MOC: Track, Ramp and Shelf Maintenance Train - extended version
spzero replied to Haddock51's topic in LEGO Train Tech
that's cool would be great to use it to clear snow from a track after it has snowed, in scalextric they use flour as snow as it acts in a scale manner when the cars slide thru it, but it might be too heavy to vac up with that, you will have to try it then use it to clear all the snow, -

yes loads of people sell MOC's and custom items on ebay as for copyright one or two companies might kick off but 99% wouldn't and I would imagine copyright is not a factor as you are not copying anything, just as you can photograph or paint a branded item or scene with shops and logo's in and don't have to pay royalties, but I think you will be OK, The playstation game "London racer" used loads of real life logo's on buildings without paying any fee's as they photographed the buildings with the sign age / logo's of stores and pasted them over a 3D frame, saved them millions and loads of hassle. its a great loop hole

true to a degree, what else can they build, there are only so many structures vehicles and only so many ways of building them out of lego and why complicate the building technique just so its different, or why multiply the brick count to increase the price, and after all its a kids toy's and kids are ment to grow up and stop playing with toys, so they will not have sets repeated on them LOL

well if you part out a new EN on bricklink at average past 6 months prices its worth £150.00 about the same as a set, maybe a bit cheeper, factor in postage multiple orders, etc etc and its probably not worth it used is about £112.00 so again not much cheeper, if you can get all the parts in a few orders it might be worth a try,

Painting a Kingdoms Helmet
spzero replied to RoyalBrickCustoms's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
very carefully with a paint brush and gold paint, to be honest it might be worthwhile having paint that will come off as I have had a lot of parts in lots that are ruined by marker / paint so maybe something water based. -

What DC/Marvel Hero/Villain Do You Most Want To See Made In LEGO?
spzero replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in LEGO Licensed
they already did they was one in the xmas charity thing, a while back it was a comic con exclusive, if i remember correctly -
Bricklink sellers would be quite happy to sell bricks that were yellowed and grubby I know I have loads that go to waste, well there in a big box I cant bring my self to throw them outbeing LEGO but I dont think I can sell the really bad one's to be honest. The train looks great that boiler looks so odd its cool almost steam punkish, but a realistic steam punk,

You will regret selling it, one day you may have your own children and what a great hobby, I regret getting rid of my LEGO and infact I have a couple of hobbies LEGO and Radio controlled cars I cant stay away and have invested thousands and often have to sell on at a loss and buy it all back again, when the prices go up. I have done that a few times with Radio controleld cars but Ive always been able to make money out of them too, I have an eye for a bargain. With lego it can be an investment but with RC's unless its sealed in a box for years its money down the drain but its tremendous fun> So the moral is dont sell but its an investment if your terribly skint one day maybe sell some things to get you thru, but just work hard when you can and invest in Gold. lol

Well I think a prize is always good, Ok if we can get this thing off the ground and on the front page My bricklink store will sponser the event with a prize of, a 8884, a 8882, a 8879, a 88000 Plus shipping worldwide to the best entry. unless you just want to play for fun. and it will be a prize that appeals to all the technic guys too
-
we need prizes I did try and give away an H.E. but it never happened due to mods not responding, shame really for the train guys, if we can get someone to agree I think maybe a lil train or small set could be in the offering, but no enlighten stuff lol
-
we could have a Springfield powerplant as a new architecture set that would be easy and instantly recognisable Also everyone wants a monorail now, and look at the new modular theatre (the posters featuring a monorail) i think LEGO are onto something

not gunna happen, tho i wish it would even if it did too many speculators would buy 100's. it would sell out in hours and the market would be subsequently flooded making it less valuable than when it was 1st sold.
