  1. Just so long as what happens to Chewie in the NJO series doesn't happen in the films, I will be satisfied! I am so looking forward to the Ewok village set. New Leia, possibly new Han/Luke/Scouts, very exciting! My guess is it will have the net trap (turkey bait!), spits, hovering chair and up to three trees. If the Biker Scouts come with this set then a speeder bike or two too.
  2. This would be cool, but with the emphasis on the rebels, Rex and Co would be the bad guys. Weird thought! Cloud City and Dagobah haven't been seen since the days of yellow, so ten years on seems like a good time to revisit these places. Yavin IV would be good, but with the release of Luke, Han as exclusives, I think this has driven the likelyhood down.
  3. That's a terribly sad thought. However, I reckon (hope) IV-VI are still in the mix, with them taking place between Rebels and VII.
  4. Gandalf should be pronounced Gaandalv. Tolkiens Letters is the best place to read up on this. Therefore EVERY review is wrong and not up to standards. Does it really matter? Not at all. Can't wait for Gandalf the White!
  5. Sorry to go OT, but does anybody know if Minimates accessories fit Lego hands? The figures are weird looking things, but some of the accessories look pretty good (Anduril, Glamdring, Saruman's Staff). EDIT: Might be Aragorn's first sword, not Anduril. http://minimatescent...OTRMMPoster.jpg There seems to be quite a few figures available with pretty nice accessories and weapons. Are they of any use? :)
  6. IS that the Quatermaster Zombie head? Very nice scene! Truly looks like ruins :)
  7. Off the top of my head, Lobelia and Otho Sackville-Baggins ony appeaed in the FotR EE. I think I'll get an extra Rivendell split from the minifigures, as it's likely to only be £10-£15 on eBay, but I'd also like an extra Pirate Ship with the two dead soldiers and the corsair. Would it be cheaper to buy a Pirate Ship with no minifigs and BL the ones I want?
  8. Luke - Poncho, recovery robe things, Death Star black outfit, Death Star black outfit with white flap Han - Endor Leia - White Cloud City outfit, white gown worn on Nebulon B, Home One Officer uniform, Ewok village Lando - Han's clothes
  9. It is thought that the next two films will have a large battle each, probably with Dol Guldur in DOS and BO5A in TABA. We know we will get up to Lake Town and Bilbo talking to Smaug, but it may go further than that. We will definitely see Beorn, Thranduil, Legolas, Tauriel, Bolg, Master of Lake Town, Alfrid, Braga and Bard introduced in this film (i know Thranduil had a cameo before). Possibly others will appear too. I hope we don't get Legolas or Tauriel figures again this wave, unless they are different in some way. The dwarves and Bilbo change outfits, so I hope this is shown rather than just releasing the AUK versions.
  10. I was going to mention this. I only did the cloaks for the versions Lego have released. There are variants like Shire Sam and Lorien Haldir and many others which look completely different to the version Lego has released so far, and so their capes are likely to be different.
  11. After Lorien, Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and Boromir all wear the Lorien cloaks, which I would use as Dark Bluish Grey. The amount of extra Gandalfs put out should help cloth the taller characters. To my mind, Sand Green would be best colour for the Hobbit's cloaks, pre-Lorien. However, as that colour doesn't exist in cloak form, Olive Green, Dark Green or Light Grey would work best. Aragon wears a dark cloak up until Lorien. I would say dark green, but really dark brown would do just as well. Aragorn then wears a dark red cloak at the Black Gate. Legolas wears a brown cloak in Rivendell, but then doesn't wear one until he gets his Lorien cloak. Gimli wears a dark blue cloak on his arrival in Rivendell, which is not seen again. Boromir wears a dark red cloak sporadically from his arrival in Rivendell until Lorien. Gandalf wears a dark grey cloak as Gandalf the Grey, then a white one as Gandalf the White. When he is tricking possessed Theoden, he wears a dark grey cloak as Gandalf the White. Haldir wears a dark red cloak, Eomer wears a black one at Aragorn's coronation and Theoden wears no cloak at all
  12. He only puts on pauldrons, so the Mines of Moria one is fine. Maybe cut down some Brickforge pauldrons and vambraces to improve the look. The same figure comes with the Pirate Ship set, so the price may drop a small amount.
