  1. It was a very difficult choice to exclude it. I thought long about it when I made this poll. If you want I can add it.
  2. Which castle is your favorite? I have chosen medieval and medieval fantasy castles that have been available in stores and that are not limited editions or later re-releases of previous sets such as BDP and Legends (so if the Legends Black Falcon's Fortress is your favorite you can vote for the original). I think that BDP is so different that it deserves it's own poll. I have not included smaller buildings such as parts of walls, gates and towers. Buildings with other functions such as inns and mines are also not included.
  3. Cool! The Swedish Donald Duck comic (Kalle Anka) used to have similar ads when I was a kid. I remember several Pirates ads and even a special Space comic about the Futuron monorail, a black Classic Space astronaut and a robot.
  4. Today I visited a Prisma supermarket in Kyrkslätt, Finland and I was surprised to see a Renegade on the shelf and it appears to be very popular because it was only one left on the shelf. It is also available from their website. I thought it was a Lego exclusive set. https://www.prisma.fi/tuotteet/111034421/lego-icons-10355-blacktron-renegade-avaruusaluksen-rakennussetti-111034421
  5. Always nice to see high quality Futuron builds!
  6. I have a couple of rooms with no windows and in them I have Rudsta glass door cabinets. I prefer to store my Lego in places with no light to minimize yellowing.
  7. If that's the case I have nothing to worry about. My LUGNET username and password are unique for that website. Thanks for the information! LUGNET used to be one of the main Lego fan sites on the internet when I started visiting Lego fan sites online in 2000. I created my own account in 2002 and had to pay $10 for it. Back then I didn't have a credit card so I had to mail the money to them. Link to the Wikipedia article about LUGNET
  8. Do you use IKEA Lixhult? Thanks!
  9. A perfect combination of new and old!
  10. Anyone else still using LUGNET for information about old sets? I've been a member since 2002 and before that I also used to visit the site. When I joined I had to pay $10. The last few days I've seen this message when visiting the site and I don't want to log in anymore. 11. I have several of these cabinets placed around the house, both for storage of sets and display. When I walk by I like to open the door and look at the small dioramas.
  12. Thanks! I have added a 1795 Imperial Cannon in the far right hand corner of the cabinet so it might be a bad idea to turn the cannon for the pirates. They have sailed into a trap!
  13. If it was up to me it would be me and my cat and my apple trees. I like to eat the apples and my cat loves to jump from branch to branch. The set would also include a minifig scale apple picker tool I use to reach the highest branches. Maybe also a house with a door with a cat flap.
  14. Official stores, I should have been more clear about that
  15. Cool! Nice upscaled version. I like the black trees.
  16. Nice to see that you like the questions. I got the idea to include question number five because my dad who is in his sixties has suddenly become interested in Lego. He has always been very supportive of my interest in Lego but he has never before bought any sets for himself or built any MOCs as an adult. He had some basic Lego bricks in the 60s when he was a kid but stopped building when he became a teenager. He has always liked to admire the builds at Legoland and he used to help me build sets when I was a very young kid. One of my very first Lego related memories is him and me building 6886 Galactic Peace Keeper on the living room floor. A couple of weeks ago when we were at a Lego store and I was busy filling boxes at the PAB wall he walked around the store and looked at the boxes and then to my surprise he bought several Technic and Speed Champions cars as well as the Shelby Cobra and the Tuxedo Cat. He even bought some Botanical sets for my mom. Now he is busy building all those sets and he plans to buy all the F1 cars. I am happy for him that he discovered they joy of building.
  17. Part 2 of random Lego related questions
  18. I think you can fill out a form to get the missing part. https://www.lego.com/en-be/service/replacement-parts/missing
  19. I have never used any other replicas or thin ones except the official ones that comes with sets. They are next to each other. I'm holding the replica while my Black Seas Barracuda has the original.
  20. When I have ships and other sets that doesn't have official rope that is what I have used. I used it for the Renegade Runner in the picture.
  21. This is what I use for ships https://www.ebay.com/itm/254571752889
  22. In this context "man ska inte" has the same meaning as "you should not". "Man" means man but is used the same way as "you" in English. "Ska is a more modern form of "skall" which is similar to the old English "shall". "Inte" means not. "Fan" means devil ( Contraction of fanden (“the Devil”), from late Old Norse fendinn, perhaps from Frisian with the original meaning "the tempter, he who tempts". Cognate with Danish fanden, Icelandic fjandi, Faroese fanin and Swedish fan. ) "Väggen means wall. "Måla" means to paint and "på" means on. Swedish, Danish and Norwegian is using very similar words for the most part while the pronunciation is very different especially between Swedish and Danish. I try to watch as much Danish tv as possible to learn better Danish. When I go to Denmark I always try to speak Danish but I still have a very very thick Swedish accent. When I try to read Dutch I can understand some parts but not others. I learnt English at a young age because of relatives in the US and Canada that visited us often and we also visited them a lot. Learning English helped me learn other languages. Learning Finnish has given me much headache because it is so different from other languages. Nowadays I speak basic Finnish that is good enough for the workplace. I live in the part of Finland where most people speak Swedish so I mostly use Finnish at work with Finnish colleagues or when I go to Helsinki. I always mess up the Finnish suffixes because you can say words in 15 different ways with different endings. I learned Finnish in my early 20s when I played hockey for a team where almost everyone spoke Finnish. It was only me, a Canadian and a Russian that didn't speak the language but after half a year I learned the basics.
  23. Yes, but that one is unfortunately built with parts from the Creator Pirate Ship and will not guarantee availability of the cannon beyond this year.
  24. Are there any upcoming sets for any theme that will include the shooting cannon? Is it available in the latest BDP parts palette?
  25. After all the problems I was a bit worried but now I'm happy that everything went well and that I can continue to use Bricklink.
