  1. People asked for small motor for years
  2. Build from scratch. Recycling is more difficult if the space is limited. 2 motors in enzo were used to avoid "idle" I believe.
  3. Quick question - if each motor controls a separate axis of motion does this count as separate function? For example motion on the X axis and motion on the Y axis? Or another example. In 8043 2 motors controlled movement and steering. Each motor operated on the same axis forward or backward. However the combination of different positions gave you forward movement, backward movement, clockwise or counter clockwise rotation. If there is a gearbox can it be switched manually? So I can have 4 + 4 functions in total? operated by 4 motors?
  4. Why there are so few good plane mocs?
  5. Currently that's against the rules. I have nothing against buying small sets, they just never interested me. The problem that I see here is that people in my condition must pay to get in while others don't. Which is wrong.
  6. I'm looking at my technic collection and there is no set below 800 parts. So basically 5000$+ of lego is worthless since I cannot participate. Why this restriction is necessary? It's very unfriendly. You either must buy a new set or cannot participate.
  7. Hello everyone, this is not (yet) a selling topic, that's why it is posted here and not in the specific hub. Currently I'm tearing between... aww duck it. It's complicated. I need your advice fellow lego builders. I have somewhat like a technic collection but I don't know how to set a price for it since it has some used parts, some applied stickers, some new untouched stickers, instructions, all boxed (mostly in acceptable condition) and lots of new parts that I ordered from the bricklink but never used. The core of this set is 8436, 8258 (stickers applied), 8043, 8070, 8110(stickers applied), 9398. All this sets are complete with all extra parts. And a ton of bricklink parts (motors, pneumatics, power functions, lights, panels, wheels, liftarms, pins, etc) I'm trying to compile bricklink stuff since it purged most of the orders. How much could all this stuff worth if I sell it as one lot?
  8. Well this is where the problem starts. You try to reach as many people as possible. But some (or most) of them may not be interested in this at all. It's like advertising that you do not want. You see it on 1 channel and you don't care, but when you start to see it on every channel at the same time - you start to hate the advertising, it's creator, the company, the good's etc. That's exactly why people consider copy/paste as spam. If they (people) are not interested in the content then placing the content in "their place" will make them angry. Some of them may think '"you have a LEGO forum for that, why did you also copied this on facebook?" If person is interested in your content, then the person will seek it. If not - you will just annoy them with your actions. No wonder some of them may be angry. Consider having all of your content only in 1 place.
  9. I found it kinda funny how some people see internet as if it consisted of real and adequate people. Paul B are you new to the internet? Also - multiple copies of the same content make it less valuable and people see it as spam. And NOBODY likes spam.
  10. IDE or floppy cables work great Thank me later
  11. Wow, nobody likes planes =(
  12. Thanks captain obvious . That doesn't answer the question though. It looks more like constant promotion .
  13. Why do you need 3 separate topics for this MOC? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92550&hl=mustang&st=75 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97789 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98746
  14. Bad idea, since some people MUST buy a set to join the contest which is not nice.
  15. 4 In a configuration , like this
  16. That's brilliant! How does the blue walker lifts it's legs? I can't figure it out by pictures.
  17. There are a lot of tips on how to build a transmission, suspension, gearbox, car, steering etc. I'm investigating basic and advanced tips on building walkers. Like: how to move legs, what torque is better for such mechanism, what motors are better suitable for this task and etc. There is most likely one problem I'm most interested in - weight. How to make a heavy walker. If I split this problem in separate categories there will be : 1.weight 2.torque 3.motor damage. In order to "walk" the walker must have half of it's legs on the ground and be able to lift whole weight of chassis, motors, battery and other parts, while moving forward leg/legs that are suspended in the air. Is there any strong enough build that will lift 0,5/1/2/ kg from the ground?
  18. I agree. IT'S AWFUL idea to make one "big" picture. What was the point of having 1024 pix promotional picture if it would be resized to something so tiny that it could be hard to identify the entry, not mentioning that one does not even see the details and and functions. I'm not even talking about how this might affect voting. Compare these pictures: Promotional image: You can see all the details, functions etc. Voting image: Can't see anything. Why on Earth would someone who votes bother to go in 3 different topics (contest topic, entry topic, voting topic) to collect all the info about the entry? Nobody does that. People just go to voting page, look at the image and decide how to vote according to what they see there. Very very poor decision.
