  1. Regular minifigs fit as long as they have the armor. I believe Front said the hand width of the Heroes is different compared to a regular minifig, so they wouldn't be able to hold the controls.
  2. Concept wise? Sure it's there. Execution... Not so much. The fist is adorable and looks nice, but the awkward angles of the cockpits makes I look kinda funny. But I do like its short stature. Freeze and Stealth is probably the best out of them all, but the arms are the only drawback. Kaiju combiner... Good, but just seems like a beefed up Splitter Beast in the long-run. And a clunky appearance doesn't do anything for him. Evo XL to the extreme: Like I said at the start, concept is there, but the execution in lackluster. Just strapping arms to an already massive figure just seems really cheap.
  3. I know you were joking about Flyer Beast being Breez's pet, but. What if she does tame him? She can talk to animals after all. Plus, that would give reason as to why she doesn't get a mech; she flies on the Beast. Anywho, great review. Never realized how striking Flyer Beast really is. Excited for this one. And Breez also looks fairly nice. I'll probably build a mech for her one of these days.
  4. Do we have a reason as to why they're delayed?
  5. I don't see why the seats aren't just metallic colors. Despite some of these sets being metallic-heavy, those colors are more versatile as opposed to lime and orange. As for the set itself, not interested. I stick to what I said with this set being flimsy looking. That combined with a lack of pose-able legs, easy pass. But thanks for the review.
  6. Who knows, but it kinda makes me upset. I like to build new HF sets Christmas morning, and now it's not going to happen (didn't happen last year either since Brain Attack was later than usual as well). Hopefully it's just a worst-case-scenario estimate and we could be seeing them earlier. BZP now has Furno Jet Machine as well.
  7. Review of Evo Walker is now up on BZP. Along with a video review if that suits your fancy. And yeah, it's a special shipment from Lego. Looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for them to be released. A lot longer:
  8. Same Target fiasco happened to me, too. All sets minus Mechdragon and Destructoid. This close to getting Overborg Attack. This close... I'm at least happy that they're showing up in stores aside from TRU (markups). Guess I'll just wait for December 1st.
  9. Honestly, I don't see why normal figs wouldn't work. They would need to wear the armor as that's what's hooking them on, but still. It seems like it should work.
  10. It seems there's an open balljoint on Evo XL just under to cockpit. It may be possible to put some cladding on there to cover the feet.
  11. Just occurred to me that the little Kaiju's lower halves are going to be made out of some sort of rubbery material. Seems pretty obvious, but it just didn't click until now. Also, I love how the black tops of the mini Kaiju are pretty generic. Seems that they could be used for extra details on MoCs.
  12. I'm more so wondering where he lives. I'd like to know where these have been released.
  13. Pictures yay! Ahem. Evo XL looks great now despite what I said before. Definitely getting it over the Walker. Also, I'm equally interested in the comic. Giant 3-headed beast (look at it compared to Splitter Beast!). Also, that wheeled thing is indeed Stormer Freeze Machine. The "wheel" is actually the gun hand. Oh, and did anyone else notice Daniela Capricorn being attacked by Jaw Beast? Lower left corner of the first panel.
  14. Wish there was more going on with the smaller half of Splitter Beast. He's really bare. I'll see what I can do once I get him to armor him up. That being said, it's nice to get a back view of the packaging, so thanks Mesonak. Also love that we got new shots of the Heroes. Much easier to see how they look now that we have head-on shots.
  15. I, personally like the all black, similar looking Kaiju. It kinda ties them together as being part of the same group (don't want to say species, because they're all still pretty different). Plus, the all black with bright secondary colors reminds me of the Kaiju from Pacific Rim. And I wouldn't worry about Splitter Beast not splitting. The name, multiple limbs, and the fact that there are feet wrapped around his lower chest all point to a splitting function.
  16. I was looking at the set pictures again and noticed that the pieces connecting Rocka's Machine's claws are new. Well, they're not the T-shaped pieces that connected Hydraxon's fingers to his hands, at least. Not sure if they're new, per say, but still. Interesting. Don't remember if anyone pointed that out.
  17. You can only get 4 from the Beasts. Rocka can only be gotten with his Machine. Which is weird considering how much they push Rocka. Still, it's a good majority. I'll be getting both Machines and Beasts just because they're all too good to pass up (though I'm still unsure on Evo's Machines).
  18. Not a huge fan of Chima, but the Spider, Bat, and Rhino Tank thing are pretty neat looking. I'll probably pick 'em up. Minifigs are cool too, so there's a plus.
  19. Which is what I'm considering doing. And once there're reviews of the sets, maybe I'll make a decision then. But now that you bring up those points, Evo XL does look promising. @Timeline15: There's an icon in the top left corner of all your post options. It's the "toggle editing mode". Same thing happened to me. Click it and you should be able to make a new line.
  20. Jaw Beast looks nice. Very cute little beasty. May have to get multiples. Evo Walker... Good job on the custom build. However, it looks very flimsy. The front leg connection, the turret connection, the seat connection. I can just see that I'd be able to toss it around and crumple it in my hands. Not a very sturdy build. Mainly the fact that the gun is separate from the seat. And the seat itself is hooked on the back leg of the walker. I want to get a one of Evo's mechs, but not necessarily both. But they both have such... strange design choices that I'm not sure which to get. I'll have to think on it.
  21. I was sure I didn't want Evo XL. But now that I see it from different angles... I may actually consider it. I'll wait for a review, though. The legs really hurt the figure for me.
  22. Let's face it. Earth has the only organic life in the galaxy. The rest is composed of robots.
  23. Wow. That's amazing. Praise to the designers. Yeah, agreed with Shakar. We need more of this sort of creativity in designs. And we also see why the Waspix piece is sort of the god-piece. So much connection potential.
  24. I can't figure out how FJM's body is built. The shoulders are pretty easy to see, but I also see bones kind of underneath the chest (in the picture, at least), and I can't figure out how they attach or what they do.
  25. I'm just going to go with my explanation and say that all the robots that weren't built (service bots, Heroes, etc) are, indeed, organic. It's just that they've evolved over time to form mechanical-like bodies. This makes it easy for them to copy their bodies to make functioning robots out of inorganic material. Then Quaza came around and allowed them the ability to implement AI into the robots. Because Quaza's magic.