  13. Are we likely to get another couple of polybags with this wave? If so, my guess is that they will be based on Aragorn or possibly Gimli, as they are common characters with no cloth parts. For the army side, I think it will be a Mordor Orc with no hair or helmet. However, I would be over the moon is it was a soldier of the dead or the umbar pirate, but i think this is unlikely. Aragorn/Gimli with a tree, Orc with a catapult.
  14. I've based this list on previous waves and I think it looks fairly plausible. There are very few new molds and sets are often grouped in waves by the films they appeared in. Wave 1 (OT only): Stormtroopers & Rebel Soldiers Battle Pack - 2 Stormtroopers and 2 Rebel Soldiers - with Tantive IV corridor - £12 Yoda's Hut - Yoda, Luke (vest), R2-D2 - Boxes representing Luke's Camp and small Yoda hut with bed and kitchen - £20 The Cave - Luke (shirt), Darth Vader with reversible Luke face and broken helmet, Ben (ghost, somehow?) - £20 TIE Bomber/Shuttle - TIE Pilot, Imperial Pilot, Captain Lorth Needa, Mouse Droid - £50 Wave 2 (OT only): TIE Interceptor - TIE Pilot, Storm Trooper, Death Star Gunner (http://images1.wikia...star_gunner.jpg), Imperial Technician (http://images3.wikia...NavyCrewmen.jpg) - £50 B-Wing - B-Wing Pilot, Nien Numb, Astromech Droid, Rebel mechanic - £50 Ewok Village - Endor Han, Ewok Village Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, 3 Ewoks, Endor Trooper - Features net trap, floating chair, rotating spits and Imperial helmet drums - £100 These two waves are based upon the sets released in 2012, roughly the same prices. Wave 3 (OT only): Cloud Car - 2 Cloud Car pilots, Lobot, Bespin Guard - £25 Imperial Shuttle and Landing Pad - Luke (in black http://media.theiapo...?cdn=1368284162), Darth Vader, 2 Stormtroopers, Biker Scout, Imperial Pilot - Landing Pad, Speeder Bike, Imperial Shuttle - £60 Wave 4 (OT only): Lars Homestead - Luke, Owen, Beru, R2-D2, C-3PO, GNK droid, Treadwell Droid - Kitchen, dining area, workshop, moisture vaporators and skyhopper - £50 Mos Eisley - Luke(in poncho http://www.freewebs....poncho_2-01.jpg), Ben, Han, Chewbacca, Wuhur, Modal Nodes, Sandtrooper, Garidian, Dewback, 2 aliens - Cantina with moisture vaporator and a speeder. These waves are based upon the sets released in 2013, roughly the same prices. Ewok Village and the Landing Pad are similar to Jabba's Palace and Rancor pit in that they can be connected. Wave 5 (OT only): Hoth Shield Generator and Ion Cannon - Hobbie, Hoth Rebel Soldier, 2 Snowtroopers - Ion cannon made from planet sets pieces with shield generator - £30 Sandcrawler - Luke, Ben, R2-D2, C-3PO, 3 Jawas, 2 Tusken Raiders, Bantha, 3 Droids - Sandcrawer and Ben's Hut - £100 Wave 6 (OT only): Cloud City - Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, C-3PO, R2-D2, Lando, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Bespin Guard, Stormtrooper, Ugnaught - Landing Pad, Corridor, Dining Room, Living Quarters, Conveyor Belt Room, Interrogation Room, Carbon Freezing Chamber and the place where Luke and Vader fight - £130 These waves are based upon the sets released in 2011, roughly the same prices. Bonus figures, such as May the 4th promotions could include (the infamous) Lando in Han's clothes from the end of ESB, Ghost figs of Anakin and Yoda if an effective way of doing this is found, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, General Dodonna and Hand and Leia with the breathing apparatus they wear in the Space Slugs belly. I may have been a bit over zealous with the minifigures, but I think that otherwise the price suits the set pretty well.
  15. One reason I would prefer the hook hand, is because it would be easier to change him to pre-amputee Azog. I like the idea of the ears, but they only worked on the goblins because they had fairly large heads on skinny deformed bodies. Azog is huge and so they might make him look small. But it would allow for an angry face and a smiling/snarling face. Also, I speculate he will be very light bley, white is too light, light bley is too grey.
