  1. That's a special event for a flagship store. I predict that each store will get a few for sale, with more coming in each week.
  2. I am looking to find a good home for my 10019 Rebel Blockade Runner. The outer "sleeve box" is a little banged up, but the inner black and white box is in great shape. All interior bags and the two sub-boxed are sealed. Includes the original genuine instructions and sticker sheet (although I recommend not using the stickers as they are 17+ years old an may not stick very well...there's lots of high-quality repo sets available on ebay and bricklink). Asking $1111.11 USD. Will ship anywhere, but we'd need to chat about shipping costs.
  3. Right now, there's three primary reasons holding me back from purchasing on day-1: 1) There's no special release promo or first edition; 2) I have no idea where I would display it. I haven't built my Sydney Opera House for the same reason. Luckily I have been able to find a place for my SSD; and 3) I have a huge backlog of sets to built...three of which are SW UCS.
  4. I like this MOC: https://www.flickr.com/photos/40739570@N00/sets/72157651617795529/
  5. I was really hoping for some sort of train station, but with the recent reveal of the WV Train Station that train has left the station... Given that the Assembly Square is a larger (and more expensive) than average modular building, I see them going back to the 2000 piece range for this year's offering. Also, as for retirements I wonder if we'll see PC and the PR go this year.
  6. Whoa, blast from the past! I recently picked up one of these sets with sealed bags/inner boxes. I'm surprised this set doesn't get as much love as some of the older UCS sets. Thanks for the review. Since there's no photos of the original bag breakdown I will snap some photos when I eventually get around to building this set.
  7. I'd be happy with Tower Bridge/Big Ben scale.... I wonder when Lego will release another large world landmark given that Big Ben was only introduced last year.
  8. As someone who owns the Sydney Opera House, Big Ben, and Tower Bridge (and currently Bricklinking the Eiffel Tower), I'd love to see a large sized 4000+ piece Neuschwanstein Castle. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/65306bf4-74c9-424b-969c-818bd28ec3e9 But highly unlikely given that we have the Disney castle on the shelves... Edit: and obviously I'd like to see another Creator Expert train of any sorts.
  9. I'm in a similar situation, but I finally popped my SW bubble last year when Ewok Village and Sandcrawler were on sale during Black Friday. Fast forward 9 months later and I have 9x USC SW sets in my collection plus a variety of other small, medium, and large sets from the last decade or so. I avoided the SW theme for so long, but there's just been so many good sets. I suppose the release of Ep VII, R1, and the upcoming movies have fueled my interest...
  10. For some reason I'm really looking forward to the "UCS" BB8 set. I'm not a big fan of BB8 and the build looks very repetitive, but something about the uniqueness of the set is intriguing.
  11. I snagged a MISB 10225 UCS R2 for just slightly over the original retail price. I'm really looking forward to building it and pairing with the upcoming BB8!
  12. Tough one, but I'll go with the Chief.
  13. I finally picked up Assault on Hoth last night from Amazon.ca for $192CDN ($202-$10 promo code)...about $150USD. While I disagree with the UCS branding, I found that this set was a good way to get a variety of Hoth-iness to my collection as the only "snow planet" set I currently have is 75138 Hoth Attack from last year.
