  1. I am planning to go the far south as well. But that will take me multiple months. As we don't know much about the regions we will pass, maybe we can sail together for a while, Count Mesabi? At least till my first stop in Tellvok, where I hope to find more information about an event 500 years ago? The more vessels, the safer our trip. If others want to join my/our trip, feel free! Ps, don't forget this mention in the KPA a few months back:
  2. There are many things I really like in this Frigate Bodi! Does Oleon still knows what to do with all those warships? :p
  3. Genius idea! The build itself looks very vibrant, so great job with that!
  4. I had a first "very nice" moment when sawing the cutter. But the turtle was the "Wow" moment in this build :D Very fun story as well!
  5. Great you enjoy it so much :D Hahaha that might be true :p Folklore at its best :p Thanks! :D The wine wasn't that succesfull for the soccerteams indeed... Oh well, at least they enjoyed their stay :D The pont was the most mindcracking thing to build :p Erm, one of the hats if from the CMF Judge, the other one once belonged to a certain POTC captain Barbossa. You got also the brown hairpiece of QuinQon Jin (SW)
  6. I really enjoy your minifig posing :p It always look like a wacko bunch of soldieres :p
  7. @blackdeathgr, @Ayrlego, @Bodi, @SilentWolf, @MKJoshA, @Faladrin, @Mesabi, @dr_spock, @Captain Braunsfeld, @Capt Wolf I have transferred the rewards for participating (and winning if that is the case) to your accounts. Thank you very much for participating! @all: I am very happy with your positive feedback! It was a pleasure to organise it!
  8. I am going to send a vessel South as well. More about this will be revealed the upcomming weeks weeks when I publish the background of my own ERA II Quest.
  9. I am very sory for this. but on the bright side, it is better to have them now then after a decission already being made. And to be clear, all of this is not personal. I am really looking forward meeting Bregir this weekend IRL at Skaerbaek Fan Weekend :)
  10. Well, then I am going to work about the official declaration. You are right it never has been declared official, but to be honest, this is what I considered to be granted, reading the description of the Challenge and the results, Here I am not agreeing with you. Eslandola was in a state of war with Mardier. So why do you expect Eslandola to claim in front of everyone (and Mardier): "hey guys, we paid 500 db's to Garvey so they will do the next move. Oh and please, act like you don't know when this action happens". The reason for this payment is known by SkaForHire, the game master of those events... Don't forget the whole RNTC thing was because I spotted the transaction between RNTC and Mardier. They never publicly declared what it was for and even denied it in the beginning. This is a game where we agreed we try to talk as much IC as possible. I don't ask of Corrington to publish a report of every action they planned in a MRCA. These are the behind the scheme stuff that makes the game interesting. So yes, no-one heard about the money Garvey received, and no, I never said it is part of the known BOBS Lore as it was a secret transaction. But if evaluating the Garvey-Eslandola relations, it is something that should be known, and it was known by the game masters back then. See my reaction to SilentWolf. If you interpret events, you should know everything as gamemaster. The gamemaster who monitorred the KPA, knew about the transaction of money. The players of BoBS should not know as it was a secret payment. As you say, this game is much more than simply EGS. Why does a Corrington gamemaster need to define how Garvey reacted to a deal they made with Eslandola, without him knowing what was agreed upon. If those who set up the alliance with Garvey promised a part of the island to Garvey, then I completely understand your reaction, but that never was a part of the deal. I find it very alarming that you as gamemaster would interpret the relations between Garvey and Eslandola as 'not that strong because Garvey would be lukewarm'. It is your opinion as someone who does not know the whole story. I don't want to say you are lying, because you can't lie if you don't know the whole story, but claiming certain stuff that you don't know about, can result in a lie, even if wasn't volutary. Your statement of " (Garvey got nothing from the war, for instance) " does not match the truth as is proven.
