  1. Oh, I'll definitely MoC them if we don't get them, but something about building official combi models... I don't know. I just like it. Plus, having an official Akamai and Wairuha would be a big nostalgia factor.
  2. *Sigh*... All I want are Akamai and Wairuha in CCBS. Really hope Lego pulls through and gives us them as official combi models.
  3. I have no problem with the sets. Just MoCing, mainly. I remember creating some fish thing out of Bionicle pieces that had overlapping armor plates and a bunch of other stuff all centered around a body that was a rubber tube (the kind from the Zamor Launchers). Things like that just seem impossible with CCBS. After seeing your MoCs, I think the problem is I (and other people) am looking at the building systems entirely wrong. CCBS is an entirely different monster than Bionicle, and I now feel they really shouldn't be compared... They each have their Pros and Cons.
  4. I kinda hope they use the BA heads. I felt they were underused (only appearing for that year's sets as far as I recall). Plus, new colors of that piece would be great. As for CCBS, I feel my biggest issue is that it isn't as intricate as Bionicle's parts. I find it difficult to make really small or detailed MoCs by only using CCBS. Plus, a lot of the pieces only have ball and socket connection points, so there's not much variety there. This isn't to say it's bad by any means (maybe I'm just not skilled at it?), but I find Bionicle pieces are a lot more interesting to build with. Blending the two systems, though. Now that's fun. I'm not sad Bionicle uses CCBS, but I hope they put their all into these figures and show how great the building system can be.
  5. Little late on the conversation, but might as well: Not sure who my favorite Defender is. The Earth and Water seem most intriguing to me. I'm curious to see what kind of weapon the Water Defender has, and the Earth Defender seems to have wider shoulders and (best of all) a Black Phantom Mace in what appears to be purple (hopefully Trans?). And I'll probably be pleased with the Ice Defender since he comes with a saw (my favorite Lego piece) in trans light blue.
  6. Okay. I said before I'd highlight what I see for Lewa's mask in the picture: So... I really have no idea what's going on. The two masks look so different. And since I've been looking at it this way for so long, I have a hard time seeing anything otherwise.
  7. For some reason, every time I look at Lewa's gold mask, I see a top-down view. Mainly because both masks seem to have a vent-like mouth that kinda sticks out from the face. The gold one seems to show more of it protruding, while the green one shows more of the vent. It's hard to explain. Maybe later I'll highlight on the picture what I'm talking about.
  8. Here's some sketches of how I see the masks. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/kalhiki/Bionicle/2015biomasks.png Not saying they're accurate, that's just what I see.
  9. I'd like AntiMatter to have a mech, but would that be too similar to the Agents HQ set, which had a large Agents vehicle and a villain mech? For variety's sake, of course. Though a helicopter is nowhere close to a big rig, so it could still work.
  10. I think it's been discussed before, but there's definitely something going on with the torso. The shoulders are in line with the chest piece, which doesn't happen if it was a regular torso bone. And the torso shell covers the crotch. And look at Tahu. His body seems really thick; something seems to be going on with his back. It's either some crazy engineering, or a new torso. I vote the latter.
  11. Hey, that's pretty nice. The Defenders seem like they'll be fun little sets. And now that I see that, I don't really mind the Toa being tall. I remember in LoMN, the Matoran were, like, up to a Toa's knee. So short guys and Tall Toa are fine.
  12. Personally, I think it'd be cool to see a blend of sci-fi and tribal. Still have the land be mostly wild and covered in nature but have Metru-like cities dotting the landscape. I just don't want it to be locked to a singular setting. Part of the reason why I hated 2007. Not enough variety.
  13. End. The whole Mask of Light deal, defeating Makuta, and awakening Mata Nui. I thought I heard somewhere that that was where they wanted to end, but they decided to continue it.
  14. This is what I'm wanting to happen. Defenders... Well, guess that explains that name! :P But seriously. Defenders need to defend something. If it's not their village, my bet's on the mask. Plus, them all wearing the same mask would kinda make more sense since it would unify them as a team (think of it as their uniforms).
  15. I'm not sure if that's adorable or disturbing. Definitely unique and creative, though.
  16. Not much, really. The only thing that's new is that we have prices. Defenders are all $10, Gali is $15. I don't think we got prices for the other sets, but we can infer Pohatu and Lewa are $15, and the others are in the $20-$25 dollar range. Oh, and Lego will be revealing a new theme at New York Comic Con. They handed out tickets to BZPower. Being it's the largest Bionicle fan site, people are speculating the new theme is Bionicle. But then it was suggested it could be Jurassic World sets, which would make more sense for Comic Con.
  17. I say keep the shells. Detail can come from printing and add-ons. Though that's not to say a few, new, detailed shell pieces wouldn't be welcome. I'm still quite fond of the machinery-looking shell from the fire villains.
  18. So if the Agent Helicopter is the large set, then I guess no villain base? :( I hope Antimatter has some sort of vehicle or mech or something at least.
  19. I thought it was supposed to end in 2003?
  20. Oh man. This sounds great! A huge copter? A cyberbike (crosses fingers for it to be an UA vehicle. TRON bike would rock!)? Beefy version of the car from Wave 1...? Is that the car from Infearno? I would assume so, but that already seemed pretty beefy. Drilltank sounds cool. Purple hooded guy! Alright! Something made me figure he'd be purple. Trans purple would be the best, though :D And new armor, yay!
  21. Hmmm... Least favorite... Honestly, it's hard to choose. I want to say Riverside Raid, but that's probably just me since it was the last set I got (hardly a big finale). But I think I'm going to go with it as being my least fav. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool set, and a nice little impulse buy. But when you look at other sets in an affordable price-range (Tremor and Infearno, mainly), it just falls short. And, yeah, I know. It's a small set, and there's not much you can do with it. But for what it is, it's a great little set. From least favorite to favorite I'd rank it as: Riverside Raid Tremor Track Hurricane Heist Toxic Meltdown HQ Infearno Interception But they're all very close. Especially Tremor Track, Hurricane Heist, and Toxic Meltdown. Overall, I think it's a very good balance. As the sets get more expensive, you pay for a higher quality. With the exception of a few, which gives you a great set at a lower price.
  22. No matter how much they call them "Masters", they will always be Toa.
  23. A Cyclops? Invisibility? Drills? AntiMatter!? This is going to be a kickin' wave. I assume AntiMatter is the hooded figure/mastermind. The invisibility one boggles me a bit, but I guess we have had transparent pieces. And trans minifig parts before, as well.
  24. It still bothers me that that half the Toa are more expensive... Just rubs me the wrong way.
  25. Stan 5345: Hurricane Heist is actually really cool. And the fact that it's so different from the rest of the sets makes it stand out (in a good way). Coupled with some neat functions and great minifigs makes it a wonderful set. Plus, two modes gives you two display options. TheLegoPerson9: Riverside Raid is nice for such a small set. It's a cute little vehicle with the (standard) great minifigs. It's just a nice little vehicle to drive around. And the top disconnects to become a jet ski thing, so that's a plus. Honestly, having all the sets, I can't not recommend any of them. They're all fantastic.
