Bricklink and LEGO.com Account Merge
SpacePolice89 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, so do I. I also would prefer them to be as separate as possible. It also feels a bit sad that iconic Bricklink features such as the ID cards will disappear. I joined Bricklink in March 2002 and it changed my Lego hobby in tremendous ways. I might go as far as saying that Bricklink was an important part of my youth. Around the same time I also joined LUGNET and Brickshelf. Before it was very difficult to acquire the pieces that I needed for my MOCs and older sets that I wanted. Before Bricklink my only source of older sets and pieces were yard sales and thrift stores and sometimes I bought my friends old Lego sets and pieces that they no longer wanted. Joining all these sites and communities made me realize that I wasn't the only teenager interested in Lego in a huge way. Now, over 20 years later it feels strange that LUGNET is dead, Brickshelf is a museum and that Bricklink is changing. -
Bricklink and LEGO.com Account Merge
SpacePolice89 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is not a thing that I want to happen but on the other hand I don't believe that the changes will be so drastic. In Swedish we have a saying "man ska inte inte måla fan på väggen" which translates to "do not paint the devil on the wall" and means that it is not good to assume the worst thing to happen because it leads to negative things. Maybe all this will turn out okay after all. -
How to buy legos with out breaking the bank?
SpacePolice89 replied to warrenzevon12's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Both bricks and sets are usually cheaper when buying from local thrift stores and local online marketplaces but they often have a limited inventory. -
What next vintage set could be recreated by TLG ?
SpacePolice89 replied to Khargeust's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am hoping for it to be the Mission Commander or a Futuron Monorail. -
Yes, that's understandable but I hope that they'll include it in some other sets so that it will at least be available on PAB and BDP.

Combining Castle sets with walls
SpacePolice89 replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yes, so did I. It was so much fun. I used to rebuild my Black Knight's Castle in many different ways. I always looked at the 89 catalog for many hours (I still like to look at it) and wanted to recreate the scene with the huge castle wall and the Forestmen laying siege against the castle. Yes, and I also want to enlarge it further. Especially with the Black Monarch's Castle and King's Castle. -
Do you combine your Castle sets to one huge castle? It looks really good when several of them are put together. In the pictures below I have combined my 6074 and 10039 Black Falcon's Fortress, 6067 and 10000 Guarded inn, and 6059 Knight's Stronghold.

I am very disappointed that the shooting cannon wasn't included in the new Black Pearl. Will this be the end of the shooting cannon or will it be included in sets from other themes when the Creator Pirate Ship retires in December?

[MOC] X-wing, alt-build of the 10497 Galaxy Explorer
SpacePolice89 replied to Astatine-209's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Nice! Very innovative use of the Galaxy Explorer pieces. Looks better than all the official X-Wing sets. -
Lego Party! September 30th release date
SpacePolice89 replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
My birthday is also coming up soon so I'll let my family and friends know that this game will be released -
Thanks! I wanted them be visually similar to the original Futuron minifigs but with new colors and torso designs. I wanted them to be similar enough so that they can be displayed together with the original Futuron minifigs.

Let me present my new faction for the Summer Faction Festival contest. They are called Futuron 2. The faction is a special unit of Futuron that is specialized in exploring remote planets with extreme environments. That is the reason for their different uniforms and colors. The colors of their vehicles are similar to Futuron but instead of trans dark blue canopies theirs are trans green. This is a reconnaissance spaceship that is the the first to visit unexplored planets. It is fast and equipped with various sensors. I wanted to keep the color scheme somewhat similar to regular Futuron sets but with distinctive new colors for this special unit. I was inspired by the color changes that Classic Space got during the 80s and the Futuron spaceship with a trans red canopy in the prototype Seatron monorail set that was never released. This special unit prefers twin seat spaceships or robot assistants because they operate in very remote galaxies and solar systems where there are no M-Tron rescue vehicles nearby. This is also the reason why their uniforms are slightly different. They use a modified Futuron spacesuit that is more protective but also heavier and not as flexible as the normal one. The green Astronaut second from the left has damaged his spacesuit while exploring a recently discovered lava planet. Some of the astronauts choose to use helmets in different colors so that they can easily recognize each other in low visibility environments. Most of the torsos are from City Space sets but one is from a Dreamzzz set. The photos below are included for illustrative purposes only (to show the color scheme) and not an entry in the contest. I built a spaceship for the same faction for Lego Ideas a couple of years ago and that is the one pictured below. I got the inspiration to use green astronauts from a prototype green Futuron astronaut that is very rare because it never entered mass production. Only a few of them exists. Some of my green astronauts even have white hands like the prototype minifig has. Below are some pictures of their base

[SFF] Cat A - UFO Collective Long-Range Scout Ship
SpacePolice89 replied to alex_lyman's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I like the design of this spaceship and trans orange is a very suitable color for the canopy. -
That is a fine looking build. Back in the day my cousins had a lot of Time Cruisers/Twisters sets. When I went to their house we used to play with them and build crazy stuff. It is a pretty unique theme.

That sounds very interesting.

Then I'll have to hold on to my idea for the next contest. Maybe next year?

Lego City 2026, Leaks, Rumours and Discussion
SpacePolice89 replied to Izzynufc-2's topic in LEGO Town
That would be fantastic. I wish they would make track compatible with the old monorail system but with new trains types and motors. -
You have again managed to create some fantastic builds! I like how they look and the pieces used.

Will there be any contest this year?
