In the US, you can get the current LOTR wave for about $403 from LEGO.com. That's £245. In the UK, the same wave costs £362 from LEGO.com, which is $595. I'm not sure how that works out with taxes and postage in the US, but you have it far better over there. Polybags is another matter, we have had Uruk-Hai, Frodo and Gandalf, but missed the Mirkwood Elf Guard. It's a shame they were included in such horrible newspapers, but they could be bought cheaply, and they sell for about £2 ($3) on eBay, but the MEG goes for around £10 ($16), and there aren't many of them going anyway.

I was making a list of everything missed out before this thread, it seems a good place to post my findings! I've emitted astromech and protocol droids as they're mostly reprints (but the R4's would need a new dome mold). Characters: luke poncho, recovery robes, black jumpsuit han endor leia white prisoner outfit, general lando han's clothes nien numb general dodonna ben ghost ghost yoda ghost anakin beru lars general tagge admiral motti piett veers ozzel needa jerjeriod (sp) zuckass 4lom Troops: rebel officers yavin rebel comms rebel honour guard imperial intelligence space storm troopers grey capped imperial technicians hoth rebel comms cloud city citizens ugnaughts emperor's advisors rebel leaders prunefaces rebel ishi tibs rebel dignitaries ace azzameen and other rebels aboard the millenium falcon Locations: obi-wan's hut mos eisley streets mos eisley spaceport death star control room hoth shield generator ion cannon dagobah swamp luke's camp the cave endor landing pad endor shield dish Ships: v-35 yavin hover transport hoth hover transport Probe Droid Pod super star destroyer medium transport tie shuttle nebulon b home one mos eisley pod Creatures: bantha scurrier jerba bogwing swamp creature mynock space slug Droids: cz-series kpr servant droid minelayer binary hydromech droid scrubber droid various treadwell droids 8D8 j9 worker drone giant mouse droid And that's before listing the Cantina characters, Jabba's crew and the Rebel Pilots!

There is a third which is basically a plain black jumpsuit. I think it's the outfit from the Ewok Village but with the 'collar' turned up, so it doesn't have the white bit.
-
Luke could be in the Poncho (IV), Recovery Robes (V) or Black Jumpsuit (VI), which I think are the only outfits not in Lego form yet. Or it could be a re-release of an old one. Dagobah, Cloud City and Endor have been absent the longest.

LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary Minifigure (2014)
Seaber replied to DarthR2-D2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Dodonna is a good shout. By releasing Celebration Luke, Han and Leia in other sets, it seems unlikely we'll ever see Yavin IV as a set, so this could be one of the only places to get him. Plus, it would continue the Yavin IV tradition! I think they'll stick with an OT main character. I'd go for: Recovery Robe Luke (Episode V), Han's Clothes Lando (Episode V), General Leia (Episode V) or ENDOR HAN. -
In the pre-lim images, you can see a white outline of a dome above the main door. I don't think it's a planet piece though, they have awkward connections, but we'll see.
-
I think the Ion Cannon (using the Death Star Planet Set Mold) and the shield generator will be included in the Snowspeeder set and AT-AT sets respectively, based on the prices. These OT sets came right off my wish list, and more than make up for just the one OT set in the current wave. I like the sound of the RA-7 and Ithorian in the JEK set too.

Narzug :) I like how MEA makes the river gate easy to build, I hadn't thought of that!

I don't think they will, I am fairly sure that's not licences material, plus the designers have not given much of an elven vibe to the architecture. It works perfectly in Lego though, lots of slopes!

When you see the film or pick up the film guide/visual guide, you'll see the courtyard the set is based on, and it looks pretty close. From memory there is an extra staircase, but otherwise a good representation. As the designers said, it's based on the courtyard, not the whole fortress. I know this was said a while ago, but the Rohan shields share a mold with Captain America's shield, so I think that's a justifies its usefulness. I agree about the Gondor/Orc stuff though, I'd hope for Gondor vs sand blue/dark grey orcs to be the main factions of a third wave.

With regards to Braga, the Lake Town Guard Captain, turning the Lake-town Guard's torso round and adding a cape would be more accurate I think.

In the books, it's Elves, Men and Dwarves against Goblins and Wargs. There are Eagles and Bats in a sky battle on either side, but they are not counted within the 'armies'. However, in a Vlog (I think), it is mentioned that they are considering not doing it this way, as in the films the Wargs are under the command of the Orcs. It's possible that the two evil armies could be the Goblins and Gundabad orcs though. There is also the possibility of Spiders, Vampires, and all sorts of dark creatures taking part. In any case, MEA gives us plenty of Wargs and Orcs for the battle.

I assume they've confused The Five Wizard staffs with the Seven Dwarf Rings and combined the two ideas by mistake. The ring in the statue is referenced in the EE, slightly.

Confusing the five staffs and seven rings I imagine :)

Weird about it only being for the first two films, unless the announcement is confused because of the old spring release. Maybe they'll do a complete Middle-earth game with the last one on or something. The figure would have to have no new molds (Lego LotR was the first time Elrond's sword was seen, but it is not unique to that set). If there was a minifigue, I'd guess it would be Bilbo in his dressing gown or waistcoat, or maybe Elrond in his armour or Thorin in his new clothes.

Bilbo has a blue coat, not brown :)

I got two Mirkwood Spider sets, and by turning the torso round, it looks like another generic Elf Torso. I'm going to try and get the Legolas Polybag to continue getting every set, and get a few more BLY hair pieces for Lorien Elves. I like the look of this wave so far, hope the polybags are widely available unlike the Mirkwood Elf Guard. Does this mean no large D2C set for this wave?

Gandalf is 5'11", Azog is 7'. Beorn doesn't have an official height yet, but his tall hairpiece helps make him giant sized. Woody legs would make him looks a bit gangly I think.

This wave we have new molds for Beorn, Thranduil, Radagast, Azog's head, Azog's arm and the Gundabad Orc armour. This is pretty cool as people have been clamouring for new Orcs and it gets four main characters in plastic. We will have an opportunity at the BO5A to see armoured Elves, but probably not the Woodland Guard again. The only disappointing thing in the hoods instead of hair. If you equate Dol Guldur Ambush to WIzard Battle, Mirkwood Elf Army to Council of Elrond, Lake Town Chase to Battle for the Black Gate and Dol Guldur Attack to Pirate Ship, then could we get a Smaug set similar to the Tower of Orthanc?

Bit disappointed we haven't seen any new Dwarf variants other than Thorin, but at least there's only one new Gandalf. All the new figures look good, but the three new revealed sets are a bit wall-y. Look good though. Do we know if the other two sets from the six promised are the Spiders and Barrels sets, or cancelled, or not revealed yet?

Sandyman's Water-Mill (Hobbiton, The Shire)
Seaber replied to TheBrickAvenger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is beautiful! The uneven brickwork looks great. -
FBAWTFT is about a British wizard in 1920's New York writing a book about incredible creatures. Whether or not Lego has a licence for it, the premise alone promises great sets. Also, it's a film series, I'm sure WB and JK Rowling wouldn't want to give up as long as the quality and love is there (In JK's case anyway). I'm sure that's tempted Lego. Could easily have a LOTR/Hobbit structure to it.
