Thanks for all the comments, guys! There has been a lot of talk about his ridiculously oversized lower legs...

All this discussion about needing Hero sets in a wave still doesn't debunk my idea of having Matoran as the main protagonists for a wave. For instance, the story could be like: Toa get captured, and then the Matoran come to save them. A little far-fetched considering Toa are far stronger than Matoran, but you never know. Plus, it'd be a nice message: You don't have to be big and strong to be the hero.

I'm betting it's glow in the dark. That would look super spooky at night.

Midquel... Journey of Takanuva. Takanuva shows up in the alternate, Bio2015 universe. So once we get a Takanuva figure, it's actually the same Takanuva from the original story! As cool as that would be, it'll never happen :P As for future waves and main Heroes, I think it'd be cool to see Matoran as the main Heroes for a wave/year. So, 6 small Matoran sets and 6 larger villain sets. Basically, it'd be like the Chronicler's Company sets that we never got. Hmmm... CCBS Chronicler's Company. Make it happen, Lego.

For the record, the original Bionicle had a lot of beasts/rahi/whatever with similar, simple names. Mostly in Bara Magna, though. Not saying it's good or bad, just that it's nothing new. (personally, I like the crazy, made up names). Still, it is weird to see. They're called spiders, and last I checked scorpions aren't spiders (though, both are arachnids if I'm not mistaken). I guess there are just different breeds of them?

About the Mask of Creation: 2015 seems to be going for a reboot (as in, dropping the old story in favor of a new one. Thought I'd say that to avoid confusion). So what does that say about the MoCr? We don't know if it'll belong to Artakha in this story. Just because it's called the Mask of Creation, can we assume that that's how it looks in the original story? In other words: Are we going to accept this appearance of the Mask of Creation as the appearance of Artakha's mask in the original story? I assume we could considering the similarities between the Toa's masks. Also: I'm sigging this.

I don't know. That's just how I feel with the term (I'm ashamed to say I haven't read any Neil Gaiman. I need to). I guess I don't really have any problems with "magic", but "raw magic" just sounds silly to me. Magic's magic. Is there really anything that can be "raw" about it? What's unrefined magic? (I guess we all have different interpretations of the concept) Also, I'm the kind of person who doesn't really need explanation in anything. Toa have elemental powers because they do. Masks have powers because they do. Toa Stones turn Matoran into Toa because they do. It's part of the.... Magic of the theme. Why does a fantasy world need over explanation? Whatever. I'm getting worked up over "raw magic" and discussing something that I could really care less about. So. Okoto. That sounds cool. I can dig it.

I feel "magic" has gained a connotation to it. I hear "magic" and think of the stereotypical wizard/magician with a wand and cape and whatever other paraphernalia. Applying the term magic to Bionicle just doesn't sit right. "Pure energy" or an equivalent would sound much better and more... Bionicle-y to me.

I was wondering if we'd get an armor piece that attached to the feet. That's wonderful.

I was thinking that maybe it could be possible to take the two halves of Onua's hammer and make them arm mounted. Not claws, but they could be shovels so he could have some form of digging implement.

The Hau. Saw that it looked like Jaller's movie Hau from the start. But that's part of my problem with it: it makes Tahu look way too young. He's always the older leader type character (a Stormer. Not a Furno). Oh, and the Pakari looks great. I approve.

Woah. Pohatu has the good elbows. They use the free balljoint, not the hinge-like one that's usually seen with knees and elbows. This means crossed arms and hands-on-hips poses! Yep. Pohatu's the best.

Thinking about the Hau... I don't really like the design, but I like the change. All the other masks are heavily redesigned versions of the Mata masks. Unique in their own way, but still reminiscent in some part to the originals. The prototype Hau pretty much looked exactly like the Mata version, and by comparison didn't jive with the other masks. This new one follows closer to the aesthetic of the other masks, and I appreciate that.

Oh hey, new pictures. -Gali looks loads better. The Kaukau has goggles! And I'm getting a very Scuba/Sub Slizer vibe from the chest printing for some reason. This is good. -Kopaka still looks fantastic. Love chunky legs on my robots so all is good. And gold Savage Planet paws for shoulder armor. That's cool. And I fail to see nipples. They aren't placed where nipples would be. Too high up and inward.... Wait, why am I talking about this? -Lewa. Probably my least favorite. Just doesn't seem very interesting. The Miru gained some weird segmentation on the face. Not sure how I like that. And that's not how you hold axes... Too close to the head. -LOSS: Finally we can drop Skull Krata! Anywho, looks great. I see a yellow gear on his lower right side. Definitely a function there. The face doesn't look too bad. I approve. -Pohatu! Looking awesome! I'm glad the first Toa I got in 01 is coming back as an amazing figure. Not much to say. The Kakama looks fantastic. -Tahu: I see he's adopted Stormer's giant chin. The Hau is bleh. I'm sure it'll grow on me eventually, but now... Eh. Otherwise, he still looks fairly good. -Other things: New legs on the Skull Spiders are sweet. Much more menacing than the old claws. And it looks like they'll have the angular packaging design. No more bags. I'll see what I can do... ;)

I'm more curious about Gali's shoulder pads. There's the shoulder armor (with the new Protector armor attached), below that is a bone with a trans blue shell, then there's another bone with gunmetal cladding, and then her hand. Making it look like her shoulders are super low on her body (or she has an extra joint in her arm, but I doubt that).

That's why it has a flight mode ;)

True, but it would a nice bit of "this is the direction we're going" kind of deal. Almost like following the actual production of the sets. Regardless, the MoCr art has made me hungry for more concept art. Seriously. We need an artbook.

Oh man. I never saw that. And since you can clip things to the forearms, you can make a Fusion Cannon!

I feel the website launch will be saved for Comic Con. In the meantime, I'd like to see one more reveal. More concept art would be cool, especially if it was concept art for environments and/or characters.

But dude. Concept art is best art. I agree, it'd be nice to see some official set pictures, but sometimes it's nice to see a behind-the-scenes/making-of. Especially considering we oftentimes don't get concept art. Also, I'm getting a very Transformers-y vibe from some the images. Amazing how much detail they stuff into them and how much they trim down.

I figured it was a typo for "Mask Maker". But I'm not going to look too deeply into that. I really like the one with two horns that make the big circular hole. Kinda sad that isn't the final version.

I feel cardboard boxes are the best route. Sure they aren't resealable, but they are collapsible. Provided they're sealed with tape, all you'd need to do is slit the tape on both ends, and it'll fold down.
