  1. Yes but not side by side. I have the original and have seen the reissue up close in the Legoland Billund store where they had it in on display. The new one is really nice but I prefer the original because I like the late 80s to mid 90s style of Lego sets more. I think that many of the new sets are too busy and doesn't look like Lego sets because they are too smooth and no studs are visible. Of the big Icons sets I only like the new Galaxy Explorer. The original Eldorado Fortress is one of the best Lego sets of all time. It's really amazing.
  2. For me the Eldorado Fortress has always been my favorite of the 1989 sets closely followed by the Black Seas Barracuda.
  3. I bought it a long time ago but I think I've found it online https://www.vildmarkskallare.se/en/fishing/210d-18-160m-100g-210d-18-160m-100g/p/8854445918145/ https://www.kivikangas.fi/ahti-kalastajanlanka-210d24-100g?srsltid=AfmBOoqOhfEE8yiZ9JkpGNzAahh7VhCoCXo_VDMTMgwdABflS---yclK
  4. Thank you! When I planned this I knew what sort of background I wanted but I had to find it. In the end I found what I wanted on Ebay. It was larger but I have cut it down to fit the back wall of the cabinet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325939241735
  5. I bought the string used in this ship from a boating and fishing goods store. It is exactly the same color and dimension as the original Lego string only a bit more plastic in composition. It was placed next to the fishing nets in the store.
  6. I can now confirm this. I got the chance to look at a lot of Lego cardboard shipping boxes in a store. Every box had large stickers with the country of origin (where the sets are packed). Most said Czech Republic but a couple of boxes said Denmark and all sets in those boxes had the code O (Buildable rose flower sets).
  7. Amish Majisto with green underwear!
  8. Congratulations to the winners!
  9. Thank you! The set felt a little bit too open so I wanted to build some sort of wall while still keeping the same style as the rest of the manor. I prefer to keep official sets untouched because I believe they already have an established look and role within a theme and are designed by someone else so I don't want to mess with that. But I love to make MOCs for the same factions I have official sets from and then I often take inspiration from my official sets that have set the standard for the theme while applying my personal touch and ideas. I only make changes to official sets if I believe they are not up to the usually very high Lego standards (like junior ized late 90s Town or this set) or if I want to add a set to a theme by changing the colors (I changed all the orange and sand blue pieces in the 31111 Cyber Drone to black and blue to make it a Unitron set). I understand if people want to change official sets but most of the time it's not something I prefer to do.
  10. This would be a perfect Castle GWP set.
  11. I usually don't like to modify official sets but with this one I made an exception. The original set just felt not finished and half built but the overall concept is great so I wanted to add some pieces to make it more complete. I bought it in Legoland Billund back in 2001 on clearance and ever since I've wanted to make some improvements because the green dragon deserves a better home . It took me over 20 years to finally make the changes but better late than never. What do you think about the changes that I've made?

  13. Download the Brick Search app and go to the nearest store and start scanning. Earlier in the summer I bought several M-Tron Minifigures from Citti Markt Flensburg when I was on vacation. The staff noticed what I was doing but no one cared. I also found several Ice Planet and Blacktron 2 minifigures that I also bought.
  14. I don't mind the current one but if you do change it please include some Black Falcon or other Classic Castle knights in the new one.
  15. For me Pirates and Castle feel very equal in terms of design quality. I prefer the 80s and 90s style of sets from both themes because I feel many modern sets are too polished and have too many round pieces/specialized pieces that makes them to look less like building toys and more like non building toy scale models. But that is my personal preference and I think that the new sets like Barracuda Bay and Eldorado Fortress 2 are great, it's just that I prefer the older design language and parts. My favorite Pirates sets are: 6272 Eldorado Fortress 6271 Imperial Flagship 6285 Black Seas Barracuda 6279 Skull Island 6270 Forbidden Island 6278 Enchanted Island 6267 Lagoon Lock Up 6277 Imperial Trading Post 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner 6274 Caribbean Clipper Honorable mention: 6268 Renegade Runner , 6263 Imperial Outpost and 6289 Red Beard Runner Now I'll have to stop, otherwise I'll mention all Pirates sets
  16. By keelhauling!
  17. Thank you for the nice words! It is fun to make sails. When I got my first printer in 1996 I started to make printed sails with Imperial flags and symbols that I created on Paint. One of those sails is barely visible in the picture below. Unfortunately I have none of them left because I didn't save them when I needed the parts from the ships for other builds. If I remember correctly the hull pieces from that ship are the same ones used in my contribution to the competition.
  18. I vote for @Horation. His feedback is always constructive and honest.
  19. I recently bought Lego Brawls for PS 5 and it includes a level called Blacktron. There it is possible to drive the 6833 Beacon Tracer and play as the Space Police 1 officer from the CMF series. One team is also led by Captain Magenta from Space Police 2.
  20. I think it is made from some sort of volcanic rock and therefore black. The addition of some brown and light gray pieces and the light gray/green raised baseplate gives the set a good color balance. I prefer the more limited colors used in the 80s and 90s because it provides a cleaner look and it's easier to collect enough pieces in the same color for kids as well as AFOLs.
  21. There is something very wrong with this. The OP is either a bot or a troll. Please shut this down. It is impossible to have any sort of conversation here.
  22. I see no reason to continue this discussion. I again refer to my first post for my reasons to strongly disagree with this disastrous plan.
  23. No chance. I already stated my reasons.
  24. I strongly oppose this. It would end with all production moving away from Europe and Lego abandoning its principles. If the wrong sort of people like PE or hedge funds take over it would be the end of Lego. They are currently gradually transferring ownership to the next generation of the Kristiansen family and that is a very good thing.
