I like the Ant-Man. The pieces used work well together.

I can see where that would be inconvenient. I don't remember where I got these ones; it was many years ago. I don't have drawers for a lot of recent parts either, so a lot of those end up staying in my bedroom in a box of disassembled sets from the past 3 or 4 years.

I shared this in another topic but: 16 sets of these hardware drawers that you can get at home improvement/hardware stores. All are mounted on the wall and have labeled drawers listing design ID, colour, etc. Any overflow parts that are too big for drawers (wheels, boat parts, etc) and parts I have a huge amount of (black 2 module Technic pins, etc) go in Rubbermaid bins.

That might be something you could contact LEGO customer service for. I've never seen people get replacement boxes for their sets but I always end up seeing different ways LEGO customer service comes through to make sure your product is satisfactory, so it wouldn't surprise me if they could send you new boxes for them. You should file a complaint with Argos beforehand though. Maybe they'll replace it for you on their own. Hopefully nothing was missing from the boxes though.

I'm with Dorek in that I don't like Ekimu being small. Even with the mask, he's still going to be small in my opinion.

I want to make diorama/scenes with Lego. Where to begin?
Meiko replied to TheLegoPerson9's topic in General LEGO Discussion
What the above two said, get some inspiration or imagine it, then take the steps to design it whether it be drawing or building with spare parts. You can also use LEGO Digital Designer to help you design it and figure out what parts you'll need for your diorama. -
A good way to possibly get users back in the swing of LUG meetups would be possibly to meet up at a LEGO Store and go shopping together and/or do a group build together. For example, offer a cool new set or a couple and meet up, build those as a group, and talk about the LUG in the process. Generally what loses peoples interest is when they get nothing out of LUG meetups, so building would give people a reason to attend and would be enjoyable. I don't know what the LUG's past meetups consisted of however so I don't know what's worked and what hasn't for OKCAFOL before. There are also some possibilities to make an enjoyable meetup that don't completely consist of LEGO. I've seen cookout kind of meetups that get people together, in which you can have food and build LEGO in the same day, or just simply meet up at a LEGO convention.

Lego Customer Service for missing parts ignoring my messages?
Meiko replied to Dosenbrot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My suggestion would be to wait for the rest of the day and if you don't hear anything then try calling customer service tomorrow. In 5 days you should have heard back but there's a possibility there's a delay in response time following the holiday season.- 23 replies

Best way to organize a kid’s collection
Meiko replied to Yatkuu's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, it's my family's. It's shared between myself, my brothers and my father located in my parents' basement. That's what happens when your whole family likes LEGO. -
That would be great. Basically like Master Builder Academy for CCBS. I'd actually really like that since MBA taught some cool System building techniques, so I'd be curious to see what kinds of new CCBS building techniques I'd see there.

Thanks, that's the most recent Boba Fett I had to compare to.
-
Definitely. Plus I don't know how well the Bionicle buckets sold, so there's no telling whether or not LEGO would consider doing that kind of thing again.

Oh, my bad. I thought a ninja couldn't use spinjitzu unless they had the elemental powers inside them or something. My mistake.

Really any store if I see a set I'm interested in. I don't get Star Wars sets all the often since I never followed the Expanded Universe and most of the recent sets for are of ships I don't know or already have an older version of. On occasion there are sets that I really like that I'll buy just because it looks cool, like 9500 which I bought at a LEGO Brand Retail store.
-
Yeah, I had a few. They're obnoxious to own because they're basically filled with the most useless Bionicle/Technic pieces ever and then some somewhat useful ones mixed in. I have a ton of multicoloured Hockey people bodies because of that and they're large and very hard to use. If they made one for CCBS that would be much better as CCBS is actually useful and works with each other unlike all those obscure Bionicle and Technic parts from over the years.

I wrote a review of the set here if anyone considering buying it would like to read. It's definitely a great set that is a testament to how awesome LEGO works as a display piece. :)

BrickUniverse is a new convention for 2015 taking place in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States from March 28-29 2015 (March 26-29 for registered attendees/exhibitors). Find more information at http://brickuniverse.org I will be attending to take part in a panel about the online LEGO fan community speaking for Brickipedia. If any other Eurobricks members will be there, I'll look forward to seeing you. (I am not affiliated with BrickUniverse and am only creating the topic because I noticed one wasn't created already)

Wasn't really a purchase since it was gifted to me from LEGO on behalf of Brickipedia to review, but I got 75060 Slave I in late November. It was a great set, being my first LEGO Star Wars set in a very long time, and first UCS set in an even longer time. It's impressive to see how far Star Wars and UCS have come as far as detail and design quality go. Every friend I've had at my house since I built it has been enthralled with it, them not even being LEGO fans. You can read my review here if you'd like.

Those actually look awesome. I like the scale they're at, being slightly larger than Mixels, and I also like there being four to five per tribe.
-
I got 42006 as a gift from my brothers and some various City, Ninjago, LEGO Movie, etc sets to split between me and my brothers. I also got some smaller items such as collectible minifigures. I also got 75060 from LEGO to review, which actually arrived in the mail on my birthday, but I'll count it as a Christmas present from LEGO as well. :)

Best way to organize a kid’s collection
Meiko replied to Yatkuu's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For a small kid with a small collection, Rubbermaid bins or similar light storage containers would be ideal. As the collection gets larger and they become a more serious builder, you'll probably want to expand so that you don't have disorganized bins everywhere. What I have is multiple sets of drawers that you can get at any hardware or home improvement store. I think I have 16 sets of drawers total and all the overflow, larger parts, or pieces I have a ridiculous amount of (like black Technic 2 module pins) go in Rubbermaid bins. These are useful because you can fasten them to a wall which keeps pieces and bins out of the way of the floor and keeps parts well-organized when you're looking for a specific part in one color. -
You'll need a LEGO ID which you can create on LEGO.com or use an existing one. I remember other users having issues logging in but I can't remember all the steps to get an account working again. I'd suggest you contact LEGO Customer Service at http://service.lego.com/en-us/

Their ability to do spinjitzu would be a part of their elemental powers, so I'm pretty sure they don't remember spinjitzu techniques either.
