  1. Sam visits the mirror with Frodo in the book :) Nice Moc! The only improvement I think could be made is a silver bowl instead of gold. I'm not sure if they come in silver though. Looks fantastic, wonderful Galadriel too!
  2. I would say 95% not going to happen. The reason being in some of the AUJ interviews, Jackson, Boyens and/or Serkis mentioned a possibility of more Gollum scenes. These scenes if they transpire are likely to concern the Mirkwood elves holding him prisoner after his escape from Mordor. Aragorn capturing him could be easily changed. Just speculation at this point though. I hope there are a few more sets, especially as the Corsair Ship hardly seems like a flagship set (£60 perhaps). As this wave has no Hobbits so far, I think they could be included in larger releases.
  3. No, these are from the bonus level where you destroy Middle Earth. The game looks fantastic, the best Lego game yet IMO.
  4. The Frodo minifig has more use than the Gandalf one as he could be used to make a generic Hobbit. But they were both disappointing compared to the other polybag they were released with.
  5. If the Gandalf figure comes out in the UK, most likely as a Sun promotion, I'd get one. The pieces are nice and I could use more dark grey capes. It does bring the total number of Gandalf the Greys up to four, with another two rumoured for a 2013 release.
  6. I haven't head of this polybag before!
  7. This is a photo of Character Pack 3. Any one else got this? It says it's a PS3 exclusive on the box, do other systems have exclusive characters? Bought from Game UK, with the Elrond pre-order. Sorry for the bad photo!
  8. Yes, they're the only characters mentioned.
  9. It was from Game (UK)
  10. I got the Elrond edition of the LotR game today, and inside was a code for Character Pack 3. It comes with Faramir in armour and a Barrow-wight. Has anyone else got this? It says it is exclusive to PS3. Do any other systems have different characters?
  11. Yeah, Uruk-Hai and Frodo's Cooking Corner were in bigger bags, whilst other Sun promotions (I only got the Thor one) were regular sized.
  12. I only got one Uruk-Hai polybag, but I would get many of these. As someone above said, we need an army builder for the Elves. I'm not sure if my copy of the LotR game will come with pre order codes, and I don't want to wait for them to go up on PSN. If someone uploaded the codes, would they work more than once? Thanks! :)
  13. That is a very cool polybag! If they come to the UK, I'll certainly buy one. If that turns out to be the Mirkwood Elves uniform, I'd get multiples. Looks to be identical to the figure in Barrel Escape set, but with a hood and quiver instead of the Elven hair.
  14. It would be nice if we got the Elf hair variants from that video. The female hair for Galadriel and Arwen, the crowned headpiece for Elrond (Third Age) and other Elven Lords, and the Helmetted hair piece for Second and Third Age Elves. I'm sure they could make it ambiguous enough that it would do for both armies, similar to the Rohan Helmet.
  15. I was meant to go back and edit that post! :) What I meant to say was it doesn't seem much taller. I am not saying it's a bad height though, it seems pretty good for Lego scale.
  16. Interesting to note that the Orthanc in the open room photo does not seem to be taller than the horn tower from Helms Deep at 25 bricks high. Unless that particular shelf is lower than those around it.
  17. I think the price is about right in terms of piece count, being between Moria ($80) and Helms Deep ($129) according to lego.com fo rthe American prices (I'm assuming the prices are USD). However, the minifigs are way off. For a set this size, I think it would be best if Lego used TTT plot and had Saruman, Wormtongue, Merry, Pippin, Orcs as well as Treebeard/more Ents. It would be disappointing if we did not get the whole tower, and instead just one part of it, such as the Palantir room or the roof. Same with Minas Tirith, if we only got a very small part of it. Orthanc is very tall (500ft) and could be made quite easily to fit into 'Lego scale' and look good. Minas Tirith would be much harder.
  18. As far as I can remember, Isengard is one of only three locations that appear in every film. The others being Rivendell and Mordor. In FotR, Isengard had Gandalf the Grey fighting Saruman, the eagle rescue, the orcs cutting down trees and the birth of the first Uruk-Hai. In TTT, Isengard had Wormtongue working with Saruman, the wildmen, the Uruk-Hai army and the last march of the Ents. In RotK, Isengard had the 'negotiations' between Saruman with Wormtongue against Gandalf the White, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Theoden, Eomer, Merry, Pippin and the Ents, and the death of the antagonists. All of these would make very good sets I think. If the list is genuine, I wouldn't mind the FotR set as it looks like we will get Ents elsewhere, but I think the eagle is needed to make up for another Gandalf the Grey.
  19. As much as I want Minas Tirith and other Gondorian sets, I'd like some more sets to be added to the Rohan line. Edoras, the Warg attack and even the throne room from Helms Deep could be released as an add on set to further flesh out the Rohan characters and armies, as well as more Uruks and hopefully Elves. Fingers crossed for battle packs too! Rohan/Isengard this wave, Gondor/Mordor the next perhaps?
  20. Pretty much all the orcs in Isengard look like this (Snaga orcs). Squat, brownish skin with little hair and lots of rings in their face. I agree it would be nice to have variation in faces though! The other variant breeds are Morannon orcs, Morgul orcs as well as Moria orcs and the Uruk-Hair.
  21. I think the proportion of Gandalf the Grey minifigures is a bit silly (five identical figures in three waves). Unless they swap his hat for hair I suppose. I'm glad it looks like they are making the creatures of Middle Earth. I thought Lego might shy away from Ents in particular. Hopefully Mumakil, Fell Beasts, Watcher in the Water and troll variants will follow, along with some LOTR Wargs.
  22. I can see Treebeard being brick built, but I think a brick built Balrog is a strange choice. Of course, I haven't seen any pictures, but I was imagining the Balrog to be similar in size and design to the Rancor. Other than that, it's strange that there would be at least one more Gandalf the Grey considering his two appearances in Hobbit sets. The Gandalf from the Isengard set could be Gandalf the White, but it seems unlikely considering the minifigures. The appearance of Merry and Pippin has me suspecting that we won't see them in their Rohan/Gondor attire this wave. I can't wait to hear about the other sets. Eight would make it the biggest Middle Earth wave so far. I guess that this waves small set will be the mirror of Galadriel. Sorry for adding that tiny bit of speculation!
  23. I find the Viking torso with the shoulder strap to be a good basis for the Rohirrim. As well as some of the plainer Kingdoms/Fantasy Era armour. For heads, I would suggest Barbossa, Norrington, POTC Coachman, Thor, Qui-Gon (two variants), Episode III Obi-Wan (two variants), Old Obi-Wan, Crix Madine, Endor Rebel from the shield bunker set, Remus Lupin (Never Version) and Shiek Amar. I am sure there are others! Some of these are perhaps too dark. People from Rohan tend to have light hair, blond, ginger and light brown, whilst Gondorians have darker hair (mostly)
  24. Yeah, the lack of camo-Han is disappointing. I think that's the only outfit of Han's yet to be released. ITt could possibly be released in a set with an Ewok Village Leia and Luke though, we're still yet to get them...
