Not yet. Or Jaw Beast, for that matter. Sad, really. I want to see what they look like finalized.

Honestly, I hope the minifig heads are transparent, non-printed pieces. One of my biggest issues with minifig helmets is that I can't turn the head very easily. Since the helmet connection is looser than the neck, the helmet just swivels around and the head stays stationary. And it bugs me when the eyes don't line up. And transparent for light-up eyes, and minifig heads look cool when they're transparent.

Evo XL still looks pretty bad. 'Specially the legs, which are not only gappy but still lack ankle articulation. If only it could look like how it does on the top of the packaging. Though, I must admit, the right arm construction is pretty neat. Anywho, the art looks absolutely fantastic. And I thought the prelim art was great. Also, loving Splitter's color scheme. The orange and blue is laid out perfectly so you can't really tell where one beast starts and the other ends.

Nah. Check the Freeze Machine's packaging. Looks like it's a new piece to me. Most likely two so it can hinge open (add that to the list, Aanchir). Plus it's too big to be a treasure chest. Unless there's some newer, larger chest that I'm not aware of...

Ah. Yeah, I see it. But it seems only some minifigs have it. Evo from the Walker set appears to have a grey one, and Stormer, a trans light blue one. But the pictures are too small to make out any sort of detail. Also, just noticed that the trans bones on Jaw Beast's legs are the smallest bones. Not sure how I feel about that. I think I would have preferred longer ones so you could attach something to it.
-
I don't see anything... I think the light blue is just background color. And the grey bit on the arm is just extraneous detail.
-
I'd imagine the flame pieces would be the same ones seen in BA Stormer. Just seems like it'd be an unnecessary recolor when the already existing one would work just as well.

Beautifully done! I just love everything about it, I can't pick one specific point that stands out to me. Also, love the Inika torso usage. Kinda like using it as a base skeleton and building around it. This makes me want to crack out my box of parts and build something.

That's what I was thinking. Make a constraction villain for the minifig Heroes. That way they can still be big and imposing. My only problem is that they may be too big considering the beasts follow this pattern. But small bones and XT4 torso should make up for that.

??? I love and hate your posts. They're always so interesting, but I hardly ever can make heads or tails of what you're talking about.

Like I said before, fluorescent colors are the best, and bones would be welcome in such colors. Just think of the cool under glow that would give.

Unless Evo XL changes drastically between now and his release, I'm not getting him. Judging by the looks of things, he doesn't even have ankle articulation which is a huge downside. Plus, the set is kind of pointless since you can get Evo in two other sets, one of which already giving him a mech.

The beasts. The beasts look great. Splitter and Flyer Beast's look particularly nice with the Hero jumping into action. I just like 'em. Also, did anyone else notice that the Heroes (or some of them) have the Alien Conquest ADU gun? Y'now, the double-barrel pistol? Nice of them to include weapons for the minifig Heroes. EDIT: Didn't even notice the Heroes had weapons. So not only are there ADU guns but also a saw and wrench among others. But what I said still stands; nice of them to give the minifig Heroes weapons.

