  1. After taking a closer look at the Toyfair pictures, I gotta say "wow". These sets are drawing me in more and more. Definitely going to have to get quite a few of these. Also noticed Toxikita's biohazard skull and crossbones design on her shirt. Or something along those lines. That's pretty creative.
  2. I liked the episode quite a lot, actually. Sure, the voice acting wasn't so great, and the ending was wacked, but otherwise I thought it was great. As a matter of fact, I watched it around three times (I only recall re-watching episodes around that many times with Oof and SP) The fight scenes were enjoyable and the art direction was astounding (best I've seen in any HF episode. Just check out that Splitter Beast battle). Yeah, it was a bit rushed, but considering they wanted to cram every set into a span of 20 minutes, I can forgive them for the pacing. And if you ask me, the execution of having equal screen time for all the sets was quite a feat (though I will admit, a longer run-time would have suited them better). And I guess that explains the quickness of the machines being destroyed, but honestly that just adds to the fact of how tough the Beasts are. Overall, in my opinion, there was a lot of cool and interesting stuff going on in the episode alongside some pretty bad parts. But I wouldn't dismiss it as "the worst HF episode ever" or "the worst thing Lego has made". But maybe it's just me. I tend to look on the positive sides of things. As a matter of fact, I can't really say I hated any HF episode (except "Von Nebula". That was the most anti-climactic ending I've ever seen). Or maybe I'm just watching these not expecting much because I know I'm not going to get much. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed it. May give it another watch later on...
  3. Eh. I don't mind the cocoons. I'm just hoping the one on Tunneler Beast is GitD. Because that'd be pretty sweet.
  4. Um. Wow. Thanks, man. I don't know what to say. But despite how flattered I am, I'm not sure if this merits its own topic. A simple PM would have sufficed. Still, thanks for your kind words.
  5. I can't wait to get the orange Mixels. Mustache crab guy is all sorts of win.
  6. Got Flain, Krader, and Teslo at the Lego store. They're all so cute. I... I may just have to get them all now. I think out of the three, Krader is my favorite. And he comes with a Nixel, so that's cool.
  7. Well, I can reinforce confirmation that the sets are available in the US. Between the Lego store and Walmart, all sets were available except for Evo Walker, Stormer Freeze Machine, and Jaw Beast.
  8. But now that Evo's the new Rocka, I'd prefer someone else. A new polybag is nice to hear, but like other's have said... Evo...
  9. June/July ish, if I remember correctly. Can't be certain, though since it seems like it always varies from year to year.
  10. As said above, nail polish or super glue works on other action figures. Haven't tried it on Lego, though. Just be sure to put a small amount and continuously rotate the joint in all possible directions while it dries. That way you get full coverage and it won't stick in place.
  11. That's cool to hear. I'm in southern Illinois, so hopefully they're here too. I may be going to the Lego store this weekend, and with other stores along the way, maybe I'll find something.
  12. That's good to hear. Don't know when I'll be able to go to my local Lego store, but hopefully I'll find them in other stores what with other new sets coming out anyway.
  13. Just saw an episode on TV. It was the one where the Infernites unclog the pipes, and I see what you mean. Especially at the end where ice cream fixes everything. Where'd that come from?
  14. I don't see why they just don't use the Hydraxon hand design. Maybe different fingers, but that general design. Though I guess the problem with that is there's no way to attach a weapon.
  15. Oh my goodness. I don't know if I can handle the sheer craziness of it all. I need to get me some of these guys pronto.
  16. Hooray for more angles! Anywho. I think Surge's mech would look better if all the legs were closer to the body. That's how it was in the show, and it looked much nicer. Spread out like that just shows how spindly the legs are. Bulk's Drilling Machine is shaping up to be pretty nice. Wasn't quite sure how I felt about it, but it's looking pretty good. The Flea Machine appears to have a spindle and thread. So that's cool. Also, does anyone else hope the cocoons are a solid plastic/rubber blend? With the bottom being solid and the colored leaf sections being rubbery? Just seems like it'd be sturdier that way.
  17. Decided to pop in here, and I'm glad I did. These sets look fantastic. Definitely want to pick some of these sets up. And those villains look delightful. Infearno especially. Red Galaxy Patrol Guy armor
  18. Yay! Breez gets her own little humanoid mech. I was going to build one myself, but this saves me the trouble. Though I may still build a mech considering this is essentially Rocka's Climber Machine. Hope I can get my hands on a couple of these. I wonder how they'll be released. If it's anything like the black brain poly, it should be pretty easy. Seems like a cheap way to get some IFB parts like the seat.
  19. I don't know. Black seems to be covered with the stone-based Mixels. Granted they're dark grey, but still. Close enough to black if you ask me.
  20. I don't buy doubles for the collection. But I will, on occasion, for parts. And even then if it's a sale or something. I rarely buy a set for parts at regular retail price.
  21. I got 2 Rocka XLs for parts once. They were 15 bucks each, and I couldn't pass that up. I'm tempted to get multiples of the Kaiju, but I'm not normally a "buy multiples" kind of person... Maybe 2 Crystal Beasts because I'm addicted to trans parts.
  22. Loving how the water motif blends the blue and lime together. Very creative.
  23. I went yesterday, and nothing. But since they're on the website, I expect to see them available soon. If not, well, it's only roughly three more weeks.
  24. The blue guy on the left uses helmets for eyelids. That's awesome. And, hey, there are Nixels!
  25. So. Amidst all the news of new toys, it seems this slipped under the radar: The US Toys R Us site has some of the new sets online. Can't order them yet, but it says they're sold in stores. Hopefully I'll be able to go there if the weather's decent to see if they're there. I have my doubts, but their appearance on the site makes me hope they'll be worming their way out into stores soon (pre-March 1st, that is).