  11. What, am I now again the one who has to satisfy you? I don't own you nothing. You are the one who suggests two times in the same post that Eslandola owes Garvey a piece of the island. As stated, we never promised Garvey a part of the island. They helped us and for their help they are rewarded. About the financial part, I will use the tactic of RNTC, the tactic of silence. But if you want, go ahead and check the March 617 summary, you'll see Garvey received a sum of 500 db's. As you can see here, Garvey gets the credits for taking over the Tuna Fishing. Eslandolan soldiers helped with Garvey for this. I see nowhere that Eslandola controls the Tuna Industry now as a result of Cat D, so why should we officialy state we give that monopoly to Garvey? We helped Garvey establishing that monopoly, just like they helped us conquering the island. I really don't get the Corrington frustration. We were at war long before KPA started, we invaded their island to secure our islands. Corrington sent an army as well to that island to secure their interests (but if I remember correctly, you were not at war with Mardier, so you sent troops to occupy lands of a neutral faction). We fought for the island and weren't affraid of the Mardier Revenge. (do I have to remind you of the blockaded and raided Eslandolan ports during the war) How can we secure our islands and our area of influence if we have to give a part of it to another nation? Why envying that island when you already have the largest mass in the new world? Last time I checked, it still is smaller than almost 4/7 of your other islands. To conclude, Eslandola made a deal with Garvey, a deal with benefits for both parties.
  12. Not completely true ;) They now have the monopoly over the Tuna Fishing industry (as a result of Eslandola winning one of the parts of Chal V). So they now control the Tuna business, a very profitable business as it was this that funded Mardier for decades. Also, Garvey has a property in Trador (a gift from me) and was able to participate in the NTSC (also a gift from me, I could have sent another MAESTRO Squad in). It may be true this didn't translate in a piece of the island for Garvey, but giving a part of the island to Garvey wasn't a part of the deal in the first place. Garvey was just like Eslandola already at war with Mardier, and we combined forces. There is also a nice sum paid to Garvey for their help in certain battles. Stating that Eslandola didn't reward Garvey for their effort and the whole alliance was one-sided is a nothing more than a lie and can be seen as spreading anti-Eslandola propaganda. Oh, and before you start claiming that Eslandola was not at war with Mardier before KPA happened: This was an official declaration of war (this was when Eslandola helped Prio in their fight, long before KPA).
  13. I think this is also what is going to happen :) In the beginning of BoBS, there were a few skirmishes between the 4 PC factions and some NPC factions. The NPC factions were represented by 3 random BoBs players to build for the NPC faction. In the end, a vote determined what side won. I think/hope something will be similar here. All those NPC factions can be represented by gamemasters and BoBS leaders. And by dices as well ofcourse. If you discover a new place, you got some options I can think off: Start trade relations (to be determined by the game master / dice). It is stupid to let other players determine if that newly discovered faction is hostile or not. Conquer. Here the other players can play the NPC and through a serie of builds, it will be determined who wins. Ofcourse some events determined by dice rolls can occur. --- What I would like to see however is some kind of nation influence points. By setting up agreements, building in a NPC faction, helping them in wars, having alliances, founding embassies, ..., players can collect NIP's from that faction. The player with the most NIP's can "influence" that faction. Real life: see it as a company/person having so much influence over another entity, it can influence the other entity their actions. examples: 2 players are racing against eachother to gain as much influence over a region as possible. The moment one of the two has the necessary influence, they can ally with the region or even force the region to seize all belongings of the other player. In the latter case, this will be catastrophal for the relations between both players. a player has enough influence in a region, it can start a rebellion against the current owners of the region. When discovering a new region/faction, a player can "claim" that faction, declaring all other players that building up an amount of influence over this region, can result in diplomatic trouble. other players can evaluate if the region/faction is interesting enough to start a war with the faction/player claiming the newly discovered faction/region. The larger the faction/region, the more NIP's a player need to have some sort of influence. inspiration: Imperial Glory Once a nation likes you enough, it joins you in wars and if you have the max number of influence, it becomes a part of your nation.
  14. It is up to you to discover those other worlds! We have received our start map last ERA and we explored a bit of the world in the east. In ERA II, we have the chance to discover the map in any direction we want! So feel free to send missions to the most southwestern part possible to map and explore the world :) Those areas are already on a map, a map that is not available for public as long as no-one explores that region. It is a very interactive world we live in, so go ahead and explore! The only thing we agreed on since the beginning is not to include slavery in BOBS.
