The set looks pretty good so far, here are some things I would swap, a sword for the pirate captain, a bottle of rum instead of a teacup, and although they don't have the new monkey in stud.io I would, in theory, swap it for the new one, and perhaps a gem or a gold coin. Anyway, Happy building :)

I agree with @Horation the red and white look the best :)
-
As long as there's a set of coins for playability it thinks your good :)
-
Other that the green sails the set looks perfect it has lots of playability and looks great, so Happy building :)

An excellent set that I could totally could have come out back then, my only suggestions are fixing the plain black wall and adding a place to hide the treasure. The only other thing is their gold in that treasure chest or did they lose it on the way to the dock?

[ENTRY] 1872 Imperial Guard Camp Remake (Mini Set)
Rogue Redcoat replied to thewatchman's topic in Pirate MOCs
This is awesome, the parts that I love are the islander head, the minifigs, and the fire, my only suggestion is to get rid of the rod with all the leaves on it, its not very visible and does not add much playability to the set. Other than this your good, Happy building :) -
I love your proposed entry all I would do is add a bit more tan or dark tan to make it look like more sand and fewer rocks. The only other thing I would suggest is to make the base plate rounded with 4 Plate, Round Corner 6 x 6 : Part 6003 | BrickLink in the same color as you have now. Anyway, Happy building :)

[ENTRY] SIN ISLAND: Keg & Cutlass Inn + Comic book
Rogue Redcoat replied to Marooned Marin's topic in Pirate MOCs
I can totally see Lego releasing something like this, only with a few exceptions, first the coming and the pictures would need to be cleaned up (ah hem be kept "PG"), and second, there are too few colors being used in the build, I would want to see some yellow, and dark red or red. Other than that there is one thing that keeps catching my eye, the fire (maybe a rotating spit could do with some varying foods). Other than this maybe add a front to the rooms and allow us to see a nice outside and the inside when we spin the build around. Anyway, Happy building :) -
It looks perfect now and thanks for taking all of our creative critics into consideration! But now that this one is complete I might ask... What's next... another entry... ? (because I hope so :)

A beautiful small set (I can see TLG totally releasing a set like this if they bring back pirates). I have some suggestions though, first, the minifigures need a new look to look more like menacing pirates, also add some more imperials for the pirates to fight when there not drinking. Also, I would update the tree (if you have the pieces) and add a bit more dark grey to the rocks off to the right (because I see some on the left). Overall there are great possibilities and play features with this set, so happy building :)

But the idea is to update the set right?

[ENTRY] 6278/6292 Enchanted Island Remake

Yeh, I also used to think this but when I tried stud.io I fell in love with it, now I'm not held back by the prices of Lego and waiting for parts to start my build.- 67 replies

A very nice remake, with all the playability and clever use of pieces ()Ijust love that drawer with the smile pieces) having said this I think the entry needs to be remade a little more, here are my suggestions. First, although it does not look the best I think you should build online with stud.io (I just started using it myself, and think it is pretty straightforward) I only think this because you seem to be too held back by limited bricks (just like me). Other than this I would update the colors like tan for sand, and light blue for water, like other Lego sets (Pirates of barracuda bay and Eldorado Fortress). After the colors are updated, I think it would look perfect, anyway Happy building :)

First, I love the backstory and all the great images to go along with it, all the sabers look great (especially the ones that make up the railing). My only suggestions are to make the dock black and allow us to see inside the tower (if there is an inside) and lastly add some light grey bricks at the top of the rocks to make it pop. That's it, anyway Happy building :)

Yeh, I agree with others, the updates look great but the front sail needs to match the other striped one, or just get rid of it.

Looks pretty nice, but boy are you lucky to have 1 if not 2 Imperial flagships, I have been looking to buy one, but they're like $1000 and I am pretty sure it's just cheaper to buy the parts. Anyway, can we see some photos of all those redcoats if you still have them?

Huh, I can find it Large Skeleton Storage Head – Green 5007889 | Other | Buy online at the Official LEGO® Shop US

I see now, and I love the wagon :)

Looks great, any reason why you used dark brown epaulets though?

[ENTRY] 6277 Imperial Trading Post Remake
Rogue Redcoat replied to Rogue Redcoat's topic in Pirate MOCs
@Mazin As stated I worked within the walls of building digitally, I am however going to add a hook for the crane and try to render it in a string to make the build have more playability. As for the cannon, I went back and forth with a moveable cannon (you can take it off the base and move it into the fort if you want). The barrels I wanted to be able to load onto the ship and add them to the crane when I add a hook :) Anyway, I will be updating the pictures soon to the standards of the last photo (and I will add some close-ups ;) Also, thx for your comments
