  1. It was also a surprise to me that Ice Planet is second but it's actually a very special subtheme with many cool innovations and a great color scheme so it's understandable. I would've guessed Blacktron 1 as being in second place but it's nice to see a support for so many different factions. I also thought that Spyrius would've been higher up with all the huge robots that they have.
  2. You have some fantastic sets there!
  3. Same here, I click "submit vote" when I vote and then I automatically see the results. If I click "show results" without voting it doesn't work for me either. If I had to rank all these factions I would put them into groups. 1. Favorite factions: Futuron, Space Police 1, M-Tron and Unitron (the ones I voted for) 2. Factions I like very much: Classic Space, Blacktron 1, Blacktron 2, Space Police 2, Ice Planet 2002, Spyrius and Exploriens 3. Factions I like: Roboforce 4. Factions I have little or no interest in: UFO and Insectoids
  4. Futuron, Space Police 1, M-Tron and Unitron.
  5. What is your favorite Space faction? This is a multiple choice question. I know it is difficult to choose because they are all great but try to choose your very favorites.
  6. Who has the power to lift such a ban when it is sitewide? It is nice to live near the coast. I have a beach near my home where I like to take pictures of sets and minifigs, especially pirate ones.
  7. I like both ships but I slightly favor the Imperial Flagship. It was very difficult for me to make this choice because both ships belong to my favorite sets.
  8. The Creator Pirate ship is really nice, I hope they release a new Creator Pirates set when they discontinue it in December 2025. I really like the Creator sets. The Creator Castle is also fantastic. Have you noticed that it's impossible to write the word "junior-ized" properly on Eurobricks due to censorship? I'll write it below to show what happens. <insert that tiresome argument> They should remove this censorship because it is a term that is very important when discussing what happened to Lego in the late 90s and early 00s.
  9. I like all Pirates sets equally up until the sets released in 1997. I still like those but not as much as the earlier ones. There I notice a small drop in design quality. The 2009 and 2015 sets felt too junior-ized for me while I still appreciate them because we rarely get new sets. The current trend with 18+ sets such as the new Eldorado Fortress feels a bit too polished and studless for my liking while still being great sets.
  10. With the Eldorado Fortress retiring this year and the Creator Pirate Ship next year this would be a perfect replacement for both. I can't understand why they rejected this because Barracuda Bay was released years ago. When I checked Lego Ideas, almost half of the staff picks were builds based on old movies and tv series. They should limit those instead.
  11. Hard to tell if kid me would've liked the current sets. I was an older kid/teenager when the first Star Wars sets were released and the only ones that I bought back then I converted to Space sets. I liked the original movies but wasn't very interested in other Star Wars products like toys. I guess that with no Space sets available at all nowadays I would've bought the current ones to build my own spaceships if I was a kid nowadays. In general I don't like non minifigure sets like helmets and 18+ display models but with the sheer number of SW sets available I don't see this as a problem.
  12. Very nice! Here's a picture of the original for comparison.
  13. It would be great with information about molds in general, also discontinued molds and dates of use. On Bricklink there is information about which years a part has been produced but I'd be interested in the status of the molds. Some are stored while others get destroyed. Very seldom such information is available, Lego has confirmed that the monorail molds are gone .
  14. I've never been really into Technic but I've always appreciated the very cool designs they used to have. Like the dinosaur and the red car. I prefer the old look with studded Technic pieces. This set looks so cool (picture belongs to Brickshelf member Ashik) (picture belongs to Brickshelf member (chiabep)
  15. This seems to be a very nice set. Thanks for the review, it was a very interesting read!
  16. I guess they are trying to save face by releasing such a statement. I believe 99% of respondents were negative towards forced digital instruction and now they are doing damage control. At least they respect their customers by withdrawing these horrible plans.
  17. That sounds very interesting and like a very good idea. Someday I'll buy another Black Seas Barracuda and convert it to an Imperial ship like the one in Legoland Billund. This was my favorite ride in Legoland when I was a kid and it still is. When I visited last time I went three times. The first and third time I just enjoyed looking at all the fantastic builds and the second time I focused on taking pictures. This year they had replaced all the bricks in the fort and also made some other improvements. This video is seven years old.
  18. The large flag from the new Eldorado Fortress is available on Pick a Brick. It is very similar to the old one. https://www.lego.com/en-us/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?appearsIn=10320&selectedElement=6436387
  19. Another alternative is to buy used empty boxes in good condition from Bricklink.
  20. Thanks! Yes, those boxes were really fun as well as a great marketing tool. I remember always looking at the box of 6481 Construction Crew at the local toy store every time we went to the shopping street. Then I got it as a birthday gift. I still have the set in working order and good condition and the instructions but unfortunately not the box but I found a picture of it.
  21. I'll just write him a check. I also want to travel back in time. I remember all those sets on shelves from when I was a kid. I wanted the Futuron monorail so badly but when my parents were going to buy the monorail it wasn't available anymore. I was so sad. I only had some pictures of it to look at and dream and thinking that I'll never get it. I later discovered Bricklink and bought it. I was so happy then and I still am when I see my 6990. I still have the small brochures I used to look at as a kid. And now I have it!
  22. Jump to 45:05 If you manage to set up such a store you should also have 1980s prices on the sets and then you also need 1980s customers. I'm born in the 80s so I can come and do some shopping when everything is ready
  23. I really like this one and the robot is super cool looking. The Space Police 1 B-Wing sounds very interesting as well.
  24. The new one definitely has many interesting features and the ship looks great. I would've bought it if the had kept the original minifigs as they did with the new Galaxy Explorer. Some new Imperial Soldier minifigs with the original design would've been fantastic. At least I have a couple of new imperial Soldiers from 2855041 and 852697 but those are too expensive to acquire in large numbers. Now I have all my Pirates sets spread out but someday it would be nice to have them all in one place. On the top of a shelf I have a sea battle between the original Imperial Flagship and the Black Seas Barracuda along with some smaller sets and on another shelf I have all my Islanders sets and some Pirate and Imperial sets.
  25. Thank you! I really like the smaller sets and they fill an important role in the Pirates lineup. 6234 Renegade's Raft was my first Pirates set and got me interested in the theme.