  15. Hasn't Oleon a New Oleon part that could function as Merica? :p
  16. Ladies and gentlemen. Thank you very much for attending the first New Terra Soccer Cup here in Trador! It was a very exciting event with some surprising results! The winning team, the Buffed Shirtless Athletes ( @dr_spock ), brought the Sea Rats to a delirium after winning with 5-2 against the HMS Royal Oak Team ( @Ayrlego). Anargy won against order! But most people do agree the match for the 3rd place was even more entertaining! The Onondaga Leather Ball Team ( @SilentWolf ) rememberd just in time that it was their passing that brought them so far. It wasn't that succesfull in the beginning of the Shadowfinal, but once the Extra Time begun, they didn't screwed one single pass! The losing team, the Prancing Pontelli Platfeer ( @Captain Braunsfeld ) may be proud of their parcour, but if they didn't miss so many chances the last 2 games, they could have won the cup! Ranking: Buffed Shirtless Athletes 500 db's the right to organise the next soccer cup! HMS Royal Oak Team 300 db's Onondaga Leather Ball Team 100 db's All teams will receive 25 db's (also the top 3) one of the next days. The only exception so far is @Mesabi as his misbehaviour may have some consequences. A committee is sent to Mesabi's Landing to talk everything through. Again, thank you very much for attending this event! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! I am really looking forward to the next event like this!
  17. With some minutes en retard, the final has begun! Good luck to both teams! And let us not forget the 2 poor teams playing the Shadow Final for the third place! Final & Shadow Final - Thursday 14 september 20h - 1st half - 1st quarter HMS Royal Oak Team - Buffed Shirtless Athletes 1 - 1 Interesting beginning of the game with both teams already scoring! Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 1 - 1 The best player of the Onondaga is still injured (damn you Sea Rats!), so the team still can't play their favorite passing game. Very positive for the spectators, as they already saw both teams scoring in the first quarter! 20h05 - 1st half - 2nd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team - Buffed Shirtless Athletes 0 - 1 (1 - 2) Is it a bird? Is it a plane? The corries still don't know where the Sea Rat was pointing too. The trick worked and the Sea Rats could easily score with the corries being distracted... Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 0 - 0 (1 - 1) 20h10 - 1st half - 3rd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team - Buffed Shirtless Athletes 0 - 0 (1 - 2) Still confused, the Royal Oak Team is back defending their goal with almost all their players. Hopefully they can make things up next half! Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 1 - 1 (2 - 2) The Prancing Pontelli Platfeet is giving their opponents the ball and enjoy the poor natives trying to achieve more than 5 successfull passes in a row. Once they managed it and even scored! But most of the time they lose the ball stupidly, giving beautifull chances to the Eslandolan players. 20h15 - 2nd half - 1st quarter HMS Royal Oak Team - Buffed Shirtless Athletes 0 - 1 (1 - 3) Those who hoped the Corries would find spirit in their tea will be disappointed. The Sea Rats however found some extra spirit in their spirits (rum) and are now 2 goals ahead! The Corries need to score next quarter or they will lose the game! Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 1 - 1 (3 - 3) Same as the 3rd quarter, the Onondaga got the ball and got some small chances, but the smart Eslandolans are abusing every mistake of the Onondaga. 20h20 - 2nd half - 2nd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team - Buffed Shirtless Athletes 1 - 1 (2 - 4) And it is over for the HMS Royal Oak Team! They scored first in the 5th quarter, but the answer of the Sea Rats was very fast and precise!!! What a drama for Corrington! The attending Sea Rats are already ordering tons of apple cider, rum, beer and wine to celebrate their victory!!! Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 1 - 1 (4 - 4) After both teams scoring quickly in the fifth quarter, the Eslandolans are claiming the ball constantly. But The Prancing Pontelli Platfeer are missing chance after chance. 