  1. Hahaha, so many funny details and jokes you put into this build! Great job Bodi!
  2. "Darn, my letter will have missed Don Montoya as he is now on the island. Messenger, send a new copy to Don Montoya wherever he may be!" To Consul Isaac Montoya, It appears my letter will have crossed you on your journey to our island. I know you are very busy with the negotations, but I also heard some accusations you made during the negotations, that had been explained in my letter. Again, I don't doubt the noble cause of Corrington to help the people from Malto, but if it turns out that Nova Malto is nothing more then a rebellion against Eslandola (if King's Harbour would declare its own independence, you would call it a rebellion, wouldn't you?), than I really wonder if Corrington hasn't broken the anti-agression pact it signed with Eslandola on the very same day. Supporting rebels and sending troops to the defence of the rebelling city, is an act of aggression. But this is al theoretically, isn't it? All Captain Lorenzini, as you said an honourable man, wants is safety and stability for its people, something Eslandola offers to all its citizens... And as I believe the words of a nation I believer are allies of MAESTRO (due the alliance we have with MAESTRO COR) are true, I vouch for Captain Lorenzini towards my fellow Eslandolans. He has my word that he will be safe in every corner of Eslandola as a citizen of Eslandola. Lord Maximilian Damaximus Prince of Garvey Eslandola Colonianl Council member for the Prio Seas Region @Bregir
  3. What a wonderfull vessel Faladrin! This is a true pleasure for the eyes! You have gone a long way from your first attempts that I saw in Antwerpen to this beautifull vessel!

  5. Au contraire I started writing and posted this proposal before I saw your concerns
  6. Dear members of the Colonial Council, Consul Don Isaac Montoya expressed one of his concerns considering the situation in Malto: Captain Lorenzini is a well-known officer who was the architect behind the surprise assault on the Garvey mortars. I talked this through with Garvey and they have no hard feelings against this Captain and even applauded him for his cunning and bravery. As I always respect my enemies when they proof themself on the battlefied and as Captain Lorenzini refused to execute the Genocide orders ordered by Mardier, I would like to propose the regularisation of Captain Lorenzini as Eslandolan citizen, having all the rights and responsibilities. As Eslandola Citizen, his past will be no reason for prosecution and he will be honoured by his fellow Eslandolan citizens. As a loyal subject of Eslandola, he will be able to stay mayor of Malto and granted safety against actions of his former nation (Mardier). We will garantee the safety of Captain Lorenzini, Malto and all of its citizens, no matter what background they have. So this is my proposal. @Elostirion: could you start the voting?
  7. To Consul Don Isaac Montoya, As William Guilder already responded, all official negotiations will be conducted with a representative of Eslandola's Continental Council. I am member ot the Colonial Council, but not a member of the Continental Council. The said "assessment" was simply to show how foolish it is to deny Eslandola the access to their own (legal) settlement. It was not a request for surrender, nor a threat. My diplomatic advisor his feelings are a bit hurt, and thus he would like to point you at some quotes in the works of your officers: It is true that Corrington did not participate in military action itself, still they funded Mardier. My advisors name is William Ontop by the way. It was wrong to call Corrington an ally of Mardier. If we really thought this was the case, the Eslandolan response would have been much more hostile. But funding a nation and then afterwards saying you are protecting its citizens against the former nation is dual. We are well aware who Captain Lorenzini is, as he made himself a note-worthy enemy of Eslandola during the war. But as long as he can proof he hasn't participated at the human genocide himself, we respect him as previous enemy and we would have been more than delighted to let him become an Eslandolan Citizen. Brave and cunning people like him are more than needed in everyone's army. So I will ask the Eslandolan Council to make Captain Lorenzini an Eslandolan Citizen with full rights, in charge of Malto (as Eslandolan settlement). We do appreciate your effort to protect Malto against plundering and chaos, and I can agree that as long as there is no stable government established by Eslandola, Corrington