Alright. Here we go. Evo Walker: Definitely the worst out of them all. Very small. Very simplistic. However, the legs give it some possibilities. With the ball cup open, you could easily attach it to another figure as some sort of mounted cannon. Maybe this is where they were going with it? Evo XL Machine: Creative build, I'll give it that. However, from what I can see of the legs, they look atrocious. The pelvis too. But it is supposed to be a huge mech, so I guess gappy-ness can be excused (still looks bad, though). Also, minifig Evo's helmet in this set looks like Rocka's. Perhaps it's just a mistake because it's a preliminary picture. Breez vs Flyer Beast: Looks great, honestly. Loving the new head design. I find it cool that he also wields what appears to be some sort of antenna. Like he broke it off of a building to use as a weapon. I also noticed he uses new foot pieces which I believe are on the Ningago Mech Dragon. Along with some technic pieces on the feet which may or may not be part of the mold. Don't think so, though. Furno Jet Machine: Looks great. Not much else to say. Stormer vs Jaw Beast: Not too impressive. But purple and trans bones are more than welcome. Alongside new claw feet. Seem to be more Hero Factory-ized Piraka feet. Those claws on the hands also look pretty useful. Rocka Stealth Machine: Another great mech alongside Furno's. My only real complaint is that the claw looks a little cobbled together. Otherwise, pretty cool. I like the bulky upper half look he's go going. Furno and Evo vs Splitter Beast: Pure awesomeness. Huge, two headed monsters are always cool. Something to note with this one: It looks as if he has two sets on arms. Two "normal" ones and two spike ones (like Jaw Beast). That alongside what appears to be something wrapping around his chest and his two heads makes me think that he actually does split. Calling it now. (EDIT: shoot, VBBN beat me to it) Oh. And street lamp. Most fearsome weapon in the galaxy. Stormer Freeze Machine: These Machines seem to be the stars of these sets as this one is awesome as well. Other side notes: Seems like I may be right in thinking the small spider critters are babies and the beasts are more matured versions. Also, has anyone looked at the bag top? Those graphics are amazing! Hope that's how they look in the show.

I like it. Can't wait to see official, un watermarked pictures. I'll reserve more thoughts for later when the designs sink in, and I can form a good opinion.
-
Agreed on that part. The suspense is killing me!

Yes. All of my yes. I love the look of that thing. I want, like, five of them. Though it is sad that some of the others didn't make it. But I'm happy with the Exo Suit.

No, Breez has been a character from the start of the story. When I said she doesn't have an individual set, I was referring to this wave only (I assume that statement is what prompted you to ask?). The Hero minifigs are featured in villain sets and their own individual set. The individual release has them with a mech. However, Breez only appears this time around in a villain set and doesn't have her own individual mech set. For more info about the character, see Chro's post above mine. EDIT: On a side note, your post brings up an interesting prospect. You say you hated HF, but now not so much because there are minifigs. Looks like they did something right. The inclusion of minifigs will more than likely draw in more people to Hero Factory and Constraction themes in general. Good job, Lego. Good job.
-
If the large set is true, I hope it's a two pack. A large, unique villain and Breez with her machine. Breez because she's the only one who doesn't have an individual set.
-
Oh my gosh, please let it be a Category 5. :D The Heroes need something flippin' massive to fight. I should get my parts out and build some mechs and Kaiju (and just for the record, yes. I'm going to classify the beasts as Kaiju).

Exo-Force mini movie. That's probably where I got the idea when I was typing the post. So something like that is most likely (and what I hope is) what we'll be seeing. Just make all the minifig printing actual 3D detailing, and I think it'll look great.
-
Still, the Hero designs will most likely be closer to the designs of the minifigures and not just re-used CGI models from the BA episode. Because, k'now. To sell toys. Though I do wonder how the CGI models will be handled. Will they look exactly like the minifigs, or will they be somewhat modified to look a bit more realistic?
-
Honesty, it seems to me that the only part from a minifig that would be used for the Heroes would be the body (and the head unless they do something like with the GS robots). The legs were described as bulky, so I doubt they're regular minifig legs. The only other option would something like the 2006 Bionicle minifigs/Exo-Force robots where they were completely separate from minifig builds all together like the arms and hands being separate pieces.
-
A Hero Factory building as a playset would be nice to see just because. Heck, if they wanted to go all out, they could give it a splitting open function like the Monster Fighters Haunted House. However, I kinda doubt we'll see this set come to be. But it would be cool. I'm really wanting to see pictures. Especially the minifigs. The idea of minifig Heroes has settled in and I want to see what they look like. Also, speaking of the minifigs, I hope they're printed with a good amount of detail. The CCBS doesn't provide for very detailed, mechanical looks, but minifig printing can achieve this.

I don't care as long as they're fluorescent. I'm obsessed with shining black light on Lego. Ah, Trans bones... There is a god.
