  1. Hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question, but where do they normally have the blindbags at Walmart? I checked the Lego aisle but they're not there, but I saw a couple of rogue packets lying about.
  2. Okay, guys, I'm a bit torn here. So I have a fair amount of cash because of Christmas/My birthday and all of that (With some more expected soon in the mail), so I'm looking at some of the Monster Fighter sets I don't have yet (Frankenstein, Ghost Train, and the Castle). Outside of that, there's also some of the superhero stuff coming out (Like Arkham). Thing is, I like the Frankenstein set because of the minifigs, and the play feature is neat, but I'm not sure about the model itself (It looks a little too open, though the tower bit is awesome) and the car looks a little wonky. The train's main appeal is the ghosts of course (And the fact the engine looks like if Thomas the Tank went goth), but the only caveat is that I have too many Lego vehicles and not enough locations. That and I can get the ghosts in the polybag. The castle's the best bet, since the model is pure eye candy and it has more play features than you can shake a stick at, but I'm a little weary on the price. (To me, it's not every day I drop $100 on a set). If I can find it for a cheaper price, I'll do it, but ATM, I'm unsure. As for Arkham, I don't have any other Batman sets, so I'm not sure if I should dive into a huge set like this so soon (And the fact it's D2C isn't helping).
  3. That Rex one had me on the floor. Nice use of parts!
  4. Congrats to the winners, especially Nemo. Yours was fantastic and pleased the Bat-fan in me.
  5. Oh now I wouldn't say that.... You best stay away from Jack McHammer's daughter, or else you'll become zombie bait.
  6. Luckily I turned my head and didn't douse my laptop. Keep it up, lad!
  7. Funny thing, I was originally going to do the colors the other way around, but then again the lighting wasn't exactly the best.
  8. That Gungan Style funny had me spit out my Dr. Pepper. Hilarious!
  9. "Secret about Darth Vader, he can't see down here!" -George Lucas Anyway, I wanted to MOC this little scene from last year's Scream Awards where Vader accepted the Ultimate Villain award. If I posted this in the wrong section, please, by all means, fix it for me. This is the first MOC (LDD or otherwise) I posted, so please be gentle. Here's my reference video: I know I don't have all the details of the set (Mainly the images on the panels in the back), but I thought this would be a nice way to show my progress with LDD (I'm still very much a n00b. )
  10. This sounds like fun, as much as I don't believe in any cockamamie doomsday theories, this ought to prove interesting. Count me in.
  11. Magic Duel had it all: Enough fanservice to satisfy without deviating from the plot, plenty of subtle movie references (Gremlins in the beginning, Star Wars while Twilight is training with Zecora as Yoda, etc), lots of continuity (The episode itself is continuity alone), and I think I got diabeetus from Fluttershy.
  12. 9 by Captain Nemo-3 points (The brick-build Harley sells it for me) 6 by Plissken-2 points (It’s simple, but I love the flame effect and Batman’s arms) 21 by Runamuck-2 points (About time we saw a Transformers cover. I love the Transformer and the words)
  13. Yeah, it makes me wonder where you get these ideas, man. The advent calendar seems to be a plethora of potential for funnies,at least in the case of the micro-builds.
  14. I'm loving the Waiter, Gypsy, Knight, Hollywood Starlet, and the Chicken Suit guy (Al's Toy Barn, anyone?). Maid Marion (Brave?) is neat too.
  15. I know they have Friends hairpieces and such on LDD (Like the little pieces they put in the hair and the new flower bits).
  16. Wow, a bit gruesome, but I kind of like it. Nice effect with the blood without getting too overboard with the gore (I mean just how gory can you get with Lego....Somehow I regret asking that question). Nice job, nevertheless.
  17. Wow, Wonder Woman's really let herself go, huh? Anyway, love the stylized look to the characters and again, the technic 1x1s/1x2s for mouths (Sans Wonder Woman).
  18. This theme is definitely starting to grow on me. This is a must have for me (Along side the giant wasp ship, you know, to even the playing field in terms of ships). I like the fact the flick-fires are kind of tucked away in the back and concealed instead of being more or less an afterthought (Placed on the side of the ship like with the S.H.I.E.L.D. jeep from the Avengers sets). Both minifigs I can see as being very useful (Especially the double-sided head for making a cyborg).
  19. Agreed. The blindbags are in perfect scale to a minifig, so it's about time we saw some in a Friends MOC (The worlds are almost interchangeable it seems)
  20. Not bad. Some things I like are the faceless zombie, the bullet holes in the walls, and the custom parts (That revolver is to die for). My only complaint is with the faces, they seem a little happy to be fighting the undead, but I feel as though I'm splitting hairs. Nice work.
  21. Really, nothing? This is a great representation of the original cover! I like how you used the older Batman minifig in lieu of the new one (The expression seems more fitting to the atmosphere). Great job here, and good luck! P.S. I love what you did with the arms. How'd you do it?
  22. Oh no, one of Pinkie's clones escaped and went off to the Lego realm and into your MOC! Not bad, very resourceful collaboration of various Friends sets into a single modular. I agree with Venunder with some of the color combinations being a little dodgy, but otherwise I like it!
  23. So far season 3's been pretty good. The two-parter was alright, aside from the obviously powerful but poorly executed villain, Too Many Pinkies was hilarious, and One Bad Apple is my pick of the litter so far (Gasp, a CMC episode that's good!). The song is catchy and made me thing of something from Josie and the Pussycats, loved the A-Team nod, and the message about bullying was hit squarely on the head without being too heavy handed (Er, hooved?)
  24. Oky, you're completely dominating this funny thread and the one in the licensed forum. Not that I'm complaining, you're doing a bang-up job!
