One suggestion was that only the MoCr (and possibly the Skull Spider) has the clip connection. And the mask would slip over another mask a la the Mask of Time in the LoMN movie. Seems like a stretch to me, but it would be an interesting turn of events. Also, do we know if the MoCr is going to be in any of these sets? It so far hasn't appeared, so I figure it'll be an Ignika deal where we don't have a physical version until later (not counting Vezon's flip-head). Unless they just haven't included it yet since the pictures we've seen aren't finalized.

I hope Friday reveals a bit more story details. It would be nice to periodically get updates on the story and then the huge Comic Con reveal. Also, not sure if anyone pointed this out, but Onua uses the large Beast feet. Not much, but it's interesting.

Oh wow. I'm not sure if I'm more surprised at how cool the figures look, or the straight-up duplication of Lego's packaging. -
More info Friday? Cool beans. But seeing as how NYCC is going to be the big reveal, I won't expect much. I'm in the "website reveal" boat, but hopefully there'll be at least a bit more. Release date would be nice. I want to know if I'll get Bonkles for Christmas.

Then how do you explain Tahu, Lewa, and everyone else? Sure they're the main cast, but other characters can easily be brought back and not have a name change. Just because it's a reboot doesn't mean we need name changes. If Takanuva was fluorescent, what color would he be? There's not many fluorescent parts that really scream "light powers". If fluorescent yellow wasn't discontinued, I'd say that. Personally, I think fluorescent blue could work, and I don't think they've made shells in that color either (yay recolors!).

Eye color... I don't really care. But my preferences lie in fluorescent colors. Because black light. Ooh! Idea! Bring in Takanuva and have him use loads of fluorescent pieces. That would look sick under black light.

Should it be a reboot, it would be cool to see a Toa team of just some of the stand-alone characters. A team with Lhikan, Lesovikk, and Takanuva would be the coolest thing in the world. And they could just market them as being Legendary Toa or somesuch.

Well, this topic slowed down considerably... SO. Do you think they'll release new iterations of the Toa every year like how the same set of Heroes were released every year in HF (with design changes, of course)? Or do you think it'll be like the original Bionicle where every couple years or so introduced a new set of Toa. I'm hoping the latter. Seeing Tahu and co. would get kinda boring after the first couple appearances.

How's the shoulder articulation? It seems it would lose some inward movement with the gears in the way.

Today I picked up Wizwuz, Glomp, and Hoogi. As expected, all are very cool. Also, I think Spikels are my favorite of Series 3. They're just so adorable.

If I remember correctly, the KK helmets just kinda flop up and down unlike the Beast jaws which were more ratcheted and clicky (or however you want to describe their locking mechanism).

I, for one, hate the notion of clip-on masks like the Constraction Knights Kingdom figures. I would much prefer an axle connection. Much easier to work with on MoCs. With clip-on, they would really only work with the head they were designed to attach to (or something similar) whether that be the BA head or otherwise. In other news: yay! Bionicle!

For some reason I have a hunch there'll be at least one new piece in the gearbox assembly, which would fix any insecurities in the design.

Onua is why I'm hoping they all have two knobs, but I understand that wider shoulders: more room for gears. The one Leewan posted seems closest since I can see two gears on top of each other in the armpit region of Lewa. And since you, JayWalker, say it provides enough friction, I feel this is the best design.

I love how everyone's just posting images of gearboxes. Not that I mind. Some of these ideas are great. Personally, I want one of three things: 1) only have one arm swing, 2) have two knobs that independently swing the arms, or 3) tight enough gears to where the function can be ignored. Combination of two and three would be best. In the end, I just don't want the arms to swing together Toa Metru style.

Of all concepts I've seen, this so far is my favorite. Love how the function doesn't conjoin the arms. Each function is individual. Hopefully something like this is what we'll see. Just a bit more... Refined and elegant.

I can't believe tomorrow's the big day. Feels like I've waited such a long time for this. Tomorrow... ... Is Talk like a Pirate Day. :D But seriously. Super excited for the big reveal. Hoping for a poster of some kind akin to the old Toa lineup shots. That would be cool.

In terms of Pohatu's silver... I guess he's the new Bulk? Does silver appeal more to kids than brown? I guess I don't really mind it. It's growing on me. Stone isn't always brown, and there are plenty of grey rocks around. EDIT: No. Just... Get out.

Can we get that super-secret reference narrowed down a bit? Is it a reference to something regarding Lego (like the set designer initials on the Tremor Track) or referencing something outside Lego (Metal Gear Solid reference in Hurricane Heist)? Otherwise, I have no idea.

"Master of ..." sounds more like they control the element rather than they are the master of the tribe of a given element. Since we were kind of on topic of Lewa, I don't mind him being Jungle. But I would like it if the Miru became "Mask of Air" just so he can retain his old powers.

Or, Takanuva could be black/gunmetal and gold and have his shadow powers as well as light. Anything can happen in a reboot. Or they just keep white and gunmetal. @GK733: Takanuva, having light powers can change the color of his armor. He reverted back to gold at the end of 2008. Then he changed back to grey and white (for whatever reason) in 2010.

The cliffhangers started with Breakout. Plans for the Hero Factory were stolen and were shown to be given to who was presumably Von Nebula. And then the BA one you mentioned (including the mastermind behind the plot), and the end of IFB showed a beast cocoon in the ship as the Heroes were heading back to the Hero Factory. So, yeah. Quite a bit of unresolved plots. But I think the generally accepted theory is that these were prompts for kids to create their own stories. Which is kinda sad, in all honesty. Villain Factory would have been sweet. Oh, and the books. I never read them, but apparently it was building up to a giant galactic conspiracy. Then the books were cancelled, and that was never resolved, either.
