Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion

Rebel Trooper here! -
Is it possible Lego made Azog tan like Wormtongue and Gollum to give them that pale, ill look. Then when he didn't look as good as he could, keep 100 of these an figures as a free giveaway and putting whiter Azogs into production?

Beorn and Mirkwood sets! And I'm going to guess some Dol Guldur side plot will happen pre-Laktown too. So two, possibly three :)

Personally, I'd buy two Black Gates first for two horses, then just buy four more from Bricklink/ebay along with six torsos and six cloaks. I'm sure I have enough spare hoods, heads and legs to complete the set. So probably between fifteen and twenty quid. Hoods aren't perfect, but I'm happy with them.

I think the most likely future Middle-earth films would happen during the War of the Ring, such as the War in the North. Lots of information about this is available within the licencing, and WB won't want to miss out on the huge cash cow that is LOTR/The Hobbit. As well as this, with the Hobbit films now out, it could bring back characters from both LOTR and the Hobbit. However, as Tolkien never wrote the stories about the War in the North for example, would there be interest? And there would be no Hobbits which forms the heart of Middle-earth. Anyway, back to the topic, DOS will feature from Beorn to when the Dwarves get to Erebor, as well as some Dol Guldur side plot. BO5A is in TABA. I'd like to see more of Thranduil's Halls to compliment Barrel Escape. With the six sets we've been given, I think that's pretty likely.

Sandmirror38, if you cannot upload them, try sending them to a mod. I'm sure they'd help you out.

Just to remove confusion, this is Endor Han: I hope the figure is OT at least. The AT-AP almost certainly features Gree, as his clones (41st Elite Corps) had plainish armour, or the green biker scout armour. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CC-1004 http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/41st_Elite_Corps I'd like to see what's under the panel on the side. In a way it's a shame Lego is (almost certainly) moving on to ROTS already. I don't buy any PT stuff, but AOTC has only had fourteen sets, most of which are remakes of AOTC/TCW/ROTS sets. Still, never mind, I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Fingers crossed for Endor Han as they missed him out in the Ewok VIllage set.

The boat is much to narrow compared to the one it is based on (in the DOS sneak peak), so perhaps it could have used this piece: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=33129 However, I don't care. Thorin's new torso looks good. The Master looks good. The guard (who I though would have reused the PoP helmet) looks good. Bard looks good, and the Qui-Gon hairpiece is the best for him, and almost perfectly works with quivers, unless they've modded the mold. I hope that they didn't include a version of Bilbo we already have at the expense of another one. However, that's speculating, so this set looks brilliant to me.

Looks like Tarfful to me! Explains the gun too.

A possible set to set the standard for a Roast Mutton set would be the Rancor Pit. The set is essentially a way for fans to get a Rancor. If that Rancor was replaced with three Trolls (I'd be perfectly happy with the Mountain Troll mold used in dark tan or something similar with individual faces) and Luke, Malakili and the Gamorrean replaced with Bilbo, Gandalf and two or three Dwarves (two on the spit and one in a sack for example), I think the minifigure and creature balance is pretty equal. The Rancor Pit set features an open cage with not a huge amount of bricks. A cliff that breaks, a spit, a camp fire, as well as some rocks and bushes could fill up this set. So I think it's feasible that Roast Mutton could be a set.

A while ago I started making unique weapons for Thorin's Company. These then got boxed up when I went to uni, and now I'm back for summer I'm getting round to finishing them off. First up is Orcrist, the Goblin-Cleaver. For this I used a silver ninja sword, blu tack and glue. It was supposed to just be a preliminary version, but I quite liked it. It's a bit untidy and needs work, but I thought it was okay for a mk1 :) And alongside Bilbo and Gandalf. I can't remember what piece i used for Glamdring except it was an unofficial piece I probably bought from firestartoys. Also, a shot of twelve Dwarves feasting in Bag End. And finally, I am looking for someone to share in an adventure.

Many thanks! I have another few vignettes lined up now I'm home, but I'm finding having a lot of bricks to work with is more restricting than liberating!

Thanks! I think the Bilbo face looks good on Quirrell. If only he had Saberwing40k's colour changed torso though! :D Oops, sorry for forgetting your face twins!

Even better now! The posing is great!

Very Nice! The only think I'd change is the posing of the Uruk-Hai with pikes. I don't think they carried shields, so I would position them sideways. Very cool though, Gandalf the White looks lovely!
-
I like it! The only thing I would change is maybe make the area behind the cockpit less plain. Really nice mod though!

Thanks for the kind words! :)

I had some time on my hands, a week ago before I came home from uni. Using the small amounts of bricks I had there, I made a few Hogwarts Vignettes to pass the time and to try some different building styles. Due to the small number of bricks, sometimes I had to substitute colours, but I'm still happy with most of them. I'll put them up in the order I made them. Seamus and Neville on the lakefront. Seamus is skimming stones and Neville is practicing Wingardium Leviosa. Trevor the Toad is contemplating life. Lupin's Office. Lupin is relaxing in his office with his favourite panacea - chocolate. His Wolfsbane potion is ready by the window, the tank behind his desk is ready for its next occupant, and he is casually perusing the confiscated Marauder's Map. Slytherin Common Room. Crabbe is finishing his pumpkin juice as Pansy Parkinson looks at the timetable to see which class she has next. The Humpback Witch Statue. Harry slides down the cute and sets of through the underground passage to meet his friends in Hogsmeade. Snape surveys the statue with interest. The Chamber of Secrets. Ron moves to clear the rubble that Lockhart blasted from the ceiling when his spell backfired. Lockhart is humming tunelessly. The Dungeon Corridor. Ginny is taken by suprise when the Bloody Barron drifts though the wall in front of her, through the stalagmite and stalactite formation. The Prank. Fred (or is that George?) floods the bathroom to make Quirrell late for class.

Are you planning on making any more of the Shire? The Bridge and the Mill spring to mind!

X-Wings and their predecessors already exist in the canon, as do Y-Wings and A-Wings have already been retconned. R-22 's also appear in games set before the Battle of Endor, even though they are sometimes still called A-Wings. I'm sure we'll see more of Boba Fett and Slave I too! EDIT: And possibly the Millennium Falcon as well

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_of_the_Great_Pit_of_Carkoon There is a list of Jabba's henchmen along the side, and so many of them would make great minifigures. Lots of them wouldn't requite molds, just printing like Kithba and the Weequay (Queepeg). I'd rather have one of them than another C-3PO. I do think the Sail Barge looks a bit minifig light, but with Jabba and three brand new molds, it is still very decent :)
-
I would say the A-Wing and the TIE Fighter are up there with Slave I. Maybe Luke's Landspeeder as a smaller UCS set. I won't ever get a UCS set, but I do love seeing them :) The B-Wing was put into development in 0ABY, a few months after the Battle of Yavin. It's possible we could see protoypes or a variation I guess. A-Wings (R-22 Spearheads), X-Wings (Headhunters, older X-Wing models) and Y-Wings are likely to appear though.

I like that Ewok Village design, well done to the builder! I'd exchange two or three of those rebel troopers for Biker Scouts or more Ewoks though. I'm guessing whoever made this had a Cannibal Escape or two kicking around :)