troops can keep helping establish law and order. The status of (Nova) Malto should be clear. It is a legal Eslandolan settlement and it will always be a part of the Eslandolan Empire. So I can't really understand how Eslandolan troops are considered to be foreign troops? MAESTRO will make America Lakor great again, and my batallion arrived today to aid the troops who stayed there. It will take a while before Lakor is as flourishing as it was in its Pre-Mardier days. The cautiousness and negative feelings towards Corrington (and Oleon for that matter) will fade away over time as it was not you who raided their villages, but they do blame you for funding Mardier. As a last thing, I would like to confess that the reaction of Eslandola might have been overwhelming, but I do hope you see that if Mardier, Oleon or whoever suddenly marches in into one of your legal settlements and declares the settlement to be independent and unwelcome for Corrington, you would have reacted the same, if not worse. If it was not Corrington who did this bold move, Eslandola would have declared war to protect its territory. So thanks to our fantastic relations (in the past and hopefully in the future as well), war has been avoided. Lord Maximilian Damaximus Prince of Garvey Eslandolan Colonial Council member for the Prio Seas Region
  8. My opinion (as one of those impulsive players taking stuff OOC instead of IC sometimes): Lego is a hobby like all other hobbies are. Yes, I myself use lego to distract my brains as well. But being in the council of the local Lego Club, I know that Lego is for a lot of people more a matter of life and death. The drama I encounter every week, created between different AFOL's is just too stupid to put in words. It just is a hobby... But it are those AFOL's that are part of Eurobricks, so in every community, how small it might be, you will find drama. GoH was a lot of drama as well in the beginning (I can't speak for now anymore as I am not a part of GoH anymore). Knowing a lot BoBS people in real life, I can say the reason they dropped out is a mix of everything. Let's make a small list: One dropped out because he is tired of the real life drama the LEGO hobby brought along (has something to do with a new LUG). He went back to his old passion and is selling all his Lego now Two dropped out because they were tired of some people taking the game too seriously, spoiling the fun for their teammates. They still build pirate stuff, but outside BOBS. They both are very active at other EB-RPG games, so this may have played a minor part in it. One dropped out because he still doesn't understand the rules. He still builds pirate stuff, but he found another passion as well. One became lesser active as he simply is not a RPG guy One dropped out because he could not combine it with GoH. He plans on returning however. One dropped out of the EGS because he was fed up with leadership decisions And there are a few who have lost track of everything that happened and find it too dificult to jump on the train again. (my suggestion: a diary-topic) It is a decent list, but it are cases that happens everywhere. Let's be honest, there are a lot of different RPG's at EB. And BoB's really boosted the pirate forum again, so it is a big success... BoBs is a mini-community, and as long as we all are humans and not robots, there will be clashes. It is too bad, absolutely, but we have to live with that and enjoy BoBS as much as we can as it is intended to be entertaining... Back to the start, I am one of the guys who stands on barricades when I think something is not fair for the game, and I probably have many enemies (or people that would not find it too bad if I disappeared). But I really love this game and every aspect of it. It is full of possibilities and it is up to us to discover them... And when it clashes, we can always work it out somehow...
  9. June builds: Another belated party | Maxim I | Eslandola Palacio De Desarrallo Regional | Maxim I | Eslandola
  10. Previous part: another belated party Wether the Royal Engineers were inside or outside Malto, those rumours can not be confirmed nor denied. Time will tell... Anyway, the Royal Engineers helped where they were really needed. The officers turned an old estate just outside Malto to their new headquarters to co-ordinate the aid. The name "Palacio De Desarollo Regional" literally means "Palace of Regional Development". A quick build, C&C is welcome :)
  11. As said on Flickr: daamned :p I spent a small fortune to assemble your sig fig, now I can't use it anymore... Amazing way to depict the different stories!

