  1. I wouldn't really worry, rewrites are super common for animated movies. It's a big endeavor and takes a lot of time to put together, usually about five years. Before they ever animate a single frame they do their best to make the script as good as possible. Unlike live action movies you can't really do reshoots at the last minute if something's not working (Well, you sort of can, but it's costly and it's time consuming), so most animated movies will do multiple rewrites and spend masses of time developing the movie to avoid problems later on. As some of you might recall the first Lego Movie went through a lot of drafts and how it turned out in the final version is far removed from the final product. Remember too that WB set the bar pretty high with the first one, likely they're pulling out all the stops to get as much of a repeat performance of the first one as they can.
  2. Indeed they are, but when Lego announces a Vans shoes level pack none of us will be laughing... I am really hoping we get some more info soon. I'm kind of anxious to see how the Powerpuff Girls are going to turn out. Something makes me think their tremendous head size will make for a difficult transition.
  3. Isn't Mars Red Pizza a Dr. Who companion? So more Dr. Who after all! In all serious it's possible it's not a hint towards anything at all and even if it is there's plenty of other themes it could be hinting at, not just something for Dimensions anyway.
  4. I want to guess Fry from Futurama due to him wearing red and being a pizza delivery boy. But by that logic it could also be Pepper from Lego Island. I expect neither, but would love both. Seriously, reviving Lego island would be great. Make that happen Lego.
  5. That would be pretty sweet. I'd love that. This CMF really excites me, so many possibilities.
  6. I like that Sonic. The ring is okay, but I'm not sold on that having been included. If it were the official part I'd think it would actually be gold like in the game. Then again those rings often look yellow in the games...
  7. I might be crazy, but I actually kind of like these. Classic Iron Man is pretty cool, I love Magneto's magnet car and I actually might like this version of Scorpion better than the other one (I think having proper goggles helps the design, plus the lime and yellow coloring looks really good). I might actually buy some of these.
  8. That Leia is just purely awesome, I look forward to having that in a set. It seems too well designed not to be intended for that. Really, it's almost offensive that Lego used the old torso print for so long. It never looked that good, so it appearing more than once baffles my mind.
  9. I think the designs are a little different though (I think in the set they based her design more on the USM comic design of Spider-woman). Even without that it made sense. In the ultimate universe that version of Spider-woman was a female clone of Peter. So for the heroes of the set they were all different versions of Peter. Hence the clone references found all over that set. The logic behind her inclusion was fine. The real problem with her is that simply she wasn't what people wanted.
  10. At this point I'm guessing that it's going to be a single minifigure to unlock the battle arena in the phase 1 worlds. As in, they connect to those worlds by unlocking a new part of it.
  11. In general I think a fair share of books are better than movies, but admittedly movies sometimes do surpass them. Movies have the distinct advantage of being crafted by many, whereas books are written by just a few. This can allow movies to exceed the limitations of just one mind, creating plots and visuals that just one person might not have been able to imagine for themselves. At the same time this collective dream of many people can often be disjointed and pulled down by the weaker links in the creative chain. I've read Jurassic Park, the movie is way better. The book is good, but it is ultimately bogged down by tedious plot elements and unlikable characters (Seriously, you might start rooting for the Dinosaurs after listening to these characters argue). The book takes a long time to even start, having an entire subplot unfold before the park is even introduced. Several chapters focus on the technical systems of the park. Nothing says fun like listening to characters recite information about how a computer system works...
  12. I completely forgot that was a WB film! I would love the Iron Giant as much as Willy Wonka. MAKE IT HAPPEN LEGO!
  13. I'm hoping for Willy Wonka. That's like the last classic WB movie left at this point...
  14. You know, Beast Boy and Raven have grown on me. I like this Beast Boy's coloring and hairpiece better than the Jokerland one. The only thing that really bothers me is the eye style, but maybe I could accept that. It's not as ugly as those horrible Clone Wars faces. This is stylized, but kind of pleasantly. With Raven I had a similar problem, but seeing the larger picture helped. It looks like the color around the eyes is consistent with the color of the rest of her visible skin. So I'm thinking I could just talk myself into believing it's just a weirdly shaped shadow rather than the legitimate outline of her eyes. If she has dual molded legs than I think I could learn to overlook anything.
  15. They've haven't officially said they don't intend to follow up the other franchises. Sure, we're seeing a lot of coverage devoted to the new franchises, but that doesn't mean they won't add to the old ones. Dr. Who, the Wicked Witch, Harley Quinn and Scooby Doo get a fair amount of coverage in the trailer (Some even got a little bit of voicing), so that tends to suggest they still recognize them as important franchises. That doesn't guarantee more packs, but it does imply they'll continue to have some importance within the game, if anything they might just be used in the updated story more.
  16. Her torso looks surprisingly normal actually. So maybe just the head will have to be replaced.
  17. There's a lot to look forward to here. Sadly for some properties I don't see getting more than one pack. Outside of Sloth I can't really think of many characters from The Goonies that would make a good playable character, maybe if it were a team pack he would come with Chunk. I could see Elliot with ET. Otherwise though I don't see much expansion for some franchises. Nice to see them still advertising the characters from the first series, maybe we'll see some additions to those franchises at some point.
  18. Well, lately Lego hasn't been doing that many stylized faces. Scooby Doo and Rebels were normal, it just seemed like the danger had passed. Little did we realize that stylized faces were an ever present danger... Darn.
  19. Cartoon face... Well at least we have the Jokerland version already. Unfortunately this brings up the possibility of Raven being similarly disappointing.
  20. Beast Boy has cartoon eyes, which means... OH NO, RAVEN!
  21. Based on what's been teased already there's still a few more.
  22. I don't watch Adventure Time, but I sure do like these packs. I'm not caring much for the rest right now though. Mission Impossible looks kind of meh. Harry Potter is the same as ever. Ghostbusters gets a point for trying to do something interesting with the base, but it's not that substantial or interesting so meh again. Mr. T is awesome and anyone who says he isn't is severely uninformed!
  23. So are the Story Packs the connectables?
  24. I'm increasingly excited to see so many classic movie franchises included. There's still so much more I want to see though, so hopefully this game keeps selling well. I would be so happy if they did a level pack for Willy Wonka.
  25. Cool. Love so much about it. I especially love that I can use the Dr. Strange head for Kraven.
