  1. Mine is 6886 Galactic Peace Keeper. It is my favorite for both objective and nostalgic reason, It was one of my first Space sets I got as a kid (back then I only knew it as "Rymdpolisens Spaningsskepp" from the Swedish catalogs), I was then very young, probably below the recommended age limit but I preferred Lego over Duplo. My dad bought me this set and we built it together on the living room floor. I love the design of the ship and the colors and the minifigs are fantastic. It can be seen in the picture below in the lower left corner parked under the monorail.
  2. Here's a picture of my pirate captain keychain I use for my work keys. For my house and bike keys I have a blue brick and for my car keys I have a golden brick.
  3. I bought a brand new baseplate with the new striped pattern underneath in the corner a couple of days ago. It is exactly the same height as my old ones. The one I compared with is from the late 80s or early 90s. The packaging of my new baseplate says "Made in Austria" and I believe that the old ones were also made there. In what region do you live and are your baseplates also made in Austria?
  4. In the late 90s they brought in a lot of new designers with fancy diplomas but with very little understanding of Lego. They even changed the title from designer to innovator. Maybe that's the reason for the sudden drop in design quality?
  5. I rated it as 5 (very good). Soon I'll have all the parts so that I can build it myself.
  6. I found this thread with very beautiful pictures of the Imperial fort from 260. Soon I'll have all part for my fort. In the meantime I can look at the nice pictures.
  7. I agree completely. Lego released 53!!!! Star Wars set in 2024, 21 Harry Potter sets and 37 Marvel sets. If they wanted to they could easily make a couple of Pirates, Space and Castle sets every year or focus on one original theme every year and release 5-6 sets for that theme and then switch to another the next year. I'm 100% certain that this would be profitable but I believe certain people within the company wouldn't let this happen. When people like Peter Eio got more influence in the company in the mid to late 90s they started to dismantle most original in house themes. Before that he was held back by some of the executives but he managed to get permission from the ownership in 1998 to pursue licensing deals and then the downfall started.
  8. The Pirate Boats ride has always been my favorite. All Legoland parks are great in their own way but Legoland Billund is very special to me because I spent many happy childhood summers in Denmark and we always went there. We had an RV and drove all over Europe but we liked to spend most of the time in Denmark. Sometimes we also drove there with our regular car and then we stayed at Billund Kro (nowadays Refborg Hotel).
  9. I didn't get any answer from him but I talked to some other people and the builds are most likely MOCs. The creator is a member of the Danish LUG Byggepladen and the whole thing is most likely some sort of collaboration between them and Legoland.
  10. I've voted for you. I hope Tapu Island becomes a real set.
  11. Is Spyrius the most underrated Space subtheme? Their sets are very unique with the robots, especially 6949 Robo Guardian which is one of my favorite Space sets.
  12. But why crash test Lego vehicles? Minifig safety? When I was a kid I had a crazy classmate with a lot of money that used to set action figures on fire. This falls into the same category.
  13. I found these sails on an Ebay store I use to buy sails from. It looks so much better with cloth sails Has anyone here put cloth sails on 31109? https://www.ebay.com/itm/255245097311 https://www.ebay.com/str/passionforbricks3?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211
  14. Beautiful! That ship looks fantastic! Some day I'll do the same thing. There is an Austrian on Ebay (passionforbricks3) who makes custom and replica sails for the BSB and other ships. Both one and two sided. I have ordered from him and the quality is very good. The sails are a little bit softer than the originals. If you ever need more sails I can recommend him. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264848766171 https://www.ebay.com/str/passionforbricks3?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211
  15. I agree 100%. They should really cut back on the licensed stuff and focus more on in house themes.
  16. Always nice to see new M-Tron MOCs! You have some very clever part usage there and the white pieces look great.
  17. Seeing this picture got me inspired to build it. I've ordered the baseplate and wall sections and now I'm waiting for them to arrive. When I've built it I'll post some pictures in the idea book thread.
  18. I'm currently building the Imperial fort from idea book 260. I ordered the wall parts and baseplate and now I'm waiting for them to arrive. I'll post some pictures when it's completed.
  19. Same here, with the amount of SP1 MOCs and stuff online I thought more people would've voted for SP1. So far 36 people have voted and maybe this group is too small to get completely accurate results? Or is Blacktron interfering with the election?
  20. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  21. I don't understand why they chose the Endurance. HMS Endeavour would've been a much better choice because it's historical importance and meaning for modern civilization. It would appeal to both Pirates and history fans as well as fans of display sets. With the ship being from the right time period it would've been easy to convert it to a pirate or Imperial ship.
  22. That would be fantastic. Do you have any links with more information? The HMS Endeavour from 1764 would be a perfect fit for the Pirates theme if it will be minifigure scale. A minifig of James Cook would be fantastic! So far I've only heard rumors about a set based on the Endurance, a polar expedition ship from 1912 which is way too modern for the Pirates theme.
  23. With Eldorado Fortress retiring in December this year and the Creator Pirate Ship to retire in December 2025 I'm wondering if we'll get any Pirates sets after that. What do you think the future will bring us? Icons, Creator, or Ideas sets or another long drought like 2003-2008?
  24. They should make an entire CMF series based on this minifig but with underwear and arms in different colors.