In the center of the island towers a tall volcano that occasionally shakes the Island.Rumors: The Natives of this Island fear the deeper waters to the south. Mayor: King Azte Nek (NPC) Trade Value: 0 Town Bank: 0 Who can own property in Lakor: Everyone Who can freebuild in Lakor: Every Native friendly man. Description : In the past centuries, the Azclaxcan expanded their influence over the island, controlling everything North of the terrible vulcano. Lakor was the cultural capital of the Azclaxcan empire and it concurred with Mehit in the east, which became a mayor meltingpot of different tribes. Since Mardier controlled Isla de la Medio, the Azclaxcans had been derived from their freedom. Many Azclaxcans were forced into labour in the Mardierian cities. What once was a wealthy tribe, was now a tribe operating under the radar. During the Mardier-Eslandola war, the Mardierian forces raided their own settlements in search of gold. Whole settlements were burned to the ground. Many natives could flee in the underground holes they made to protect their riches. When Eslandolans forces arrived at Lakor, the explorer Jan Zwartbaard discovered the natives with the help of Berelli natives. Jan Zwartbaard, a MAESTRO member, ordered the soldiers to start rebuilding Lakor into its former glory. Properties: Size for EGS purposes - For now : hamlet Residences: Factories: Artisans: Commerce: Art and Culture: Educational: Plantations: Mines: Forts: Other Buildings: Ruins of Lakor
  14. Previous part: "A Belated party" Jan Zwartbaard returned to Trador with Prince Azte Hek, crownprince of the Azclaxcan tribes. His hate towards Mardierians was still alive and kicking. Especially after their visit to Mehit on their way home. Although Lakor was the Azclaxcan capital, Mehit was the most important village of the Azclaxcan kingdom. The coastal village is a melting pot between the landbased Azclaxcans and the seafaring Mehuãtajir. But just like Lakor, Mehit was burned to the ground by Mardier troops. Jan Zwartbaard found some survivors in Mehit as well and promised to send help. It was only back in Trador when Jan Zwartbaard heard about the recent events in Malto. Discussing the faith of the Azclaxcans with Lord Maximilian Damaximus, the latter decided the moment came to put the MAESTRO Regiment in Trador in play. The King of Garvey, residing in his property in Trador after the coronation of Lord Maximilian Damaximus as Prince of Garvey, wanted to make up for the heavy bombardements on Malto by his vessels, so he prepared the Royal Garvey Engineers to aid the people of Malto. So only a few hours after the arrival of Jan Zwartbaard, the Colour of the Wind, Purple Reign II, Purple Rain and 2 other Xebecs belonging to Garvey sent sail to Malto to help its citizens. Filled with food, resources and supplies and strong veterans who were eager to help the people of Malto. After dropping 1 Batallion of Elite MAESTRO soldiers at Mehit, for its rebuilding, the 2 vessels continued their trip and arrived the next day. 1 Batallion of Elite MAESTRO soldiers, 1 company of Royal MAESTRO Engineers and 1 company of Royal Garvey Engineers landed close to Malto as Corrington vessels did not let the Eslandolan vessels come closer to Malto. It was a pleasure to see however how much trouble the Corrington vessels had with manouvering in the shallow waters around Malto. Luckily the Eslandolans choosed to sail in Xebecs... The denial of passage should have been the first sign of the arrogancy of Corrington, but Lord Maximilian Damaximus still trusted his red friends and thought it would just be a standard procedure... It was when the rescuers marched towards Malto that they were stopped by a Corrington Commander... "Hold on" the Corrington officer yelled. "If you take another step forward, I shall be required by duty to open fire. I am under orders to protect the neutrality of this settlement with any means necessary, and I am already stretching my authority by meeting you thus. However, my orders insist upon the necessity of maintaining good relations with Eslandola and I understand that negotiations for the status of Nova Malto are underway." Sighing and sending a distraught glance at his Eslandian and Garvey counterpart, he continues: "I will ask you the same I asked your MAESTRO captain yesterday and I appeal to your own sense of duty, in that you may understand that I cannot ignore my orders. I shall have my orderly appoint you a suitable camp site outside the range of my guns, near water, and ensure that you are well provisioned, should you not have brought the means to be self-sustaining. There, you will await negotiations under the flag of truce. I appeal to your sense of right and wrong. Please do not force me to act in what is certain to lead to a diplomatic incidence with ramifications we cannot even begin to imagine... " Lord