  1. I don't think I got one but I'm too lazy to look through my spam folders just for closed beta. I'd rather wait till open beta, which supposedly should be out this month sometime. I did design a wiki for it on Brickimedia though.
  2. 49.99 USD I believe.
  3. I said: "Or you can wait until the English episode comes out."
  4. Oder Sie können warten bis die englische Folge kommt (but please, let's speak English in the topic so most of everyone will be able to understand us )
  5. Obligatory post to make me feel new again
  6. Wow, that's amazing. Looks extremely realistic and accurate to the real thing. Do you have any intentions to put it on LEGO CUUSOO/Ideas? I'd definitely support it!
  7. To my knowledge, it's a thin, tightly-woven cloth. I don't know if they've changed the material or anything. You could probably find a similar material at a fabric or craft store.
  8. Because the city was destroyed completely when the stone army/the overlord took over and were later defeated. The tomb door surely cracked in the process. It just wasn't rebuilt like everything else on-ground of course.
  9. I'm expecting Doctor Who to pass review. I'd also like to see the birds pass review as well, since if I recall correctly, that was the first project I ever supported on CUUSOO. The only problem I see in it is that it isn't the typical LEGO set featuring a vehicle or building, like 99% of other LEGO sets end up being, since the birds are basically display-only. I don't think The Big Bang Theory will pass review, whether it be because of licensing or that it doesn't fit the LEGO brand. BTTF train may or may not make it, but personally I think one BTTF set was enough. I hope the Modular Apple Store doesn't make it. I don't like Apple as a company, and since the Android robot was rejected, I'd be upset if they approved Apple over that.
  10. While the pirates didn't have too much of a significant role, they got a fair share of screen time. The episode was good overall, however.

  12. But then again, most other crowdsourcing platforms such as Kickstarter have the same restriction on editing the initial submission, and require you post updates instead, just like LEGO Ideas.
  13. All the projects that have been made into sets, and near all that have reached 10k supports, reached the mark in under 365 days, so I don't think its too bad. Sure, its less than the previous deadline of infinity, but I think its enough for the good projects to make it.
  14. Thanks for that clip! I hadn't seen that one yet. I'll hopefully be able to get time to watch it on Sunday, assuming my family doesn't have anything else they want to watch on TV at the time.
  15. The new site looks great. A lot of things have been improved on since I tested it early on. Here's to a new era of LEGO crowdsourcing! Mine came instantly. You sure you're checking the right email account?
  16. High res logo for those interested: http://meta.brickimedia.org/wiki/File:LEGO_Ideas_logo.svg
  17. For future reference, in the future you should use an image hosting service that makes the image the prominent part of the page such as imgur, or just deep link the image.
  18. That would be great. I'm shocked they didn't include it any sets actually; it doesn't even require and new moulds. http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=93437
  19. Accounts like that get disabled since they're in violation the site's terms of use. Sometimes they don't get caught, but often times they do especially if they follow the same activity patterns and were created at similar times. And if a project is doing so poorly that it needs fake accounts to get its support count up, chances are it wouldn't pass LEGO review. From how it looked when I tested it little over a month ago, the way projects were showcased on the front page seemed like it would better-display good, original projects (as well as IP projects). It may have changed since I tested it, but since this is a common criticism, I'm sure it's something we'll see in the new site.
  20. Finally caught up on the series. The "Rebooted" story arc is going a lot better than I expected. I don't know why I didn't have high expectations for it in the first place, but that's irrelevant now! I am a bit confused about something though...
  21. Very nice! I like the tree the most. Trees are something I always have trouble giving volume to in LEGO, but you've certainly done a great job on this one.
  22. Finally decided to reply to this thread, since I kinda tl;dr'd it over the past few days. Just wanted to leave my comments on the 1 year rule to see if anyone is thinking along the same lines as me. When LEGO Ideas was in its closed testing phase (I try not to brag about it, but I was a part of that), I suggested a minor change to the proposal of the 1 year time limit. What I suggested was that after a project hits each thousand milestone (so 1000, 2000, etc), it goes back to 365 days on its countdown. So if a project has one month left and hits 1000, it gets all of its time back and has a year to get to 2000. This would keep still archive projects that never get past 1000 in a year, but it would take some stress off the project creators each time they pass a thousand support milestone. I hope I explained that well enough, but does anyone else think that would be a good idea? Also, when the site launches, be sure to submit any feedback, ideas or criticisms in the "send feedback" tool. Some of the feedback I provided I see has been taken into consideration, so don't hesitate from giving your feedback so that it can possibly be integrated into the site as well.
  23. If the Chima mammoth action figure head is the same size as the other Chima constraction heads, then it'll be bigger than the Orient Expedition elephant head, yes. You probably could build a body using the same general shape as the Orient Expedition one but at a bit larger scale, since it's a pretty basic shape that can be recreated fairly simply with basic bricks.