20h25 - 2nd half - last quarter HMS Royal Oak Team - Buffed Shirtless Athletes 0 - 1 (2 - 5) To make it even more painfull for the Corries, the Athletes manage to score an impossible free kick. The team that was most popular at the bookmakers, lost the final. Congratz for the underdog! Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 0 - 0 (4 - 4) The citizens of Trador are rallying for the Pontelli Platfeet, but it seems that the stress is taking over.... Extra Time will hopefully determine the 3rd place! 20h30 - Extra Time - first quarter Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 0 - 1 (4 - 5) After a small break, both teams are back on the field. The Onondaga are passing again, this time without mistakes... Now the Eslandolans are running like crazy after the ball... And goalll!!!! The Eslandolans have no answer... Can they turn the tide in the last quarter? 20h35 - Extra Time - second quarter Prancing Pontelli Platfeet - Onondaga Leather Ball Team 0 - 0 (4 - 5) And the referee blows the whistle! The Onondaga ended the tournament like they started their very first match: passing! The Pontelli Platfeer are doing their very best trying to catch the ball, but without success. No medals for the Eslandolans... Results HMS Royal Oak Team (COR - @Ayrlego) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR @dr_spock) 2 - 5 Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL - @Captain Braunsfeld) - Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT - @SilentWolf) 4 - 5
  18. The government of Trador is very much aware of the plundering of the WTC (check my reference in the NTSC topic yesterday :p ) The reason there hasn't been an official statement is because we prefer to let a foolish action not to blow up the relations between Eslandola and Corrington. But we are going to contact the WTC to further discuss these events :)
  19. @NiceMarmot Nice to see you resurrecting! Since the Kali Civil War, I have vanished from GoH as well, but now I discovered the 5 years celebration challenge, I might do some stuff for GoH again. My main focus is mostly in BoBs lately, the pirate-version of GoH. Not sure what else I'll do beside that challenge, as Stedor is a finished chapter for me (I tore the whole city down to start Trador in the BoBs universe)
  20. Thanks to MKJoshA, I saw the existence of this challenge :p I guess I still am a member of GoH, so I can participate? Maybe I will participate (not sure yet) as this is a perfect way to explain my absence the past well erm 2 years :p Since the beginning, I incorporated the exotic Guilds of Ximus, Atlarka & Amenor in my stories (I think those who are interested can find more information about those at the GoH wikia). So maybe this is the perfect challenge to return to those lands. I do wonder for the CMF challenge in what way I can reuse some of the soldiers I made in the past? Or do all 18 of them need to be new?
  21. The last day of the New Terra Soccer Cup is presenting itself! The finals will not be played around 12h (CET) as usual, but at 20h (CET), so in almost exact 12h from now on :)
  22. Well, the nice thing about BoBs is that you will develop at your own speed :) when most of us started, we all didn't reach the quality of what we have now :) we will give you a lot of feedback through your building process so you can develop yourself :)
  23. In one more day we know who will the New Terra Soccer Cup! The semi-finals were exciting! With the Onondaga surprisingly losing against the Buffed Shirtless Athletes. The Royal Oak Team had trouble with the Prancing Pontelli Platfeet, but due their organisation, they won in the end. The final is a replay of the second matchday. To remind everyone the Corries won the game with 5 - 10 against the Sea Rats. Can the Sea Rats take revenge tomorrow? The Shadow final (aka the match to determine third place) is a replay of the first matchday, a match between the Prancing Pontelli Platfeet & Onondaga Leather Ball Team, which the latter won with 3 - 1. Final - Thursday 14 september HMS Royal Oak Team (COR - @Ayrlego) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR @dr_spock) Shadow Final - Thursday 14 september Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL - @Captain Braunsfeld) - Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT - @SilentWolf) As a reminder, here are the rewards: See you tomorrow!