Maximilian Damaximus was stumbled for a moment. How dares Corrington denying access to an Eslandolan village? "Dear officer from Corrington, as you said yourself, an Eslandolan Regiment is stationed closeby. I have to admit this is new information for me, but a small calculation counts a total of 450 Eslandolan soldiers close to Malto, with a full Batallion closeby at Mehit and a Royal Fortress at Puerto Desafio. That is a little bit more than your 1 Battalion currently residing in Malto, isn't it? But I have always respected Corrington and my relations I have with your wonderfull nation, so I am not going to let things escalate. However, I do have a simple question: Why are the people of Malto seeking protection to an ally of Mardier? It is Corrington who aided Mardier defending the island and who helped Mardier funding their coffers. So why are you claiming the title of "liberator of Malto" when all you did was defending and funding the ones who burned down their own city? Next to me you may see Prince Azte Hek, crownprince of the Azclaxcans, one of the native tribes living on this island. Their capital is just a few miles further and they are massacred by Mardierian troops. They have a bigger right to hate you, Corringtonlander, than you have the right to defend the victims of the Mardierian genocide. Now I have a second question as well, a bit less simple... If you are here to help the people of Malto, and you are here without any self interest, why don't you accept the help we are providing? I got 2 companies of Engineers with me to help the people of Malto. If I look around, there still are a lot of people without a decent roof, without the minimum requirements to live peacefully. One should wonder if Corrington really is helping the people of Malto for the sake of humanity, or because Corrington hopes to expand their Empire. By not letting us in, helping the people who need it the most, Corrington shows its true face to the world..." On the left, the ROYAL MAESTRO Engineers under General Whitedragon... On the right, King Leopaldis IV of Garvey with his Royal Garvey Engineers... Lord Maximilian Damaximus spoke once again "I understand you can not give an aswer to my questions yourself, but think about my words... Thanks to your denial of access, this MAESTRO batallion will have to take a longer tour to arrive at Lakor, and since we are needed there, they should better hurry... The Royal Engineers still want to help rebuilding Malto and the hinterland" And so the troops splitted ways. The last word wasn't said about this... The Royal MAESTRO Engineers (1 company owned by MAESTRO) Thanks a lot for viewing and reading! @Bregir: those 2 questions are for you, I hope you can answer them... Oh and don't play the "Corrington is a democracy blablabla", when you have put us for an ultimatum, your own words were "hoping for a fast answer"... Anyway, I am looking forward to your anwer this evening
  15. Okay, thanks Ayrlego for your honest answer, let's start with my response: I hear you, I marry next week, so this timing is far from ideal for me as well... Nothing to say here, I appreciate you take the blame on yourself :) I myself always support the weaker sides as well (if not being involved in something), so I do understand why you supported Mardier. This was the goal since the beginning that people would build for Mardier. But ofcourse, you can't build for Mardier and then say in the end you had nothing to do with Mardier. Corrington supported Mardier from the second challenge onwards, so you can't just say this never happened. If Corrington supported Eslandola the whole time, maybe we would have been more gratefull (Corrington entries: 4 pro-Eslandola - 8 pro-Mardier). You did win an island because of your awesome entry, but as you may have noticed, Corrington has the largest empire. So you could simply welcome any refuges from Isla de la Victoria on one of your islands. Here you are wrong: And these rewards were well known since the beginning of Challenge V: --- Even it was very exhausting, it was a lot of fun for us as well :) Here I do want to point out the lore that was set before the events. Eslandola was already at war with Mardier before we established our settlement on the island. So yes, it was an act of aggression of Eslandola and we knew this would probably lead to some kind of war with Mardier. I just wonder if you considered a possible war between Corrington and Eslandola when you claimed Malto? About Garvey: the same way Oleon made an alliance with Mardier, we made an alliance with Garvey. Was this some kind of hocus pocus? Not really, Garvey was already at war with Mardier prior to the events of KPA. See my previous answer The justification isn't right. You blame Eslandola for not taking care of those people, while we already started rebuilding villages (see my challenge V entry)...
