I've been significantly reducing my SW collection over the past few months and have only been keeping the sets I consider to be "minifig scale"...or close to it. Of some of the current sets on sale right now, would you consider any of these to be minifig scale? Any other honorable mentions I'm missing (besides UCS S1 and MF)? [REVIEW] 42083 - Bugatti Chiron
eliminator replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Fantastic review. 50/50 chance I will be picking this set up tomorrow (or just wait until the holiday season). At first, I was disappointed with the Porsche but then grew to love it. -

[MOC] [INSTRUCTIONS] UCS Tantive IV - CR-90 Corvette
eliminator replied to Kit Bricksto's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I had a 10019 years ago. Built, displayed, and loved. Then sold it off during my "Lego purge". Then managed to get a sealed one last year, but after doing more research on the Tantive IV, I decided to sell it off as the dimensions bothered me so much. (Plus, I do have the 10198 version.) I could be going out on a limb here, but it appears the UCS 10019 is actually based on a CR70, not a CR90>?! (Photo: CR90 top, CR70 bottom) -

Incredible work! The inaccuracies in 10019 bothered me so much that I sold it! -

Incredible work. I'm a huge fan of the Ghost. Any idea how much it would cost to BL the parts? (not that I'm going to do it, just curious)- 67 replies

Looks like a great set, and perhaps a slightly new direction for the modular line. I wonder which designer will be doing next year's building?

Why not just get any colour baseplate and cover with white plates and bricks? It would give the display some snow texture. Add in some grey and brown tiles for landscape effect.

Technic 2018 Set Discussion
eliminator replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As someone who now only collects licensed Technic sets, 2018 looks to be a huge year with the Mack truck, Volvo, and possibly a super-car. I look forward to more information coming our way. -

My store is also informing customers of a 10% restocking fee for the Falcon. Seems a little heavy handed... -

Side note: what's the best way to remove the handle and wheel from the outer box without making a mess? -

I was out of town for the last week and missed out on the launch. Thankfully my wife made it down to our local store yesterday (second in line) for the restock and brought one home for me! -

I chatted with some of the staff at my local Lego Store. They indicated that additional shipments are inbound and will be trickling in over the coming weeks...and anticipate some stock for 01 Oct. However, given what happened the other day I wonder if the online back-orders will now take precedent over scheduled stock shipments to the stores? -

Still says 01 Oct for me as well, but the 14 Sep is "early access" that I'm sure will probably show up on 13/14 Sep. Not sure how phones are sold in Australia, but in Canada most people "finance" the cost of their phone over the term of their 2-3 year contract with their mobile phone provider. -

Hmm, I'm really torn on buying this day-1. There's a Lego store 15min away from my place and I can take the day off work to get in line early. The issue is that I plan to build this set over the holiday break period. So really, it will just sit unopened until then. I'd like to take advantage of the double-VIP offer in October (or the to be expected November and December offerings) but I do risk this set being "sold out" until 2018... -

Is there any official correspondence from Lego that indicates that the Black MF VIP card will go to only the first 20,000 sales? About how long would it take to sell 20,000 sets? Days, weeks? There's about 125 retail store plus online.... -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

PR has been out since January 2014....coming up on 4 years already. The show must go on! -
Nice set, will probably get one when offered at 20% with double VIP points and free gift. I just wish they invested the parts from the bus into the actual station.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
eliminator replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Palace Cinema now listed as "sold out" on the US/CAN Shop@Home site. Looks like the Facebook post created some panic and resulted in this sell off. I wouldn't be surprised if it came back in stock for this year's holiday period. On another note, there's rumors circulating now the the Parisian Restaurant may also retire this year...in US/CAN max you can add to your cart at Shop@Home is 2 copies vice the typical 5. -

Or on back order, with a ship before date (you can still buy it) yea, I saw that. They are the only source stating that fact. My local Lego Store (take that with a grain of salt) indicated that the cards are for 75192 purchased until 31 Dec. I wonder how long it would take for them to sell 20k of these sets? -

There's the special black MF VIP card that will shipped to those who buy early. Just not sure yet about how many of these cards will be produced. Moreover, supposedly the card will enable various Lego Store deals throughout 2018. Hopefully we find out more details before launch day. -