  24. Ladies and gentleman, The last hand is being layed on the preparations of the field. To make it even more exciting, we hid some booby traps in the field! Just kidding, the WTC stole them a few days ago... Here is our schedule for today! Enjoy the games! There is no refund for those who'll fall asleep watching the Onondaga passing to eachother. 12h - 1st half - 1st quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 0 - 0 Nothing to see here in the 1st quarter Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 0 - 0 And the passing play of the Onondaga started once again. Can the tackling sea rats find a solution? 12h05 - 1st half - 2nd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 0 - 0 (0 - 0) Still nothing to see here. Both teams are affraid to lose in this stage of the tournament, resulting in mostly defending. Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 1 - 0 (1 - 0) Goal! Once again the Onondaga are leading the game so early. No easy boarding for the Sea Rats I fear... 12h10 - 1st half - 3rd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 0 - 1 (0 - 1) They didn't forget to score! After their glorious day yesterday, the Prancing Pontelli Platfeet are finding the goal again! Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 0 - 1 (1 - 1) What a disaster for the Onondaga! The Sea Rats violently tackled their most valuable passer. Even they received a red card, they knew to score some minutes later after intercepting a bad Onondaga pass! Will the Onondaga recover? 12h15 - 2nd half - 1st quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 0 - 0 (0 - 1) The Pontelli Platfeet are dominating the game, but none of their shots can surprise the 11 keepers of the Royal Oak Team... Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 1 - 1 (2 - 2) No need for refunds! What an exciting game! Still struggling to pass perfectly, the Onondaga have it more difficult than in the previous games. Still they know how to score! After another bad pass, the Sea Rats picked up the ball and scored the 2 - 2. 12h20 - 2nd half - 2nd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 1 - 1 (1 - 2) Some miscommunication by the Corries lead to a small gap where the Eslandolans placed the ball. The Pontelli Platfeer were so relieved they could score a goal, they didn't notice the Royal Oak player sneaking to the goal and scoring in an empty goal. The Corries need to score one more goal if they want to have extra time. Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 1 - 1 (3 - 3) The match is really open with chances and a goal at both sides! 12h - 2nd half - last quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 1 - 0 (2 - 2) Extra time!!! It was all or nothing for the Corries and they went for all! Finally we saw that the scoring talent of the Royal Oak Striker again. In the groupsphase, he scored with his eyes closed, but in the last days, we only saw him defending. Anyway, Extra Time will decide who goes to the finals! Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 1 - 1 (4 - 4) In the very last minute, the Onondaga scored the necessary goal for extra time after being 3-4 behind for the last 10 minutes! 12h30 - Extra Time - 1st quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 0 - 0 (4 - 4) Both teams are getting nervous again! Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 1 - 1 (5 - 5) The game goes smoothly up and down. The Sea Rats even forget to play dirty! Once again both teams scored during the same quarter. Such an eye-candy! 12h35 - Extra Time - 2nd quarter HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 0 - 0 (2 - 2) Nothing to see here, except 2 teams that are defending their fortress with hand and feet. Penalties will determine the winner! Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 0 - 0 (5 - 5) The last quarter was filled with action, but no goals anymore. Penalties will determine the winner here as well! 12h40 - Penalties HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 1 - 0 1 - 1 (2 - 1) 0 - 1 (2 - 2) 1 - 0 (3 - 2) 1 - 1 (4 - 3) The HMS Royal Oak Team won the shoot-outs!! Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 0 - 1 1 - 0 (1 - 1) 0 - 1 (1 - 2) 0 - 0 (1 - 2) 0 - 1 (1 - 3) What a disaster for the Onondaga! The stress became master of the players, resulting in some serious gaps in the air during the penalties. What a shame! 12h - results HMS Royal Oak Team (COR) - Prancing Pontelli Platfeet (ESL) 2 - 2 Penalties: 4 - 3 The HMS Royal Oak Team once again showed the world they have some of the best strikers, only missing one penalty. The losing Pontelli Platfeet received a huge applause from the crowd and may leave the tournaments with their heads up. Onondaga Leather Ball Team (NAT) - Buffed Shirtless Athletes (SR) 5 - 5 Penalties: 1 - 3 The Onondaga not placing themself for the finals must be one of the most shocking events in the recent history. Cudo's to the Sea Rats for eliminating the natives most valuable player, making the Onondaga passing less successfull. For the third match in a row, the Buffed Shirtless Athletes needed extra time.