  16. It's probably we will get an Azog minifigure. How would you deal with his claw arm? http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/0oWJD5lFQB0/mqdefault.jpg I think the most likely option is to make a new hand mold, like the pirate hook. However, as his arm is cut off at the elbow, so maybe a piece like the robot arm could be used.
  17. They have had a fair amount of time to adjust to the three movie set up. It would be cool if they could include scenes from AUJ which were missed out due to Mirkwood Spiders and Barrel Escape. The troll camp and hoard and Rhosgobel being two I'd like to see, as both are most likely to only appear in film one. Erebor from the prologue would be cool, but more likely to come in later waves. Radagast and Azog minifigures too please. I know Azog should have been in Warg Attack, but I am sure there will be a place for him in future sets.
  18. We're due a TIE Interceptor, upgraded to the new grey designs, as well as the TIE Bomber. Perhaps the TIE Bomber could be made customiseable, in the small way the X-Wing can be made into two designs by making the 'bomb bit' removable, and add in a seat or two to make it a TIE Shuttle. This appeared in ESB. Bomber: http://www.therpf.com/attachments/f10/captain-needas-shuttle-esb-bomber.jpg-55105d1306867022 Shuttle: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE/sh_shuttle?file=Shuttle_front.jpg Pretty easy and wouldn't take up many new parts. Could give us a TIE Pilot, Imperial Pilot and Captain Needa (or any other Imperial Really) I think a new B-Wing would be sweet as well, it would complete the Rebel ships, being the only one of the main six (A-Wing, B-Wing, X-Wing, Y-Wing, Snowspeeder, Millennium Falcon) not to be redesigned recently. Home One or a GR-45/75 medium transport would be cool too. It would be cool to get a Hoth Shield Generator set, and the give the Hoth sets a rest for a few years, having virtually produced every character and vehicle seen here. Endor would be nice to see an Ewok Village with the Ewoks, Endor Han and Village Leia, and an Imperial landing pad and transmitter dish with speeder bikes, Imperials, Vader and Luke. Tatooine is sorted for sets from RotJ, but from ANH there is still so much potential here. Dagobah could feature an updated flesh Luke, printed Yoda and include Yoda's Hut and the Cave.
  19. Gandalf and Saruman both have exclusive faces double sided to this set. I don't know what other kind of Orc could be included in this set, although a hairpiece would be nice.
  20. I love this! And well done for Lego for making the Wizards Battle a nicely priced way to recreate one of the more memorable scenes from Orthanc. Nice new faces for Gandalf and Saruman too, and another eagle. I think the only way this could be better is if it closed to form a complete Orthanc rather than a three sided one. I can't afford one, but I am buying one anyway! I am so glad this came with Wormtongue, which means minifigure wise the only main ones left are Gondorian/RotK based or have a place in the Hobbit. Hopefully the third wave will be based on Gondor/Pelennor Fields with Denethor, Faramir, Eowyn and the Witch King all having appearances here. Galadriel being the last LotR main character can be shoehorned into a Hobbit set I am sure!
  21. Instantly recognisable! Great work :)
  22. He wears it in a market scene, it appears near the beginning of trailer 1. Edit: 30 seconds in:
  23. The characters who visit Orthanc in LOTR are: Gandalf the Grey (FOTR) Gandalf the White (ROTK) Aragorn (ROTK) Legolas (ROTK) Gimli (ROTK) Merry (ROTK) Pippin (ROTK) Theoden (ROTK) Eomer (ROTK) Gamling (ROTK) Treebeard (TTT/ROTK) Saruman (FOTR/TTT/ROTK) Wormtongue (TTT/ROTK) Lurtz (FOTR) Sharku (TTT) There are also many Orcs (FOTR/TTT), Uruk-Hai (FOTR/TTT), Wild Men (TTT), Wargs (TTT) and Ents (TTT/ROTK). Finally, there is an Eagle and the moth. (FOTR) I doubt Lego will put in any characters who never visited. I think The Two Towers and Return of the King give more interesting minifigs, as well as the possibility of Ents.
  24. I doubt we'll get a new face, but that torso looks ace! We'll see more of it in the EE.
  25. It is. Are Aragorn's legs normal tan over dark tan in the minifig lineup picture?