  16. Wait a minute, this is all my fault I inspired Corrington with my Challenge V build and story (about rebuilding the Azclaxcan settlement)...
  17. Dear Don Isaac Montoya, Impulsive as I am, I am responding to you without councelling with my fellow Eslandolans. So let's use my title of Prince of Garvey now instead of citizen of Eslandola and discuss your recent actions as citizen of Garvey. The secretary of state of Eslandola will respond to your message in name of Eslandola. The war with Mardier was a bloody one with a lot of casualties on both sides. Many people went to the bottom to do their duty. Once the war is over, they needed a well-deserved break, so they can contribute again at full strength. Take myself for an example. I had to interfere in a wedding, co-ordinate a beach landing, co-ordinate the counter-blockade fleets, took over the Tuna Fishing Industry, captured a notorious 4th rate of the line and helped aiding and rebuilding a native settlement, raided by Mardier. So it is true that nor Garvey, nor Eslandola managed to reach Malto the past weeks to help those people, simply because it is the furthest place from Fuerto Unido, our base. But saying we did not help the victims of this war, is a terrible lie. Look again to the initiatives we took in the Azclaxcan village. We really appreciate the Corrington medical and supportal help, but the idea lives in Garvey that Corrington only acts in its best interests. You did co-operated with Mardier, resulting in a huge amount of wealth for Mardier. Corrington is even awarded for this with the new Island 14 on the seas. I do applaud your initiative for constructing a neutral harbour in the Brick Seas, so why don't you choose island 14 for this? As this is an island you deserved by helping Mardier, the enemy of Eslandola and Garvey... Why don't you make it up with Eslandola and Garvey by converting this island to your Utopical "Neutral Harbour". Again, it is a wonderfull initiative you take, but why are you broaching about a demilitarised and neutral port, when WTC soldiers are marching in? Do I have to remind you to the political view of WTC: In my opinion, this is not so neutral as Corrington wants the world to believe. I have always enjoyed my ties with Corrington, even after their dubious actions. Eslandola founds a village on Berelli, a week later, Corrington founds one. Eslandola founds a settlement on Isla De La Victoria (before it was known there were other settlements), a few days later Corrington sends troops and sets up a camp. The aftermath said they were sent to help Eslandola (as it became clear Mardier was well presented on the island), but let's be honest, all Corrington wanted to do is to create a second Berelli. Corrington is the nation with the most islands and biggest landmasses in the Brickseas. Why the need to step on the toes of your friends? Why the urge to be involved in every situation, making it more complex... Kind regards, Prince Maximilian Damaximus of Garvey Edit: about Corrington being vital in the victory of Eslandola. Number of entries pro-Eslandola: 4 (all of them in the first challenge) Number of entries pro-Mardier: 8
  18. Cool way to start your Chapter 2! Sinbad is already on his way to become the next most notorious pirate of the Brick Seas
  19. Bad idea because the past thought me people give feedback in the faction thread instead of the thread of the MOC
  20. Sweet build Legostone :D Congratz on your new badges well deserved!
  21. No money anymore? Noooooo!! Just kidding, living in Belgium where (mostly socialist) politicians are paid for doing nothing in fake agencies and earning 20k a year for attending 2 meetings a year in associations without lucrative purposes (one of them with the goal of helping homeless people), I totally agree with you... Even the 10 db's could be 5 db's IMHO...
  22. Hooray for Legostone! And thanks Garm for your work :)
  23. Yeey :D Married with a Princess of Eslandola and now the title of Prince of Garvey Maybe I should restore the crown of Eslandola in ERA II...
  24. Yes :D when can we start bidding? :D
  25. We do applaud your enthousiasm! But keep in mind the EB rules :) As stated by Phred, the new ship classes have been determined. And I fear that even if you posted your proposals 1.5 years ago, they would not have been included. It are very beautifull vessels, but they are a bit too modern for a 16th-18th century world (all your vessels are 20th century).
