For Nightwing I use this piece in Black. http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=11&itemID=92614 It suits his New 52 style appearance a lot better than the sleepy head hair.

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
Sam892 replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
If you didn't want to use customer services, you could look on Bricklink. Sure you will have to pay for it but it might be the only other way of getting it. -
I will have hooked on a feeling stuck in my head for the next few weeks. That trailer looks awesome, can't wait to see this film.

Personally while I hope I'm wrong, I'm guessing the set has been delayed. LEGO have had to go and design a new load of DC sets for next year since Superman vs Batman has been delayed. It would be a lot easier and take a lot off pressure off if LEGO moved the green lantern set to 2015. That way they have one less DC set to rush through the design process.

ASDA have the creative building cube for £15 tomorrow in stores. Which is pretty good value for 600 pieces. Some cool parts, and some cool colours. http://m.direct.asda.com/LEGO-Creative-Building-Cube---10681/000772929,default,pd.html Not sure if the deal is only available for tomorrow, they also have the Star Wars micro fighters for £7 aswell.

Looking at the printing on the Green Lantern torch, it looks extremely similar to something LEGO would produce. There's none of the all round boot printing that TT games use, instead they've printed the upper legs on the front. LEGO tends to do this which to me at least indicates that this is based on a pre existing mini figure, not made by TT games. It's still possible that whatever set we were to get Green Lantern in was delayed, with the change up with next years sets. Personally I prefer this boot printing as the all round printed boots look like Customs and not like LEGO designs.

I'm guessing looking at the X-jet that LEGO decided to use dark blue, as if it was black it would be very similar to the Batman sets. It's still an awesome set.

A special MoC section sounds cool, but it would be a mammoth task moving all pre existing MoC topics there. It would take weeks maybe a couple of months to do.
-
Ye it was about 8 months /9 months before you joined. I personally thought it was really good, there was a recreate a comic cover competition, a weekly caption competition and a avatar competition along with a few other bits, but I can't remember fully what they were. Even if we changed the theme to something like TMNT or Disney ( all the Pixar, Princesses and LR,POTC and PP) it would be great to see the forum get the spot light.
-
I'd also love to see some more events. Personally I'd love to see a build Springfield community build, when the Minifigure series is released. Maybe a couch gag competition as well. I loved it a year and a half ago when we had Superheroes month and would love to see a return of Superheroes month. I think we certainly need more community builds in Licenced.

I also like the Bank truck, but I feel it needs smaller wheels. Apart from that it seems perfect.

It's an issue because it people will most likely be posting the same comment in both threads.
-
We've been over quite a bit, but basically, there isn't enough licence themes at the moment to sustain a Licenced forum. If you took away superheroes, the only ongoing themes you have are, TMNT, Disney Princesses and what looks like a one off, simpsons theme.

The problem with this is that it only solves half the problem, and creates new ones. So let's say DC fans stay in the DC topic and Marvel fans stay in the their topic. That's fine but then you have 3 groups of people ( people who like both companies equally, people who like both but favour DC and people who like both but favour Marvel) who are then inconvenienced. A large number of people are having to go into two threads to essentially post the same comments. Both these themes are incredibly similar. Both in price points, make up of sets, number of pieces/ figures in sets. Just look at this year, Batman vs penguin £11.99, 2 figures, around 100 pieces Spider man vs Electro, £11.99, 2 figures around 100 pieces Bat copter, £19.99, 3 figures around 200 pieces Spidey armored van, £19.99, 3 figures around 200 pieces The line up for both side is incredibly similar, and when you take into account how LEGO alternates between marvel and DC, the whole Marvel vs DC thing will always be there. Sure it won't be a fan war but people will always here about the other companies sets. Someone will always say that set looks terrible, the vehicle looks crap I prefer the DC £20 set to Marvels £20 set. People will always be comparing Marvel sets to DC and DC to Marvel, the problem now is that DC fans will be pissed of that people are comparing Marvel sets in the DC thread and vise versa. Also now the mods need to moderate 2 bickering threads instead of 1. I feel the majority of Superhero fans aren't loyal to a single brand and pick and choose from each company. So to split a topic to me at least only seems to serve the minority, and create more work for everyone else.

