great MOC and nice to see it front paged, you dont need loads of bricks to make something amazing, such great usage of parts and style.

Are you a member of a LUG? NO I'm not, Would like to see what it's like dont think there's too many around here. I have lots of interaction with kfol's, tfol's and afol's as sell at markets fairs and online and have many repeat customers Are you actively participating in your LUG? See above Would you consider supporting more actively the online AFOL community (e.g. Eurobricks) as moderator, regulator (indexing, ...), making set reviews, etc.? Yes would love to review a few sets, (who wouldn't) dont know If I have the skills, and there are more deserving ones with more knowledge and online participation would happily help if I could be useful

Kendrick's Journey Pt. 1 (built by my little bro)
spzero replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's great how old is your little Brother? only thing I would change would probably be some tiles on the path way to add variations of texture, really nice well done and variation of coulor in the water as it looks very flat, and still, maybe some darker colours underneath to denote the mud flapped about by the fish he just caught. -

Pleygo: Netflix styled Lego Rental?
spzero replied to Legononymous's topic in General LEGO Discussion
yeah rent a set return it all chewed up and the best pieces missing, I wonder how they control the loss damage of parts / figures seams very risky and your likely to get a huge bill for the missing pieces your child lost, kept at over inflated prices, A dvd is easy to clean up and not likely to get lost, especially digital versions this would be fun having to check every piece of each set returned. -
Dosent look to be anything about this anywhere, I did do a search thought it would be of interest to many members either out of curiosity or love hate, Many Years ago Scalextrtic produced some LEGO compatible car prototypes however due to licencing / copyright these never saw the light of day. However things have changed and with everyone jumping on the bandwagon they have done it again, CLICK HERE These would be great to motorise some vehicles (especially with a routed track around your lego city) for shows etc, With any luck they will make some micro-scalextric sized cars like this too, Thought oppinions

Don't throw away your old warped Cellulose Acetate LEGO!
spzero replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I come across a lot of the old CA lego in my bricklinking but most is badly discoloured and not fit for resale, especially white bricks, that end up looking tan from nicotine / sun dirt etc. But its great to hold and feel and its sooooo shiny
