  1. Looks great! Communism on tracks! I like RED
  2. How much time did it take to design and built it?
  3. Oh, I see how it works now. The whole "tower" is spinning around the turn table. Was that made to increase stability and to lower the stress on the turn table?
  4. I always was curious about TLG designers. Do they experience "wonder" feeling when they see a MOC. Like "Oh wow, how does this work, how did he made this stuff to move in that manner, what powers this ,or how did he connected those 2 in that amount of space?" Or all our MOCs are "boring" to them. Like "I saw this 10000 times, and this one isn't even in the first half." Everybody talks about how good those mythical divine designers are, I don't believe most of the mocs don't reach their standards. Maybe some of standards, but I'm pretty sure there are mocs that meet them, and even some that beat them.
  5. AWESOME! Now I must get both of them!
  6. Looks good, very good, just like the thing in the game. Almost.
  7. Seems like Blackbird placed main turntable upside down
  8. 9 motors will drain 2 battery boxes VERY fast. So in terms of playability it is not the best decision. If I understand correct from the render some of the double motors are used in a symmetric way to gain double torque/speed on the same function. I would rather prefer using gearing and some asymmetry in the design than an extra motor.
  9. I wonder if it was possible to use less motors
  10. The red protection ram is disconnected on one of the sides, somewhere at the bottom, which gives a little twisted view to the whole thing. You can see it in the last picture. Have you tried other wheels/tires? Like the ones from an orange buggy?
  11. New mold costs about half million euro yes 500000 EURO.
  12. MOC presumes that it is MY OWN CREATION. Not MY OWN MODIFICATION. So it's intellectual property. If the country has a law to protect it - then it belongs to you.
  13. Calculate how much money from each sold 200$ model goes into designers salary. It's far less than a cent. That's how economy works. So if the model B costs far less than a cent, I'd rather keep model B than the cost difference.
  14. If you are talking in juridical terms then it's a has very vast field of explanations that has to be done before arguing. But first of all - it's intellectual property. Something that was made by a brain, belongs to the owner of the brain. You can patent this property or prove that you was the first one that came up with the idea/shape/solution
  15. You should adjust your camera setting since white parts of your MOC merge with the background in a really bad way
  16. Always reminds me a fish with this air intake and big round headlights. Like a carp going yum yum yum yum yum
  17. Well B model costs far less than 10%. You are paying for plastic+advertising+shipping. B - model costs maybe less than 0,01%. It's less than a calculation error percent. You are getting B model almost for nothing! I would keep it rather than the money
  18. TLG makes B sets to keep people that are not that good at building mocs interested in the model. A person who hasn't a lot of experience with technic sets sees a pile of gears and stuff and doesn't know what to do with them. He probably has the idea what he wants to do, but can't make it happen so he is basically stuck with self exploration (which maybe very boring) and 1 model. Some people will decide at this point that LEGO is too complicated for only 1 model. So they go and buy other "dumber" toy next time. However if there is model B such person can build it and enjoy having a "variety". I like B models, because I admire amount of work put in every LEGO set. But I don't like what I call "lazy B models" - the models where 90% stays intact, few panels get rearranged and viola truck into jeep, or unimog into unimog.
  19. More than 4 month? What took you so long? I mean technically, excluding work, irrelevant non lego stuff, parts shipping etc. Was that the shifting?
  20. If you ask couple of women about lets say a car: "Which car do you want?" - "I want a blue (champagne, emerald or whatever) one!" The color plays one of the major roles in the "features" list
  21. I will weight it just for you But I need to get scales first. Besides big or small is a matter of perspective. It's very subjective term. For example new 42042 is big, bigger than 8043 but smaller than Arocs. Smaller in part count, size and scale. So is it big or small? A matter of perspective.
  22. Well I can't show more progress, but I can describe some of it. I completely redesigned and rebuild rear chassis and sides. It has far more realistic look now. Besides new control panel looks just like the real thing with all those indicators and stuff. I'm a bit worried cause my package with missing parts is probably lost. It should've arrived by now. Several times. So I may be kicked out of this competition if the postal miracle won't happen soon.
  23. LEGO mäkes YUÖ into Stronk! Jöin LEGO tödäy ör regrettings förever!
