  1. That shape you made with the base plate, perfect, that's the only word, it perfectly represents the shape of those old star forts that they used to make :) Here are some suggestions though, first as I stated with your Caribbean clipper there are too many minifigs for this to be a set, and maybe one or two too many guns. Other than this I would make a place for the minifigs to stay when they're not on duty, even a small table would work and perhaps you could add a way for this to attach to the old Eldarado fortress. Anyway, your set looks great so far, so happy building :)
  2. A nice ship you have there, perhaps if there was a real set in the '90s it would have fewer cannons, and less crew members, besides this, there are some other changes I would make, first I would find a way to attach the rowboat to the stern of the ship and perhaps getting rid of the net in front of the ship, unless there is a purpose for it (but is sort of obscures the figurehead), and make those flags face the opposite direction to make it look like the ship is sailing ;) Other than this the color palette is nicely done, so anyway, happy building :)
  3. Nice, but we need some clarification is this one set or multiple as I think there are more than 50 parts, anyway the soldiers look great (now if only I could find those dual molded white and black legs on PAB) Other than this the accessories look great almost like a battle pack I would change that orange guy or clarification on the uniform distinctions anyway, happy building :)
  4. That tree looks awesome I will take a new design any day :) other than this you need to revisit that mast does the bars even attach to that plate? Anyway a lovely build and happy building :)
  5. A nice start but it looks like you didn't finish tile that side of the ship, speaking of which looks to be too tall, is this meant to be a water line model or the entire hull? Other than this the shape of the of the ship is perfect, btw the tan could also be a medium azure at least some other builders have done this. The cannons look great even though Lego would never come out with these, there are some things that I would change though first, you need a box image and other photos showing some Minifigures in your ship. Anyway, the masts look out of place perhaps one in front could go more toward the middle of the ship, other than this a great build overall and happy building but step on it there's only a day left :)
  6. Awesome, and you certainly are way ahead of me on this, and your Photoshop work is perfect just like your set
  7. A nice build and I think I spot some playability in there perhaps you could add a drawn-on arrow to indicate this? Perhaps you could also change those light grey tiles to the tan color of the sand, and center the island on the water plates? Other than this I would revisit the raft and finish whatever the front was supposed to be I see teeth plates and some arches but aren't quite sure what they are. Also maybe you could add one imperial to the mix in case the buyer would want to have them fight. Anyway, Happy building and I look forward to any updates and or new mocs that you make :)
  8. I agree with @Mazin that an animal should be in order, and overall the build looks great but I would swap the face of the minifigure, and although he might be happy about the treasure I would picture a more of a gnarled sailors face, anyway, happy building :) Oh, and welcome to the forum :)
  9. Now all my worries are cleared up and very ingenious invention :)
  10. @dilligan my eyes are saved ;) Anyway, I love the updates, the dark red chimney was a great call and the bottom of the tree looks better now, anyway I look forward to any more updates, and as always, happy building :)
  11. Aye, a man who has his monkeys in order, while I on the other hand first don't like the look of the old one and don't understand why Lego never made the newer one poseable, anyway I still think the seaweed should still be on a 1x1 as you said the set is very sturdy any way so I think your good in that department :)
  12. I totally agree, just don't make the ship too much like a mini Pirates of Barracuda Bay :)
  13. Very nice, the small dory and a relaxing island were a good call, and it has everything one could want, animals, a boat, minifigures, and gold. The only thing I would change is the seaweed, I don't quite understand the medium azure 1x2 clip instead of the 1x1 clip. Other than this I would say to change the monkey but it's not in stud.io so, anyway happy building :)
