LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
SpacePolice89 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
While I didn't like the Mutant Blacktron in it's original form it was easy to modify into a real Blacktron 2 astronaut that looks fantastic. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I think that they should release one exact copy of a classic minifig in each series such as a yellow Futuron astronaut or the Black Knights knight with white dragon plumes. -
Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)

A new Vikings theme would be fantastic and I feel the same about something Greco-Roman based but not if it's related to Monkie Kid in any way or form. -

I think one has to be a hardcore Lego fan to stay interested in Lego trough those years. From all the people I know in real life it is only me and another guy that stayed seriously interested in Lego during all the teenage years. Most people thought that they were too cool for Lego during those years and I think no matter what designs Lego makes they will not buy. Many of them regained interest in Lego in their 20s when they had matured and their hormones had settled. -

I'd be very happy to see that happen! -

The problem with most current unlicensed themes are that they are subpar Ninjago clones. City space is also a poor replacement because it will always be too NASA like. Ninjago is a good theme that deserves a permanent place in the lineup but it can never replace themes such as Castle, Pirates, Space etc. because it is too out there and too fantasy based and too Power Rangers like. I don't necessarily see one year themes as a bad thing because they provide variation and most of them stuck around for 2-3 years. Themes such as Castle and Space existed in some form from the late 70s to the mid 2010s and Pirates from 1989 to 2015 with some interruptions. 4. That sound like a very good idea. Maybe Samurai vs Ninja vs Mongols? 5. Personally I prefer the human vs human themes and subthemes in Castle and Space. Blacktron and Wolfpack are much better villains than aliens or trolls. I can't understand why such a theme hasn't been made. That is an excellent idea! -
I had an old Bricksafe account as a Backup for my Brickshelf account which was my primary account for images until the very end. Now I have completely transitioned to Bricksafe. Thanks for the information. I will continue to look for that post because I will maybe create a new backup account somewhere outside Bricksafe.

Didn't someone present their new Lego only picture sharing website here on Eurobricks a month or two ago? I have tried to look for it but I can't find that post again. Do you remember it?

Something like Aquazone but more based around monorails/trains. -

1. I imagined something like space but with everything under water with different trans neon colors. 2. Because we have several themes taking place earlier and later. I didn't imagine anything Cold War related, more the style and the fashion. 3. With this one I want to go crazy and have a lot of cool stuff and not so much historical accuracy or to follow books and other existing media. It doesn't have to be Sherlock Holmes, it can also be some similar character. 4. Japan vs Japan would also be a good option but then it is harder to achieve the "fortresses vs ships" vibe I imagined. I see the Mongols to represent some kind of pirate like faction. No one would be made to look like bad guys and the customer could choose themselves who is good and bad just like it was with the Imperials and Pirates back in the day. 5. I know but personally I don't see the problem if the enemy is a fictional creature with no relation to the real word. Your idea is also good and would be something new. I disagree. Ninjago tries to be too much at once and is too chaotic for me. There is nothing wrong with Ninjago but it can never replace more realistic or purely sci-fi themes. That is why all Ninjago clones fail, there is room for one such theme (and Ninjago is the best and should be the only one). -

Around 2010 we had so many interesting in house themes and I can't understand why they stopped making new ones after 2015. It was almost like a second golden age (the golden age for me personally is mid 80s to mid 90s). I think we need more of them and less Dreamz pastel colored rabbit sets. I have some ideas for a few new themes. 1. Underwater Pirates Underwater based theme with a cargo transporting faction with an underwater monorail who are fighting against an evil pirate faction that uses futuristic technology. 2. New adventure theme about several teams of archeologists that are competing to find a treasures all around the world in the 1960s. Each factions has their own base and vehicles. 3. Something like City but taking place in late 1800s London. Some Sherlock Holmes inspired hero fighting against a Jack the Ripper inspired supervillain. A Scotland Yard base for the good guys and a base located in the sewers for the bad guys. 4. Samurais/Japan vs mongol invasion. Would include both castles and ships. 5. Return to fantasy themes for a Castle inspired theme: A peaceful kingdom with knights in gold and blue armor fighting against evil orcs and trolls that want to take over their kingdom. The orcs and trolls are controlled by an evil orange wizard who lives in a golden tower. -
I had a long passive collect only phase between ages 20-26 when I did very little building and only collected some sets. During that time I focused mostly on playing hockey and most of my time and money went towards that. In the end I figured that I enjoy Lego more and hockey felt too violent and there were too many injuries. Before and after that period Lego has been my number one hobby.

At that age my closest friends where still very much into Lego and we used to arrange huge battles with all our sets combined. But a couple of years later most of them lost interest in Lego and started pursuing other "interests".

Yes, it is very obvious that they are inspired by the English and French but are they really representing real nations? I see them the same way as I see the Islanders that are clearly inspired by real tribes and natives but they are a fictional tribe in Lego Pirates. Redbeard is also a fictional Pirate probably inspired by Blackbeard. In the 1992 and 1993 catalogs both the Imperial Guards and Imperial Soldiers are presented as one faction and in the 1993 catalog 6259 Broadside's Brig is placed with imperial Guards sets along a coastline. In the end it is ultimately up to each of us to individually decide how we interpret them.

Close. I'm Swedish but live in Finland, I'm part Norwegian from my grandmother's side. I live in Hangö, the southernmost town in Finland which is roughly at the same height as Stockholm, Sweden. The area I live in feels very Swedish because a majority of the inhabitants are part of the Swedish minority in Finland. Maybe redcoats and bluecoats can be allies? At least according to the old catalogs they are. This was a subject of debate between me and my friends when we were younger. Half of us thought that they were the same faction/allies and the other thought that they were competing factions.

It is realistic that kids want such outfits, I have proof . A picture from my 13th birthday party (I belive so, it could also have been 12 or 14?). I was very proud of my Imperial Guard uniform and I also had a shako but unfortunately no pictures of it.

Yes! That is great news! The Spiderman sets themselves are hideous but if they keep the cannon around I'm happy that they exist. https://brickset.com/article/127551/2026-lego-marvel-spidey-and-his-amazing-friends-sets-revealed!

I have built a very simple cave to be able to display some of my Aquazone sets better.

Thanks! It's called Fort Flagstaff.

Lego City 2026, Leaks, Rumours and Discussion
SpacePolice89 replied to Izzynufc-2's topic in LEGO Town
I agree. The best solution would be small normal sets. Yes. Such sets have no place among the other City sets. Rides, 4+ and soapbox should be sold under a different theme such as the old Basic theme or something similar. -

That would've been much better. I see no reason for non minifig scale City sets. -

One of the best waves of City sets in many years. Except Rides, those just feel unnecessary. -
This is fantastic in so many different ways!

Lego City 2026, Leaks, Rumours and Discussion

I agree. I think 60449 is a prime example of that and one of the worst regular City sets ever made. I also think that the Stuntz subtheme should never have been made because the sets were hideous.
