  1. Hi all, at the end of 2011 there was the first Police Interceptor, and there was a second one in 2012, which was derived from the Tumbler. Now I thought it might be a nice tradition to build one Police Interceptor each year. The PI 2013 is derived from the Chevy Impala, see http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=78902: It fits 2 cops (with caps) at the front and one suspect at the rear. At first I thought the new cop caps wouldn't fit, but then I modified the roof a little and now they fit, although the cops do not sit fully straight, but for me it's okay: Here you can see it in action. The street needs some traffic stuff, and I'd rather have brickbuilt motorbikes, but well ... Thanks for looking, c&c welcome as usual.
  2. Yeah, that would be very nice! I had the same idea (there's even one vintage car involved, rather a hidden clue) but since it's not my own PC there wasn't enough time for that ... Looking forward to it!
  3. Thanks a lot SwissBrick, glad you like it! Glad to hear this from you solta, thank you very much! Concerning the last pics I must say it was fun but I find it rather difficult to get such a complex scene right. There must be more interaction between the figures to get it as lively as it should. And you shouldn't put a red car in front of a red carpet, I guess But that's something to work on ... Many thanks all for commenting and viewing!
  4. Wow, that's a nice idea, thanks LCM! I'm in - if there's enough time, that is ...
  5. Thanks a lot TheLegoDr, glad you like it! It's always nice to have a suitable surrounding for the cars, and thanks to the Palace Cinema there's a little glamour in the city now ... Looking forward to your version!
  6. Great vehicles SalvoBrick, I especially love your vintage roadster (both versions). Would be glad to have it in the Vintage Cars Group on Flickr, but didn't find it in your Flickr stream. So if you add it there you may add it to the group, too, if you like (see signature). Keep on!
  7. This looks really great, it's got the right atmosphere, and I love what you have done with the background, nice idea. We should have combined the two settings ...
  8. Some days ago a fellow AFOL, Na Dine, got the Palace Cinema and built it. So that was a nice opportunity to combine the cars and especially the Cadillac Fleetwood with it. Together we built a little scene which might go well with the Academy Award subject ... (Just seen the fantastic MOC AncientDayz has uploaded, now our scene surely can't compete with that! Anyway the focus is a little different, so ... ) More pics see http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=78281 (especially the last post).
  9. Hi all, here is another version of the Impala, a lowrider. Well, no real lowrider, of course. But this setup shows the possibilities of the chassis quite nicely. Rear axle is lifted two levels to get more spring range and the typical bouncer look. Rims and bumpers are custom chrome, of course. Here's a video, too: http://www.flickr.co...er0l/8474716891 Wheels: I now opt for a combination of a standard town rim and two narrow tires http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=51011 as one wide base tire. I like it much better than the inside-out-tires I have used so far. I even changed it on the Corvette, see http://www.flickr.co...er0l/8466752569. The wheel is considerably smaller than the typical town wheel (Corvette has a ground clearance of 1 mm), but the overall look is much better in my opinion. C&C welcome as usual, thanks for looking!
  10. Very cool! I like the frame construction, and the whole thing looks very neat. That door is very well done, too. Great job LT!
  11. This looks really cool indeed. At the first moment I couldn't believe you squeezed 2 M motors in there, then I recognized that the second motor lies beneath the compartment. But this was surely some hard work to do, I'm impressed. Many thanks for the explanations. Seems to me that a slow steering is the best solution to keep a truck like this going straight. Keep it up!
  12. The shaping is very nice indeed. I like what you are doing with the black parts here to get more plasticity and make it look like a real machine. Great job!
  13. Very nice Hook&Ladder/Tiller Truck! I especially like the smooth design of the cab. But it's all very well done. Keep it up!
  14. Very impressive! Great to see some unusual Lego architecture like this. I love the whole shape and all those nice textures. Been to Grenoble once, but alas did not visit the tower. Amazing work!
  15. Thanks a lot Midnight, glad you like them! Many thanks all for commenting & viewing, there will probably be another version of the Impala, we'll see ...
  16. Wow, this looks very cool. I like the idea of having a frame and some wall or roof elements. - Don't know what you're planning exactly but would some brackets at the corners be helpful?
  17. Wow! Amazing work on this solta! The truck itself is very well done: that nice 6w/7w offset, wheels (with those nice smooth tires) and the very fine front mudguards. This looks very cool, especially regarding the fact that the wheels must be able to move when steering. And then it's all PF-equipped - fantastic. Surely this has been done before but here it's the combination of a very fine-looking truck with all that technical stuff squeezed into it. Two questions, though: How do you manage to keep the truck that slow (which is fine)? Did you decrease voltage by reducing the number of batteries or something? The truck goes straight on nicely which often seems to be a problem. How do you do that? Or does it steer rather slowly, too? Anyway awesome work. Looking forward to further pics!
  18. Thanks a lot LT. Well, there'll probably be at least one more Impala, built for a special purpose ...
  19. Another great little fire truck from you Farnheim! The rounded shapes of the tanks are a nice contrast to the old skool appearance of the whole thing. And I love the last picture, of course. Something unexpected will surely happen in the next few seconds. (That dark red helmet is very fashionable btw.) Keep up the great work!
  20. Thanks jamesn, and thanks again for your inspirational hints! Thanks genecyst, glad you like them! Thanks a lot L@go! Nice to hear this from an inspirational builder and creator of iconic cars like you. I like that niche idea because that's what I try do to - developing platforms that allow to build any type of car. Or at least some of them, I'm not so much into the small car business, it seems .
  21. Hi all, here you can see the finished MOC: The frame seems to be quite suitable. Due to the set down windscreen and some play within the structure you may even lower the roof for one plate at the rear, which improves the silhouette. The backend had to be reinforced due to the stress provoked by this, but it seems to work. Many thanks for viewing!
  22. This looks really great LT, I love the sign, and there is the Fonz! That door is really great, and I love the interior. Keep up the great work, looking forward to the end result!
  23. A great car combo you've got there Solta. They look quite powerful, and I love all those offsets and curves, as well as the low stance. None of them is ugly, btw. # Keep up the great work!
  24. That would be very nice. You may join the group anytime: http://www.flickr.co...egovintagecars/
  25. I must say I am not acquainted with the Winter Village subject but this caught my eye, since it's clearly car-related Well, if this is the first car you've ever built I must say I am looking forward for your future car MOCs since this is designed really well. You nailed the style, and that colour combo is gorgeous. I love the station, too, especially the design of the pump. That would be enough awesomeness for me. But there is a house, too, which is very nice, especially the interior! All the parts fit very well together. Good luck in the contest!