  14. Lovely, the extra sails were a good call along with some of the other colors, and even though back then I recall they did not use dark brown that much for pieces, I would recommend changing the decks for this or black because I think the white decks are a bit bright and couldn't be kept clean for quite long. My only other problem that I have with the ship is all the new pieces, on an old-looking ship, is there any reason that you did not make a complete remake of the set? For instance, why not just make all the new gold pieces yellow, or add a torch instead of a lantern (btw I love those lanterns, very clever). Anyway, Happy building :)
  15. No, I just wanted to make that rudder, well less useless, but perhaps I'm overcomplicating it, as they are pretty far apart :)
  16. Amazing, I massive set but it looks great at every angle :) Here are my suggestions, first I would love to see more up-close pictures, second I want less of a repetitive feel as there are 3 alligators, 3 canoes, 4 bridges, Etc... Also, this is a great build but a bit too large for my liking, it seems it could almost be like 2 sets, now with the updated photos, perhaps we could get some close-ups of the play features? I also see a lot of skeleton heads, perhaps you could add some of the other bones around the build, also I believe there should be a place for the islanders to feast once the battle is over and some food for them. Anyway and great build albeit a bit large but great job and happy building :)
  17. The first thing that strikes me is the stern and the gold choices of the hooded figure and the axe, it might be just me but it looks like an early 1700s pirate ship raiding the seas and capturing a galleon or two. The colors and the way the ship is built is fine, I would only add a bit more dark red to match the sails. The only thing that strikes me badly is there are no pictures of the crew, perhaps there is a flamboyant captain or a grizzled old sea dog? Other than this is there any interiors or dare I ask for a comic or a back story (fingers crossed :) Anyway, Happy building to you and your collaborators :)
  18. Aye, I see for the cannon you might be able to pull off something with this part Plate, Round 2 x 2 with 6 Gear Teeth / Flower Petals: Part 35442 | BrickLink with Turntable 2 x 2 Plate with Light Gray Top (3680 / 3679) : Part 3680c01 | BrickLink. Other than this, I get what you said, but I love the fact that you are remaking these sets, keep up the good work
  19. Perfect, if looks great as it always was, the only thing I would update is the colors, add some more color to the right side of the build, and perhaps a back of the box would look nice to show the play functions (if you have the time), anyway
  20. I looks great now, just change that blue float to red, but I love that blow dart, another Indiana Jones reference :)
  21. I love that medium nougat for the floor and other color choices, the rest of the build especially the candle, perfect. Now all we need to see is the back of the cabin, perhaps there is a cool design, or was this axed, because of the part limit? Anyway, happy building :)
  22. I love this, tons of playability and a great-looking set to play or display, here are my suggestions, when I was thinking, about the rudder and saw the cannon I was like, wait that rudder is useless so why not make it move the cannon, and while there is not much time left in the contest I would love to see this. I would also like to see a bit more living space for the pirates, perhaps they use the ship as an armory, the tower as eating and sleeping space? Also for the bridge, I would like to see one made of String with End Studs 21L overall with Rope Climbing Grips (16.1cm) : Part 63141 | BrickLink as some other builders have done. Other than this I am very impressed with your work but you left me lost with those Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Open U Clip (Vertical Grip) - Solid Stud : Part 60475 | BrickLink on all sides of the build, near the bottom, are they used for something? Anyway, Happy building :)
  23. Perfect, and thanks for listening to the critics :) But... I see you chose the old minifigure instead of the new one on stud.io, any reason?
  24. It looks great now with the changes, the only thing I would change is centering the island on the water perhaps there is a reason for this, anyway happy building :)

Welcome to the forum @Yar, the first thing that strikes me about your build is there is no back story, we need to know a little about the set is it a remake of a new design, and what is that a lost waterfall and the gold of the Aramada, guarded by the animals of the forest or is it hidden by the islanders after they murdered the king. We also need more images of all the angles of the build, does it have any playability functions? Anyway, I feel I need to know a bit more about this before I can look it over and give some critiques, anyway happy building :) On a side note, Eurobricks does not allow you to directly post into the forum you have to use an image hosting site like Flickr, or Bricksafe and then paste the link into the topic your creating :)