What your saying is because you don't like what the current wave of Marvel sets is based on, you want them put into a seperate topic? The current Marvel products (2013&2014) are pretty equal, 6 Movie sets ( Iron man and Guardians ) and 7 TV themed. What happens in 2015 when we most likely get a ton of movie stuff? Can they then go back in with DC? Very few people like every set in a wave or year, but you can't just pretend they don't exist.

Yes and no, MODOK never really stands up so it will always look strange with him standing. I've only seen him sitting down, which unfortunately requires the standard legs. When the MODOK figure is sitting he looks alright.

A lot of the problems come from posting in the wrong forum. So many members in the Superheroes discussion, post wish lists or stuff that doesn't have any relevance. As an example I'm fed up of talking about why LEGO should make sets based around Young Justice or B:TAS or Amazing Spider-man 2 or what ever. Posts like how great would it be if LEGO made a Winter solider sets, should go in the future Superheroes topic. One of the biggest problems at least for me is when someone posts in a forum something along the lines of ' haven't been on for a while, is there any news? I can't be bothered to look through the last 8 pages'. Mainly because it kills the existing discussion and then the next 10 comments are people essentially saying 'nothing new'. Like before we got this topic, a whole page of posts were about suggestions for a new banner and splitting the forum. Which while I have no problem discussing don't belong in Superheroes topic. That's a whole page maybe two of comments that are really frustrating, especially when we are in toy fair season. Also complaining about the Brickshow. I know they suck and are unprofessional, but do we really need to hear about it everytime someone posts one of there reviews? That's another 5-6 posts. Lastly if we cut all the Animated show vs animated show, or the why does 'insert superhero' need a 'insert vehicle' when he can fly/web swing/ teleport/ whatever debates it would free a lot of room. If we could cut out all the non essential posts, I know the Mods do step in so really it's down on us. But I think everyone would be suprised at how much easier it would be to read topics.
-
Agreed TMNT, The Simpsons and Disney Princesses don't come close. First off I haven't seen a single review for any of the sets in those themes, or many mocs. The Licenced forum at that point would just be the discussion topics and future set topics, with one or two HP and Indiana Jones mocs.
-
Personally I would like to keep the superheroes topic how it is. I mean we do get a huge amount of Superhero sets, so to have two separate discussions seems silly. We only got 4 DC sets this year which I feel doesn't really warrants a separate Thread. While some may argue that there are also 3 Duplo sets and a rumoured UCS tumbler I still feel two threads isn't needed. I mean we have photos of the Duplo sets and very few people have given them attention. So if we do get a tumbler that's 5 sets which doesn't really create enough discussion for a whole year. I also feel that in both threads people will be saying the same things. In July for example everyone in both threads will be talking about how much they hate Comic con exclusives. A lot of the posts will just be repeated. Superheroes isn't the only topic that has multiple branches, Star Wars has both Prequel Trilogy, original Trilogy, Clone Wars, Rebels and soon the Sequel Trilogy., yet they can except a single topic. There are posters in the Star Wars topic who aren't interested in Clone Wars or Prequel stuff, but they don't moan and ask for two topics. Lastly I doubt two topics will stop the whole Marvel vs DC thing. People will still go between topics and comment how they like the marvel sets more than the DC ones or whatever. As someone who buys both Marvel and DC, I can't see the point of two topics. It will just inconvenience members who like both and really just be pointless. I highly doubt it will solve anything. On the point of the banner I would love to see a new refreshing banner. Perhaps with a mix of superheroes, turtles and Simpsons.

I think someone who saw the sets already said that Groot is brick built. Most likely so you can blow him up and replant him from a shard haha.

Maybe you should try PMs instead of ignoring Mod advice and continuing to post in the thread, comments that are fuelling the fire and are off topic.
