakes 5 Roll 6 Pitch 7 Yaw 8 Combination of those also provide motorized thrust vectoring. 9 The slats are also moving with canards to provide more lifting power. Additional manual functions: 1 Pilot indicators 2 Gearbox 3 Joystick, pedals, ejection loop Lights: 1 Engine 2 Canopy indicators 100 studs long, 3,2 kg. Lots of white. 1 M-motor per control surface -1 for pitch, 1 for roll, 1 for yaw. 2 of them (pitch and yaw) are connected directly to X and Y axis of thrust vectoring nozzle, and then first motor is redirected to canards/slats and second is redirected to the rudder. 3rd M-motor is only connected to ailerons. L-motor is connected to the gearbox and drives landing gear/radar/canopy/air brakes.
  5. Thank you for kind words! I have some more pictures and videos of it. I can answer any questions if anyone is interested
  6. This is my secret project entry - SAAB Jas 39 X (experimental) with some awesome features! Like hamster scale! For real hamster pilots.
  7. I think I just heard some squeaking behind me!
  8. P.S. you may use white 24 tooth clutch gear to avoid cracking.
  9. Wow, I couldn't even imagine that it could be that important. Most of the times I struggle just to get the parts. You guys are picky
  10. Oh bugger, someone stole the roof!
  11. Looks very good. Just like the real thing. Besides it's not ugly, it is like a platypus - a wonderbeast from both worlds.
  12. I don't really see any competitor in my project's class, there is maybe one, but more likely it is in it's own class. Stay tuned! I almost got the scales.
  13. While the off-roader looks good and could be an awesome MOC, you just can't deny the fact that OP insisted himself that this is a MOD. I don't think simple rename would work. OP mentioned that this is "MOD" not only in the name, but in tags, and several times in the description also. It's difficult to count this as a simple mistake. Anyway we need moderates in this thread so the final decision could be made.
  14. No, the music is there! When you click that thing, youtube is notified that you didn't use someone's music for your benefit so it's ok from copyright perspective. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZb_lcLa1og
  15. The tricky part is that the OP called it 42029 MOD himself. If he did this by a mistake (which is possible) then to the entry topic it goes! But if not, well it's very sad.
  16. That reminds of this one
  17. It is blocked like in 90% of countries. Maybe uploader must click some little notification that suggests something like "not my music, I don't own rights, so back off you evil copyright labels!"
  18. Tassadar would be proud of your color scheme! Looks damn good so far
