  1. I did almost the same thing today, except I bought a Lego Movie Minifigure instead of the Pick a brick. The steam roller is pretty cool but the planes a bit lacking.
  2. I'm gunna guess most likely Hal for the simple reason that until recently the people in charge of making DC movies at WB, didn't know there was more than one GL. Wasn't until some asked at a convention that they dropped that bombshell.
  3. Well there's A.R.G.U.S ( Advanced Research group uniting Superhumans ) who are run by Amanda Waller and Steve Trevor.
  4. I prefer the full length pants, with just the blue hips he looks strange. Maybe if there was boot printing it would look fine, but with just blue hips he looks like MM is in to bondage gear.
  5. Not sure we need this topic, and like most VS discussions it will only lead to fighting, bickering and insults.
  6. Cuusoo already came out and said ideas based on existing licences won't happen.
  7. To be honest I thought Justin Hammer was one of the better parts of Iron man 2. Whiplash is the worst out of the two, Mickey Rouke was so wooden and such a stereotype. Marvel desperately needs better villains, any most of there iconic villains are at other studios. At the moment the MCU really only has Loki. Iron monger, Killian, Whiplash and Maleketh are dead Abomination is in Prison and Red Skull is MIA, hopefully Winter Solider and Ultron kick megablocks. Although I'm guessing after WS the Winter Solider will be more of an antihero.
  8. Martian Manhunter looks awesome. Hopefully my nearest LEGO store doesn't run out before next weekend. I'll most likely get the steam roller or a couple of Marvel sets. Either way my JL needs to add Manhunter to its ranks.
  9. Is it is arrow outfit? I thought it was his current comic outfit, mainly because in the show he paints his eyes instead wearing a mask ( until Barry Allen gave him a mask in December).
  10. There's this from last year http://brickfanatics.co.uk/lego-2014-rumor-mill-super-heros-update/ but really apart from this and the LED coming to light ( sorry couldn't help the pub haha). There's also someone on Instagram who claim to have seen a GL minifigure that's coming next year.
  11. Has anyone spotted the juniors Batcave in the UK yet? I'm looking at getting one for the MM promo with the Steam roller.
  12. I was under the impression that the Peggy Carter series will be set after WWII and continue where the one shot left off. It would revolve around the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D and star a lot of the Howling Commandos. At least that's the impression I got. I was thinking about this yesterday how post Avengers the quality of the one shots have increased ( not to say the originals were bad ) but most now serve as a pilot for a pilot. Item 47 was basically a pilot for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D ( the two bank robbers were meant to originally be lead characters in the show, but the actors dropped out), and the Agent Carter one shot for the Peggy Carter series in development. The only one that doesn't seem to follow this is All Hail the King, but I get the feeling they want to continue this story in either Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D or another Iron man film.
  13. Ye it £50 in the UK which is basically the steamroller and a small item.
  14. I would say based on other years that we won't see Martian Manhunter for a very long time. The past two years we've seen these figures nowhere outside the promo. The regular Minifigure Hulk won't appear in another set and Jor el won't either. Also since a LEGO are calling it an exclusive I don't think they have any plans to release he again in the near future.
  15. You can see Groot has some moss growing on him in the trailer. Maybe when he grows huge the moss grows too.
  16. Rockets main outfit is orange and black in the 'line up shots. The yellow outfit is the prison uniform at the Nova corps prison, you can see multiple inmates wearing the same. As only a short part of the film takes place in the prison, I'm assuming it's the orange outfit we will get. That's what it looks like to me in the set picture anyway.
  17. I finally got to see the film yesterday and really liked it. For the sequel, I'd love to see the Marvel characters interact with the DC ones. I know the Film was made by WB and most of the cameos were of WB properties ( Hobbit, Harry Potter and DC ), but WB did Make the LEGO Marvel game. It would just be interesting to see the JL interact with the Avengers, most likely not getting along and then getting along at the end. It would also be cool to see an anti master builders type group of all LEGO villains, maybe Shredder, Darth Vader, Sam Sinister, the Brickster, Joker, Lex Luthor, Voldemort, Blackbeard ect
  18. I'm guessing LEGO made Groot huge for a reason. That's probably a scene where Groot 'Groots out and grows like double the size'. Also I get the feeling from the trailer that Groot will explode and be refrozen from a Shard, mainly from the 'Rockets personal house plant'. If that's true it would be awesome if there's a potted plant in the back of the Guardians ship, as a little Easter egg in the set. I caved and grabbed the Riddler Chase last night. I think it's great, it's certainly my favourite Batmaobile, and Flash and Riddler are awesome. The Dragster could be better but it gets the job done, at worst the dragster contains some very interesting parts.
  19. I think it is 99.999999% sure that the green lantern won't be based on the LEGO Movie one. Mainly because that figure already exists and is a 2011 Comic Con exclusive that's limited to 1500 copies. Also he's based on the 2011 Green Lantern Movie that bombed. We already saw how the Merchandise for that film rotted on shelves, so I doubt LEGO will want to even reference the film suit. The LED figure looks a lot better and more 'Comic Booky' which is great a the rest of the JL is. The LED Lantern looks a like he does in the New 52, although his costume didn't really change at all during the relaunch.
  20. I really liked, Justice League Origins, it's a nice and refreshing. All the characters got represented nicely and dynamic of the team is great.
  21. Ye it has to be £50 or more £49.99 won't be enough. I usually get a Key ring or a Minfigure to push it over £49.99. Sometimes I'll even grab a small pick a brick cup or something.
  22. Ye it's on the March store calendar. Also in the UK it's £50 for MM and it's across all sets not just superheroes
  23. Sorry to double post this but Marvel just released this small little video that features Rocket's voice. Enjoy :)
  24. That's not true in the 90's there was Spider-man, X-men, Avengers, Hulk, Silver surfer, Fantastic Four and Ironman TV shows running at the same time. Admittedly only Spider-man and X-men lasted more than 2 seasons , but they were all set in the same world and cross over frequently. Let's be honest the intros are terrible, except Iron man and the X-men. Heres the other 2 I forgot to put in my original post. http://youtu.be/MIUe6psX-KM
  25. To me a lot of the times it turns into Lennon/McCartney. Neither would be a success without the other, and a lot of times the one would fix a problem for the other. Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby don't see the respect they deserve put few people do. DC are just as bad, especially when looking at Batman and Superman. It just happens unfortunately. I don't think Stan Lees a bad person to be honest he did essentially turn Marvel into a huge business, regardless of how much he wrote. I think it's partly the medias fault that they give Stan all the credit , there are interveiws out there where he does say characters are co created. A lot of the time the media doesn't care about someone who is a recluse like Ditko and go for the showman like Lee.
