A commissioned model for one of the Skyrim game designers. It is based off of the actual Proudspire Manor in game, which is located in the city of Solitude, just like my previous General Goods, and Windmill. The model uses many of the same techniques as my previous Skyrim models, but I changed the stonework technique in this creation to be more parts efficient. Proudspire Manor is the home of the respected Proudspire family, in Daydelon. Plenty more pictures on brickbuilt. All C&C welcome

Quite a fun twist to the Raavage story Lovely fortress you have there, inside and out. That chandelier design is quite clever -

Some of your best castle themed builds yet! The rockwork in the first scene has a great 'rough' look to it, and I'm really fond of the boat tile wall for the second build The tower top is my favorite of the group, with the round shape nicely executed and a very Nocturnus look to the crenelations. Neat idea to make GoH characters available for digital builders- 9 replies

[freebuild] Is this the end of this Era?

Yikes, that is a very dark twist Great use of brick bricks, and I like how you paneled the bottom of the wall with SNOT tiles -
Challenge V, Cat C: To Hell, Through Heaven And Back
soccerkid6 replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent entry, with quite a gripping story The builds you were able to complete are great. I think you managed a wonderful balance of texture and detail in the interior of the inn And the GoH shield mosaic in the hidden room below the inn is lovely. Pretty neat lighting effects for the portal too -
Really a tremendous build The ramshackle wooden look, crazy layout, and swampy atmosphere make this a perfect orc habitation The various walkways/ladders are very well designed and I love those trees
-
Lovely building composition, and the second story balcony/roof area is really superb Tremendous stonework for the chimney and first floor too

Nicely written and illustrated story that certainly gives a shocking twist on Raavage -
Quite a pretty house The bright colors give a very lively look, and the tile wall technique is a nifty design

@Garmadon: A lovely build that is! Glad you haven't forgotten GoH @Kabel: Great to see you return to Mitgardia -
Steen Larsson rides again! Quite the news to hear of his marriage and son. I wonder if his son will carry on in Steen's legacy? The glimpse we do get of the castle looks very promising

As already mentioned, the 2017 Summer Joust is now live. The Summer Joust is a castle contest with 6 different categories that is open May 1st-June 30th 2017. The contest is hosted on Flickr in a dedicated contest group. This year there are prizes for 1st and 2nd in all categories (excepting the team category), as well as 3 individual awards. Should be lots there for any Castle fan, and its fine to use a build for GoH and the Summer Joust (assuming the build wasn't posted before May 1st 2017) -

Been pretty quiet here lately, anyone cooking up some new MOCs? I have plans for a Mill Phase 3 build, but likely won't have time to do it for a bit as I have some other commitments to fulfill first. The 5th anniversary challenge offers lots of great MOC opportunities too. -

Very good storytelling, you made great use of fig posing and your builds in addition to the text Wonderful use of the printed baseplate in the Kaliphlin scene -
A small section of landscape, but still a superb landscape The trans black for water, and reeds are the highlights for me

This will be one of the prizes for this years Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. I have always liked the look of Edoras, so it was quite fun to try to capture the look of the city in microscale. Edoras is the capital city of Rohan, and houses the Golden Hall, Meduseld. Plenty more pictures on my website. Thanks for looking

Excellent work on both the story and accompanying builds The carpet, and use of brick bricks for the floor of the throne room are very clever, and your switching between micro labyrinth and full size works well -
Really a stunning model! The landscape is just incredible, such brilliant use of plates and bricks Lovely little fortress too, with some really clever use of Minecraft(?) printed parts

Tremendous burnt down effect Easy to see what building it used to be. Interesting storyline as well -
Those short sleeve arms really do look fabulous Great use of that floor design, and the bit of wall you can see in the background is quite nice too
-
Always good to see you back in the guilds Very neat idea here, and nicely executed. The wooden walkways are cleverly built
-
Just stepping the path's layout a bit keeps it from looking so straight. Like here: I like the lush vegetation you have, and the castle wall has a good classic look to it
