  1. Over the last few days I've picked up the following sealed sets.....I think I'm done for a while -75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter (x2 at 50% off) -75135 Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor (x2 at 50% off) -10240 Red Five X-Wing (got it for RPP) -75048 Phantom (to go with my Ghost) -75097 Advent calendar 2015 ($30 MISB!) -75106 Imperial Assault Carrier (40% off) -75158 Rebel Combat Frigate (25% off)
  2. Thanks, just watched it. Oddly enough I'm planning on building the Ghost tonight. (Sadly I still need a Phantom V1, as I'm not willing to pay $50USD+ for one online.)
  3. After watching a couple of seasons of Rebels, I'd love to see a UCS Ghost and Phantom combo in a few years.
  4. It's hard to say for sure. Sometime there's people on the inside or with connections that do get info out to us, but Lego does change their plans for a variety of reasons. IMO, it doesn't make sense for them to release a UCS Snowspeeder considering that UCS Assault on Hoth was only released last year. Side note: (As mentioned by others previously) It would be great if Lego branded sets like AoH as "Ultimate Play Sets"...then they could release 1x UCS and 1x UPS per year.
  5. I was lucky to find a MISB 10227 B-Wing locally for just a few dollars over MSRP. I wasn't specifically looking for one, but just couldn't pass it up. I'm really surprised this set was only out for 1 year.
  6. #1: AT-ST: Finally! #2 Advent Calendar: Best one yet. Great micro builds and minifigs #3 Droid Escape Pod: Best one yet, great minifigs
  7. Sure, 8461 can be categorized as a "licensed" set. But one thing I don't like about this set is that it's really just 8458 with Williams stickers. Little to no cooperation between Lego and Williams that is. Whereas the recent licensed Technic sets involve collaboration between Lego and the companies to make a specific model. Example 42030: "Get up close to the giant Volvo L350F! Climb aboard the Volvo L350F! Developed in partnership with Volvo Construction Equipment, this meticulously detailed, fully remote-controlled model has all the features of Volvo’s largest real-life high-tech wheel loader."
  8. If Lego offered a UCS MF next year I would forgive them for the 2016 DS and Hoth UCS sets.
  9. In my years of opening up hundreds of Lego sets, I've only ever been missing pieces on two sets...both from the Technic line. Last year I was missing a common piece from 42043 Arocs (not a big deal), but recently I was missing a large critical piece from the 42056 Porsche 911 set. For the Porsche, I emailed my displeasure and customer service deposited 200 VIP points into my account. But later, they contacted me to indicate that the part is on back order. Thankfully they gave me even more VIP points....but I'm still pretty disappointed given the price I paid for the set. As well, I've had Lego send a replacement sticker sheet for the Yellow Cargo Train that got mangled (before they put instructions and stickers in cardboard).
  10. Technically "Racers" line. Not Technic...despite being made of Technic parts.
  11. Yea, saw that set on Brickset. Unfortunately, it has some very rare white parts that make it very expensive to Bricklink. Maybe with future Technic releases the parts will become available. I'm not going out of my way to get this set right now. Also, I suppose you could even consider the Technic Star Wars sets as "licensed" as well....
  12. I'm in the process of trimming down my Technic collection and was considering keeping only the "licensed" sets as a sub-series (in addition to a handful of my other favorite Technic sets). It's my understanding that these are the licensed sets, besides the Racers cars from several years back. -8110 Mercedes Benz Unimog U 400 -42030 Volvo L350L -42043 Mercedez Benz Arocs 3245 -42053 Volvo EW160E -42054 Claas Xerion 5000 -42056 Porsche 911 GT3 -42063 BMW R100GS (on release 2017) Am I forgetting any? Does anyone else collect this sub-theme?
  13. So, when should we be seeing the 75144 Snowspeeder on the shelves? May 2017?
  14. I managed to get one of those $199.99 CDN BWEs last week...amazing deal. Today I snagged a mint sealed 8110 Unimog for the original MSRP ($250CDN)!
  15. Just finished building this great set. Strangely, I'm missing an orange 64683 (panel fairing #3), yet have an extra orange 87080 (fairing #1). I checked and checked again and this is the case. Very disappointed with this, especially considering the price and "prestige" of this set.... I realize that Lego will swiftly send me another, but this is quite the let down given that I have been waiting months to have sufficient time to build this set. Update: I attempted to order the part but it's out of stock. Looks like other people may be experiencing the same issue! Update 2: Lego customer service got back to me within a few minutes. The part is on its way and they have deposited 200 VIP points into my account for my troubles.
  16. UCS Tie Fighter for 30% off.
  17. A Venator UCS would do well; it's a good looking ship.
  18. Right now Ewok Village is my default favorite as this is the set that got me into SW Lego and the first SW I built. (I do have the UCS Sandcrawler and Slave-1 sitting in my closet waiting to be built...so this opinion could change) Worst set IMO is 75098 Assault on Hoth. So much potential, yet disappointment all around.
  19. 75092 Naboo Starfighter (30% off)
  20. Added a UGS Slave 1 to the collection today.
  21. 75105 MF @ 30% off. Couldn't resist.
  22. Another vote for Ewok battle pack.
  23. Good point and thanks. I am keeping an eye out for a a decent deal on a sealed or build/displayed mint Battle of Endor set. I'm holding off on building the AT-STs right now. If I find an Endor set, these might go into the "investing" closet.
  24. It's really too bad Lego didn't offer this as a limited-run set for the AFOLs. I suppose the reality is it would probably confuse parents as to the compatibility with current PF train sets.
  25. Picked up two 75153 AT-ST sets today. A local shop had them at BOGO 50% off. They should fit nicely with my Ewok Village.
